Shots are never fun, but there is always a bowl full of lollipops at the end of our visit. My husband and I have never waited more than a few minutes for our appointment before we are called into the doctor's office. I really like how the office separates the sick patients from the well patients. The well patients waiting room eased our stress as first time parents since we had to visit for all of the newborn immunizations during cold and flu season. If I had any complaints it would be that the parking spaces are a bit tight, but that is expected in South Tampa.

The biggest issue is we waited close to an hr before being seen by the Dr. The tech advised us to leave our newborn on the table without clothes while we waited. After 10 minutes we had to redress our newborn and keep her warm. Every pediatric visit with our firstborn was 10-15 minutes wait tops. This office lacks empathy and consideration. We will be finding a new pediatrician.

So far it has been one month since we requested our our sons medical records from this office. They have steered us to online and fax requests which we have sent. Their "medical records department" has given us no confirmation or contact. They refuse to give us any contacts or path other than "repeat what you've done". ONE MONTH of requests and calls (they refuse to give any emails) so we can't even document a digital paper trail. Their practices have created terrible stress and ARE PREVENTING OUR NEWBORN FROM GETTING HEALTHCARE! This office says "it's completely out of our hands" but they have another part of their company that has provided no answers, no accurate timelines, and no confirmations of anything received or sent.

Thank you to Dr. Kanarek at Nadal Pediatrics for saving my child…read more My review is 3 months late, it has been a BAD summer. On June 19, I went to Nadal Pediatrics, quite urgently. My daughter had a (butterfly rash, purple hued dusky knees, red knuckles and had lost use of her hands) group of weird symptoms. She had a rash and I had already scheduled a future appointment, but the achy hands before the 18th she had been icing herself, this is the date she could no longer close/fist her hands. My mom thought was, "she hurt her wrist/hands in gymnastics." Not even thinking any of this could be related. To make a very long, sad, hard story shorter, we came in to see Dr. Kanarek on the morning of the 19th of June. He literally took one look at my 10-year old beautiful baby girl and says she needs a specialist immediately. "I see Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus or Juvenile Dermatomyositis." I start to shake and react like a parent with fear. We left the office in about 45 minutes, Dr. Kanarek had already reached out to Specialists at All Childrens Hospital and was confirming a morning appointment on the 20th. We were admitted immediately after a chat with the specialist. No overnight clothing or preparation, we spent 3 nights at the hospital. Our daughter had Juvenile Dermatomyositis, she is part of a 3 in 1 million group of patients. Without this keen observation on the part of Dr. Kanarek, I fear we would have lost my child. Diagnosis average time is 17 to 18 months and by then most children suffer heart and lung damage or suffer paralysis of joints or muscles. She has this and it is an Auto-Immune Disease for life, but she is alive and has no permanent muscle damage. However, I was able to get squeezed in. The security, front desk receptionist and lab staff were so kind/helpful. My daughter was able to remain calm during the blood draw and after they let her get a little treasure box prize. Highly recommend for lab work.
