They got me in really quick, and I was surprised to see they had later evening appointments and Saturday appointments-perfect for those of us who work full time for the insurance we rarely get to use because most doctors don't like working Fridays or weekends either. I got in and out very quickly, my appointment took very little time surprisingly, the office was clean and the staff was very friendly and efficient. Dr. Vaughan was honest, frank, and answered my questions addressing concerns thoroughly and efficiently without making me feel like I was keeping him or boring him (that sounds odd but I've had a few eye docs and even worked for one for a while so it's something I've experienced more than once). After my appointment I was taken to the optician, Nikki (who of course was cool as sh*% because we had the same name), and she thoroughly explained my insurance, and helped me find a pair of glasses that not only looked good on my stupid-shaped face, but had beneficial attributes for me -like being lightweight and not giving me a headache because of where they sit on my ears. I also want to say that their selection of glasses was much better than other places I've been to in the area. They didn't all look exactly alike and their was a variety of brands and styles, and they didn't look like my mother or grandmothers glasses from 1980. I even found sunglasses I liked-which was important to me because I wear them for driving and get migraines. My glasses were ordered and I was out in like an hour from beginning to end. My glasses came in about a week as expected, and they gave me a few extra cleaning cloths and solution that they would refill for free anytime-unheard of in my experience and really awesome for those of us who clean their glasses frequently. This is also where the unique hours really helped me out because I didn't have to take off work to go pick them up! And I know if I ever need them adjusted I won't have to take off for that either. The selection of glasses might not be as extensive as some of the big chains, but they have more than enough to choose from...and a diverse enough offering for anyone. Dr. Gardner is also very patient with this particular patient (yes...moi). I have been having a difficult time locating contact lenses that I don't hate. I just can't find a brand that doesn't make me want to rip my face off after a few hours. Dr. Gardner is trying EVERYTHING to help me find a good pair of contact lenses. I really like that they use state of the art equipment and are really good at appointment reminders (texts AND emails). They're also great with cancellations; I recently had to reschedule an appointment and it was easy peasy. The facility is super clean and I almost never wait more than a couple of minutes for my appointment. They're efficient, too! Really nice neighborhood place to go for contact lenses, glasses and regular eye examinations.

The new doctor Dr Sweet deliberately falsified a physical finding of his examination of my eyes to…read morestate in his notes I was having a vitreal separation when in fact he found no such physical finding. what he told me was it was his conjecture that I might be having that condition not that there was a physical finding. I went to a retinal specialist immediately and he found NOTHING wrong with my eyes NOTHING. what is disturbing is Dr Garner refused to acknowledge this when I spoke with her.As a result I quit her practice. in truth my experience of her care had been excellent up to that juncture. However her refusal to acknowledge that her new doctor had falsified a physical finding and in doing so nedlessly frightening me and causing me the added expense of seeing a retinal expert. I am severely disappointed in her failure to acknowledge Dr Sweets unethical behavior and properly address it.

Matthew never did. You just had to accept his word for gospel When I called the office on the weekend to get a refill on Simbrinza he called me back and started arguing with me and telling me he couldnt refill because i wasn't a patient anymore even though i described how i had gone back and set up any appointment with Glaucoma Consultants in Slingerlands as he had said to. but he was very combatitive and not at all wanting to listen to me. I have been a loyal Bay Optical customer, purchasing multiple pairs of glasses for my daughter…read more Unfortunately, but our most recent experience was so negative that we will not be returning. When we picked up my daughter's glasses at the Saratoga office in October 2023, the optician was rude and dismissive. The glasses didn't fit properly, so we returned for an adjustment. I specifically requested another staff member, who was more polite, but the glasses still slipped. On a third attempt, this time at the Glens Falls office, we again left with glasses that would not stay on my daughter's face. The far bigger issue came when I requested my daughter's pupillary distance (PD) measurement -- part of her patient record and something I am legally entitled to. I am aware that PD can be measured when new glasses are issued or taken at home, but that does not give them the right to withhold information that legally belongs to me when I requested it. For clarity: According to sections 29.1(b)(7) and 29.2(b) of the Rules of the Board of Regents and section 18 of the Public Health Law, providers must release this information upon request. The NYS Office of the Professions confirms this here: https://www.op.nysed.gov/professions/ophthalmic-dispensing/frequently-asked-questions Despite citing the law and sending multiple emails, multiple phone calls, and even mailing a written request, Bay Optical refused to provide it for nearly two years. At one point I was even hung up on. They could have just given me the PD from 2023, but instead they gave me a copy of my daughter's 2017 prescription (which I never asked for) . With the help of the NYS Office of the Professions, I finally received the documented PD from Bay Optical. No one should have to fight this hard for basic information. Between the poor service, the unprofessional behavior, and the refusal to comply until NY state got involved, Bay Optical has lost our trust completely. I hope if anyone else asks for their record information and it gets denied, this review helps speed up the process for you. Do not get your glasses here. My frames cracked after only 5 months…read more I'm 74 yrs.old and not particularly tough on my glasses. I was cleaning them and noticed a crack. There is a 1 yr. warranty but you have to pay $40 to use the warranty, I've never heard of such a thing. I need to find someplace else to get my glasses. This was my first pair of glasses from Bay Optical. Lesson learned.

After returning from a weeks vacation in which I ended up in an…read moreurgent care facility in NC, I was diagnosed with "Pink eye" and given a script which I filled there at the closest pharmacy. Spent the last few days of vacation not being able to use my left eye. Got home and called the office and explained my situation and was given an appointment for the next day. When Dr Davison examined me he told me I didn't have Pink Eye but a very serious infection and had I not called I faced the real possibility of losing my sight in that eye. He gave me an injection of antibiotics in my eyeball, didn't hurt btw, to combat the infection. To stress how serious it was, Dr Davison gave me his cell number and said to call him if I didn't experience an improvement or it got worse. It took quite a while for my eye to return to normal and if I hadn't called him who knows what the outcome would have been, to me that was the definition of patient dedication.

I tried to ask Dr. Mouhab Aljajeh some questions, but he rushed me through, insisting I sit down (for a 1 or 2 minute "surgery") and did not answer my questions. I would have walked out but was leaving area for 2 months and needed better vision. Then, I found out the TOTAL bill is $1100 because the surgery center bills their share and Mouhab bills his share, so basically it was twice their estimate. CDPHP said this is allowed and nothing they can do.
