We couldn't be more pleased with the staff and teachers of Bayer. Our oldest daughter has been enrolled at Bayer for 3 years beginning with the PreK 3 program, she will be starting the 1st grade this fall. Her reading, writing, math, and problem-solving comprehension are extremely advanced for a 6-year-old. The teachers she has had in the 3 years she's been at Bayer have all been great to work with. They are committed to their kids, and their success. I can't speak to the negative comments regarding this school. But as a parent of a child going into first grade and of one going into the PreK 3 program this fall, I would recommend this school to anyone who is willing to put in the work to be successful. Bayer is a challenging school, the teachers and curriculum ask a lot of the kids and their parents. If you are not willing to work hard with your child and show them how to work hard, they will not have a good time. Our daughter has learned the value of putting in work and seeing the payoff. I think in today's world, teaching respect, hard work and discipline are very important. These are things that a child barely out of Kindergarten is learning. Disappointed, we have been looking around for a private school for my 5 year old son. We called to get information and a possible tour, my husband got in touch with I believe the admissions lead. Her immediate tone about our son previously attending a public school for preschool came off condescending, basically saying he would not be able to keep up with the curriculum. Before even evaluating or meeting us. This could be an incredible school, but they need to reconsider the way they treat potential student families. We will look elsewhere. read more

Have you ever had a relationship that you wanted to work ? I wanted Bayer to work for my children and for the west valley, but unfortunately, it didn't. Our son has been at Bayer for the entirety of its existence, for 6 years. We LOVE this school. Staff and teachers are fantastic. Curriculum gets better and better each year! My son began in 1st grade and is now in 6th grade. The middle school program is wonderful. They have recognized where he needs a little extra guidance and have been working with him over the years. In 4th grade, he hated writing. Would almost come to tears about it. Now, he is writing happily and a lot! His character and personal development have really blossomed at Bayer. He is happy and confident! We were at a different school for kindergarten...older kids were punching younger kids in front of staff and staff did nothing. Kids within his class were not welcoming if we did not belong to their church. The teacher was awful. There is absolutely none of that at Bayer! This school is so diverse and it has been wonderful to teach kids about the different people in the world, not just who belongs to your church. My son sees no difference in skin color, religion, etc. He just sees human beings like him. read more

We are so happy with the teachers and staff. Bayer is providing exceptional curriculum to each of their students. The class sizes are kept small and the teachers are highly qualified and passionate about students' learning. Here they focus on the whole child. Math, music, languages, reading, writing, art, computers, AND manners!!! My kids are each a grade (at least) above state requirements and expectations. The teachers infuse in their daily lesson plans to make it interesting for all learning types. My son is very high energy and he is reading third grade level books! My daughter is still in PreK and she is beginning to read and already writing her name with beginning site word recognition. Math is also highly accelerated. I am very proud and believe we need a great village to raise our kids. I found my little slice of heaven. Thank you, Bayer!! read more

I've had two kids go through the PreK program and have excelled. Both had the teacher the other reviewer mentioned, even though the reviewer can't seem to correctly spell the name of educator they provided. It's a structured educationally-focused program. There is plenty of opportunity before you register your child to determine if it's right for you and your family. The Bayer community in my opinion is absolutely wonderful. Every teacher (even the middle school ones) know my children by name and regularly engage them. They truly want every child to excel. Academically, my daughter just finished her K testing with 20 points above the expected range on phonetics and 15 points above the expected range for reading - AND that was even after not focusing on any educational learning over the summer to give her a break. She's already achieved 3/4 of her math testing goals for K and the school year just started. Bayer in our opinion was the right investment. It gave our daughter the confidence to excel educationally while she continues to work on her social skills. read more

Homework I am a researcher by nature and profession. This school's approach to homework is consistent with the grade levels as well as preparing all of the students with advanced education requirements and goals. Teachers at this school are effective In my experience, the teachers have a solid and vested interest in their students. They create an atmosphere that is consistent with the school's goals of higher education and challenging the students to reach for their specific goals and interests. It is also very evident that the teachers also care about the emotional as well as the educational growth of their students. Leadership at this school is effective: The leadership in this school is also very effective. The individuals that comprise the principle, administrative staff, school nurse, arts and sciences teachers are not only vested in the education goals and growth of the student but in their welfare as well. This school develops strong character in its students, like integrity, compassion and respect: One should review the school's web site to review the motto of the school. The five points are "As a student of Bayer Private School: "I treat others with RESPECT and COMPASSION I act with INTEGRITY and RESPONSIBILITY And I find success through my PERSEVERANCE." This motto defines the foundation of this school. This school effectively supports students with learning differences This school's curriculum is designed for accelerated students and at least one grade level ahead. The teachers are highly qualified and accomplished who care about their students. This school effectively deals with bullying: I have yet to observe any evidence of "bullying" at this school. Again, the administrative and teaching staff has created an atmosphere of learning, consideration of others and communication to the students, parents and staff. Is this school perfect? No. I do know that when a specific disciplinary event occurs, the staff is quick to address the issue then communicates, effectively with the students and parents. How would you rate your experience at this school? I rarely write reviews as my expectations are extremely high. When I make the effort to write the review, it is because this review is well deserved. In this case, Bayer Private School not only deserves this rating, but it exceeds this level. Love this place. We have been fortunate to be part of Bayer from the beginning. We transferred our son, then a second grader, out of an "A+" rated public school, hoping he would be motivated and encouraged to do more. What a difference! He is now in 6th grade and our daughter started the pre-K 4 program and is now in 2nd. Bayer sets high academic goals, but provides the teachers and culture to help all kids achieve! They truly honor their mission to create motivated, benevolent learners. Bayer creates a warm, rich environment for learning and fun. I only wish this opportunity was available to all. This is a great school. Our children have been in the pre school and elementary programs. Not only is the curriculum accelerated, they also have a strong emphasis on character development. Our children have loved going to school there, each day coming home hardly being able to wait to tell us all about their day. They have also learned so much and have proven the teachings work by testing far above the state's standard. The teachers and staff are warm. They seem to know all the kids names on the first day of school, often times greeting them at drop off and pick up. The teachers are wonderful about communicating what the children are learning and how we at home can help. I would not send my child to any other preschool. read more

Follow-up on my mission to make sure everyone is aware of how horrible this school/pre3 program is. It's crazy to me that every year since I posted this review I get contacted by a parent super upset about the way their child is being treat. The parents are almost in disbelief that their child is being attacked/bullied by a teacher(ms yonkie). But it's real this teacher and school are the worst I've seen. We have been at Bayer for 3+ years now and cannot say enough about the staff, the curriculum, and the facilities! I am a teacher by trade, so when it came time to pick a school for our daughter, this was obviously a decision we did not take lightly. We wanted to make sure she would receive the best education possible. Bayer promises accelerated academics, and it has delivered on this promise year after year! The curriculum has been carefully crafted to include above grade level STEM (science, technology, English, & math), and is well balanced with many of the enrichments that have gone by the wayside in education. They have daily Spanish and P.E. instruction, technology, and music classes. The school has limited class sizes, which I can really appreciate as an educator! There are no more than 20 children in any one class which really maximizes the learning experience for each child. The staff is warm, loving, and genuinely caring. Every staff member from the principal to the lunch aides know us and our child by name. We are always greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. Our daughter's teachers have been amazing. Not only are they "the cream of the crop" as educators, they are also kind, loving, and nurturing. My daughter loves going to school each day and I attribute this, in part, to her teachers! Bayer is an investment in your child and their education, but it is an investment you will see a huge return on! She is constantly challenged academically and is happy learner that will be well prepared for high school and beyond! read more
