Communication with the teachers has also been great whenever we've needed to reach out or ask questions. Overall, it's a great community and we've had a very positive experience here so far. Admin needs to learn to deal with them so the other kids can learn. Dress code needs to be consistent across all students, and perhaps teachers and staff/admin. Less of a focus on making money and more of being a school as the A rating should show. Sad that it has changed over the years getting too big. Many state they have to come there because other schools would charge for lunches.

Despite my twins attending public school for nearly seven years without accommodations, a Dream City secretary informed me that they did not believe they could accommodate my children's needs. When I asked for specific details about the "needs" they felt they could not accommodate, I was repeatedly met with the same vague explanation. Since January 2024, I have made numerous calls inquiring about the reasons for the denial. Frustrated with the lack of specificity, I visited the school in person to schedule a meeting with the principal for further clarification. An appointment was set, but upon my arrival for the scheduled appointment, I was informed that the principal had left for a family emergency and my meeting would need to be rescheduled. Despite my multiple attempts to reschedule the appointment, I have been met with the secretary insisting that the principal "sent an email," which I have not received, and constantly assuring me that he will send one. It is disheartening that a supposedly Christian school would lack the common courtesy of following through with their promises and providing transparent communication. I left another message last week and am still waiting for a call. This is AFTER I spoke with the secretary the previous two weeks and, each time, was told the principal would get back to me. As someone who paid to have two applications reviewed, I think it only seems appropriate to provide more information. If my children could attend public school for seven years without accommodations, your concerns are based on assumptions from a very outdated IEP without clarification or discussion with me.

Academically, reading instruction occurred only twice per week, which led to significant delays and was especially concerning given the school's small class size and private setting. There was a noticeable lack of individualized academic support. Supervision and school culture were also troubling. On multiple occasions, staff did not assist my child during drop-off. Inappropriate behavior and language among students went unaddressed, including name-calling from older students. A teacher's response that this behavior "meant they loved her" was deeply concerning and unacceptable. Communication was inconsistent and often unclear. Progress reports were repeatedly delayed and, when finally received, contradicted prior conversations about my child's academic struggles. Additionally, my child's tutor identified academic deficiencies that had never been communicated by the school, and there were inconsistencies between staff regarding her progress. Overall, this experience showed a lack of accountability, communication, and appropriate support. Families should ask detailed questions about accommodations, academic intervention, and how student behavior is handled before enrolling.

The kids always enjoy their teachers, and they have a lot of fun little extras. The school office is now designed with locking doors and is very secure. They have a higher standard as far as curriculum, and with online access it is easy to keep track of progress. They offer before and after care which is in their cafeteria, also locked and secure with check in and id required.

I started here as a student in 5th grade up to 8th grade, starting 6th grade I have had horrible experiences with not only the administration here but many of the teachers. Almost every year here I have been called up to the office for 'inconveniences' they believe were me just because of my 'record'. Keep in mind, I have NEVER received a detention here or at any of the schools I have ever been at, they have accused me of flooding the school, fighting, talking sexually, even have been written up for these claims, but never have I done such and their only proof was random rumors spread about me, I was purposely targeted from Mrs. Goshow & Mrs. Nash (AS Principal and Principal) due to the fact I brought up major concerns to them every year that were necessary to address. Speaking of that, if you are a parent who does not fund the school, participate in PROP, or has/has had an A+ student, you will not be listened too. My parents have been belittled and dismissed on major safety concerns regarding teachers and the facility. When it comes to the facility, you do not expect a K-8 school to be perfectly clean, but Painted Rock is disgustingly filthy; the pipes in the bathrooms leak and flood, there has been a broken window that has yet to be fixed as of the time I left (May 22nd), the floors are cracking and have stains all over them, theres black mold on the ceiling vents in the bathrooms and in office hallway, there is a hole in one of the walls, and the AC constantly gave out and leaked all over our desks from the tiles. I addressed all these problems to admin, but I was yelled at; told I was wrong, and called directly to my face I am 'sensitive' and a 'liar'. When it comes to SPED classes, they do not 'teach' your child to be better, they do not teach them how to comprehend a lesson, they automatically pass a SPED student, and it encourages low effort. No child in the SPED classes are equally cared about, some are more cared about than others, some are ignored, some are spoiled by the teachers. I know this as I had several friends from those classes approach me. There are some great teachers, but many yell, bully, and discourage. They are there simply to come and go, they do not care about their students, do nott get me wrong, they have some pretty good teachers though. (FYI: Only 80% of the teachers are qualified.)

She has been unhelpful throughout the process with registering my son and consistently speaks in a rude and dismissive tone. This school also takes forever to approve your child's enrollment. They're not that great so we will be going elsewhere. I started this enrollment process back in March! And we're going into august. Head up, You are able to go online and file an enrollment complaint through district. The school has shut off their reviews on Google because they know they they have people complaining.
