They are in my network, meaning they have to abide by the prices my insurance set. Giving them financial information, under that pretence, would allow them to take money from your bank account or charge to your credit card without your knowing. This has happened before with a dentist I used. They charged me for what my insurance wouldn't pay. Tried to tell me they called to let me know, yeah right. In other words, it's like signing blank checks and handing them over to a business (person) you don't know.

I wasn't given a full-body skin exam and, more importantly, I wasn't even given the opportunity to fully explain my specific concerns, including skin issues and symptoms I wanted evaluated because of my medical condition. The doctor seemed more focused on getting through the appointment quickly than actually listening to why I was there. I understand offices can run behind, but patients should not have their appointments rushed because of it. Afterward, I was expected to continue waiting even longer despite explaining that I needed to return to work. When I expressed that I was unhappy with the visit and asked for my copayment back because I did not feel I received the care I came for, they refused. I took time off work, paid my copay, and waited to be seen. The very least I expected was enough time to explain my concerns, have them properly evaluated, and feel like the doctor actually cared about why I was there.
