Whoever answers the phone is rude and their policies are stupid as hell. My wife wasn't happy with the dentist to begin with, but they were the only place to take fidelis/medicaid. Then she missed an appointment in 2021 and again in 2022. Both were due to positive Covid tests so she wasn't ALLOWED to go. But because the appointment dates were within 24 hours she was dismissed and never again allowed to return, even 4 years later. EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS NOT ALLOWED IN THE OFFICE DUE TO A POSITIVE COVID TEST FROM A HEALTH CENTER. Honestly, eff this place. Read all the other reviews too, apparently the receptionist AND dentist have the same shitty attitude. Save yourself the trouble. Drive somewhere that takes medicaid/fidelis because these people are HORRENDOUS. read more

This place is awful. I went they canceled my apt and took someone else instead of me,, Didn't even tell me my apt was canceled, I showed up and was like wth obviously ... the rude hygienist/ receptionist was like I tried to call you an hour ago but you didn't answer. Beyond unprofessional. I never do reviews because I don't have time for this tbh except this place really infuriates me. Also they charged my insurance that they filled cavities for this day. My visit started out great! The hygienist was amazing! It turned horrible the minute Ms Canale walked in the room. She is the most unprofessional dentist I've ever met. She is dirty in appearance and dirty in attitude. She is downright mean to her patients. Seems to be a sadist as she enjoys inflicting unnecessary pain and then laughs about it in your face. Dental work is expensive, I've always paid out of pocket with my normal dentist because he does not accept my insurance. It just became too expensive so I decided to try and find a local dentist that accepted my insurance. I was able to get into Baybrook pretty quickly which I thought was great. I was impressed with how clean and pretty their office was. I went there for a cleaning and then two visits for fillings. At first Gina (the dentist) seems like she is nice, kind of laid back. But there just seems to be something off, like she doesn't have the "typical" professional attitude. One time when I was sitting in the waiting room I could clearly hear her talk about how nasty her patients are, either they dress dirty or they have an attitude. When I got in the chair she was telling me how nasty this one patient was. How his teeth were so dirty, so unkept that she almost got sick. Then she was laughing about it making comments on how nasty the rest of his family must be. On my last visit I had a cavity filled. A day later I noticed my bite was really off so I called and was able to get in, the dental hygienist adjusted it. After a few days went by and it was still feeling really weird so I called, got in again. Same thing happened but this time Gina adjusted it. I waited probably a week or so before calling in AGAIN because my bite was off and it hurt when I ate anything on that one side. I called, Gina answered told me to come in I think the next day, she said she would squeeze me in. So I went there, sat there for over an HOUR. People were coming in after me but going in ahead of me. After EVERYONE left she sat behind her desk acting like I wasn't there and she said WHATS YOUR NAME in a nasty tone. I told her, she said I don't have you written down, kind of like I don't know what to tell you, please leave. I said YOU are the one who made the appointment. She sat there for a few minutes almost like she was waiting for me to leave and sighed and said ok hurry up let me see what I can do. So same thing happened again, she adjusted it. Told me to lather my tooth with sensodyne toothpaste for a few weeks and it will get better. WELL it didn't. After about a month I called back and said my tooth still hurts, she VERY rudely said well there's nothing more I can do you need a root canal! I thought what in the world?? I asked her why a simple cavity would turn into that and in her aggravated tone said it needed to be done! A few weeks ago I called her office and left a voicemail saying I'd like to be seen because I'm having really bad tooth pain (same tooth she filled) my gums were all red/hot/inflamed and I was very concerned. They NEVER called me...(3 weeks went by).... I decided to go back to my old dentist thinking I had a nasty tooth infection, had to pay out of pocket only to find out that she didn't grind my filling down enough. He took X-rays of the tooth that she worked on, said there was nothing wrong with it it just needed to be adjusted a little bit. I unfortunately had a gum infection BECAUSE I was unable to chew on that tooth correctly for so long. So after MONTHS of not being able to chew right it was a simple fix. It literally took my old dentist 3 minutes to fix. The horrible thing about all of this is SHE WANTED TO GIVE ME A ROOT CANAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now all these people that call and say the receptionist is rude, its not the receptionist IT'S THE DENTIST. I cannot stress this enough, do NOT go there. If you have a concern or a complaint they will make you feel stupid, make you feel like you did something wrong. This woman has zero compassion. read more

