My Grandparents got the apartment for $300.00 a month for a 2 bedroom in the 60's which was pretty high priced for those years even though my uncle did all the architecture work.... The park across the street has tennis courts and paddleball courts and a nice playground. Of course Flushing Meadow Park is a huge Park with many many amenities. One of our favorite things is to walk around the lake at sunset. Priceless! The pool is closed right now pending renovation but when it's open I think this building will once again be five stars. We love our Doormen, especially Antoine and Tony there more like our own private concierge, much more than Doormen! They go out of their way to make sure that our needs are met and have often exceeded my expectations; sometimes I think they know what I need even before I realize I need it! These hard-working men make it a pleasure to live at the Fairview. 24 hour security is visible and constantly patrolling the building and the grounds. There is a courtyard with picnic tables and chairs to relax and enjoy the evening breeze. There is also a private play ground for residence and a small basketball court also. The huge laundry room makes it almost a pleasure to do laundry it is card operated and almost all the machines work very rarely have to wait for a machine. Parking can be a challenge so you may want to purchase an apartment that has a parking space on the lease already. There is both indoor and outdoor parking that is reasonably priced. The management office has always responded to my needs and addressed issues quickly and appropriately. Although I am not a pet owner, the building is pet friendly. Management seems to understand the importance of pet ownership and pet owners are respectful of their home and surrounding property. I have no issues with noise or pet waste. The subway is about a mile away. Plenty of buses within walking distance Including express buses to Midtown and downtown Manhattan.

Parker Towers -- Unsafe Conditions and Serious Structural Concerns…read more 104-40 Queens Blvd, Gramercy Building Living at Parker Towers has become a nightmare. What was once marketed as a "luxury community" is now a construction zone riddled with safety issues. The building shows visible structural cracks inside the walls and ceilings, and residents have been left to deal with the fallout while management and ownership pretend it's all fine. The ongoing construction has caused vibrations, dust, and damage throughout the building. Health and safety violations are being overlooked, and there's zero transparency from management about the impact of this work on the building's stability. Residents who report problems get brushed off or ignored. For the amount of rent charged here, this is completely unacceptable. Parker Towers needs an independent structural inspection and accountability from ownership (Blackstone) before something worse happens. Until then, I strongly advise anyone considering moving in: don't. The cracks aren't just in the walls -- they're in the way this place is being run.

While most of the units are apartments, a few are available as rentals, which makes it feel more like staying in a high-end condo than a traditional hotel. The amenities are outstanding: a fully equipped gym, game room, club room, reading lounge, and a beautiful pool area. The unit itself came with everything we needed, including a washer and dryer, fridge, electric cooktop, microwave, Nespresso machine, and reliable WiFi. The staff was also incredibly friendly and professional, making the experience even better. If you're looking for a comfortable, upscale place to stay in Westbury, The Selby is an excellent choice.

I was…read morethere for a week and they never cleaned my room once, they have a sign up that they clean the every three days. Additionally, they have no services, like breakfast or snacks...You're on your own. We stayed recently at the hotel right around the block and they had an indoor pool, breakfast, snack in the room and, snacks for purchase and even dinner service. For ambience the Selby for Services stay somewhere else. Let's not forget the price either at $400 a night weekdays and $799a night weekends plus tax. Wow