Never in my life have I cried at the dentist until I sat in the chair at this office. From the very beginning the hygienist was making comments about my teeth. I will give her this she did a very good job with the cleaning but the rude and snarky comments I could've done without. At one point she asked me if I was in pain and my response was "just emotional". When Dr Canale came in it took a turn for the worse. I've never been spoken to so disrespectfully in my life. I'm too embarrassed to even repeat what was said to me but know it was incredibly rude and it was out in the open where everyone in the office was able to hear the rude things being said to me. I left crying. I will never go back there again. Dentists like this are why people have anxiety to go see a dentist in the first place. Do not go here. There are plenty of other dentists in this area who won't make you feel awful about yourself or fearful about going to see them. I wish I had read reviews before I went. It's easy to spot the reviews written in earnest vs the ones the office asked people to write. read more

They made me feel so unwelcome and stupid. I had an intense seizure that caused me to break 4 of my front teeth in half -Something you'd think they would at least pretend to care about. They told me "I know you think you look cute with piercings but they are going to ruin your teeth" - irrelevant to why I was there in the first place. Told me they'd let me know in a few WEEKS if they could fix my teeth but scheduled me for a cleaning 2 months from then because they said I didn't take care of my teeth.- You try brushing your teeth in excruciating pain. I came here because Baybrook Dental takes my insurance. Dr. Canale and her staff are great. Besides a cleaning, I've had a couple fillings and two crowns put on teeth that were broken. I care in with EXTREME pain for an abscess tooth and they told me I needed a root canal but didn't schedule it BUT they scheduled a cleaning for my teeth after they got done insulting me on dental hygiene and to the point of saying "I'm not calling you a lair but if you did brush your teeth it was for nothing" YOU try brushing your teeth with EXTREME pain. You know what they did for pain? 800mg of ibuprofen and 1000mg of Tylenol. This did nothing for pain. I got sick from taking so many pills and I had to go to urgent care because the dentist was closed on Friday and we didn't get a call back till Monday and all they said was "there was nothing else we can do for pain" I was in and out of urgent care with new pain meds that helped a lot. This place is horrible, they must not care about there Hippocratic oath and helping patients.. read more

We were new patients at Baybrook dental I am very disgusted with them. I brought my two daughters into the office to get fillings and it was a terrible experience for them both. Daughter #1 went in for her fillings they put her in the chair, put the plastic piece in her mouth that holds it open while they work, during the work she was having done the dentist cell phone rang she rudely got up and accepted the call. It was her daughter they talked about her day at school and what she was doing after school. Fifteen minutes later she returned to work on my daughter.The dentist was very rude to her assistant making remarks to her that were inappropriate. Then she was frustrated because my daughter was bleeding and she couldn't figure out why and said 'this is taking to long lets wrap this up" In an attempt to just hurry up she broke one of my daughters other teeth and didn't even think we should address that!!! Daughter #2 goes to get her work done and now the dentist is in such a hurry she tells the assistant she is going to skip some steps in an attempt to hurry up the process and get us on our way. Due to the of the lack of attention both my daughters filling are over filled and causing them much discomfort not to mention the tooth she broke!! This dental office and it's front desk staff proved to be the most unwelcoming, inpatient and inefficient dental office I have ever been to. I had the audacity to ask why we had been waiting two hours for an appointment and was told with a great deal of attitude and distain that they only have one dental hygienist in the office on any given day. Thus, they over book and are under staffed and yet offer no apologies and, in fact, have a way of making the patient feel at fault for inconveniencing them some how with our unreasonable request for dental care. The front desk staff is critical in making a good impression. They failed. I'll never come again! read more
