Trying to be a new patient made my app. I showed up filled out my paperwork about 30 min later. I was called to the desk and appointment needed to be rescheduled. Seriously..call me ahead of time and cancel over the phone don't wait for me to come in and waste my time. Very disappointing experience. I waited over 20 minutes to be seen after taking time off work for this appointment, only to be rushed through an approximately five-minute visit. I wasn't given a full-body skin exam and, more importantly, I wasn't even given the opportunity to fully explain my specific concerns, including skin issues and symptoms I wanted evaluated because of my medical condition. The doctor seemed more focused on getting through the appointment quickly than actually listening to why I was there. I understand offices can run behind, but patients should not have their appointments rushed because of it. Afterward, I was expected to continue waiting even longer despite explaining that I needed to return to work. When I expressed that I was unhappy with the visit and asked for my copayment back because I did not feel I received the care I came for, they refused. I took time off work, paid my copay, and waited to be seen. The very least I expected was enough time to explain my concerns, have them properly evaluated, and feel like the doctor actually cared about why I was there. If I had a choice, I would never use this facility or any doctor there. My appointment was set up to remove a skin tag just below one eye. On the day of removal, they included a bump on my nose, which, they claimed could skin cancer. Unfortunately, after numerous attempts and letting them know when the best time to reach me, I still have not received the results of the biopsy. These are not doctors that actually care about their patients. The only thing they care about is money they can bring in by racking and stacking as many people as they can. My experience with Vitalogy Skincare in Harker Heights was unfortunately disappointing and left me lacking confidence in moving forward with a procedure there. During my initial consultation, I felt the dermatologist was very rushed. The appointment lasted less than 10 minutes despite costing me approximately $80 out of pocket, and I did not feel there was much opportunity to ask additional questions or fully discuss my concerns. My experience with the front desk was also frustrating. My insurance company, BCBS, recommended that I obtain the procedure codes so I could get a clearer estimate of my out-of-pocket costs. When I requested them, the person assisting me seemed skeptical and somewhat negative about the request, commenting that "nobody had ever asked for this before." I found that response surprising, since patients should be able to obtain this information when trying to understand the cost of a medical procedure. I was later told that the proposed treatment for my cyst would be a "shave-off." When I specifically asked whether this was being recommended because the clinic was limited in the procedures it could offer, I was told that they were limited. This concerned me because I want to know that a treatment is being recommended because it is the most appropriate option for my condition--not simply because it is the procedure available at that particular clinic. When I had additional questions before the scheduled procedure, I was unable to speak directly with the dermatologist and had to receive the explanation through another staff member. I cannot comment on the quality of the procedure itself because I have decided not to proceed with it at this time. However, based on my experience with the communication, rushed consultation, difficulty getting my questions addressed, and the clinic's stated limitations regarding treatment options, I have decided to seek a second opinion elsewhere before proceeding. For an elective medical procedure, I believe patients should feel informed, comfortable asking questions, and confident that they have been given the opportunity to understand the available treatment options. We've had to make a few appts in Harker Heights a few times and first of all, the front desk ladies are WONDERFUL! I saw Dr Nailing and I felt very comfortable and at ease at my appt. He is very personable and amazing at his job. I highly recommend the clinic as I do feel they work very hard to meet all of their patience needs in a timely manner. Even in emergencies, I have been seen quickly. New patience might take a bit longer but once you are in the system, they accommodate much quicker. I appreciate that so much. read more

The staff as whole. They messed up on my birthday and had two accounts and on each there wasn't any of my information on it medically. They are unprofessional and don't really check you they just recommend medicine and see you in 6months. Also low staff. read more

If I could give it 0 stars. I would. **don't go here** First. Make sure you have insurance that will actually cover their dermatology appointments. If not they will charge you over $300 for a less than 5 min consult in which the guy asked me questions to which I'd say no haven't changed anything or used anything or taken new medication or nothing then (without doing anything other than holding a flashlight to my face) said it's this and it's because of topical steroids that you use (which I had already answered I didn't use any and he wouldn't even look at the products I took a picture of that I use to see if those had anything bad in them) But because he had to prescribe me something it cost an extra $100 to be seen for less than 5 min. Oh and the prescription which I repeated the pharmacy I wanted multiple times to plenty of different people is also NOT THE ONE they sent my prescription to. Now I'm running all over town and spending way too much money for something that probably won't work just so they can get me back in there in 5 weeks to pay another office fee. Oh and they wrote my "diagnosis" on a scrap piece of paper- not sure where my $300 goes but I guess it's not on legit doctor stuff like actual paper that can print out my issue and information about it. read more

I do not recommend this office. It took me 8 months to be seen. They kept calling me and cancelling. Then when I finally got in, they were absolutely worthless at Any kind of help. Discounted all my issues, told what I consider to be blatant lies in regards to my condition, which has already been diagnosed by my GP. Worthless, waste of time. Patricia over the rx area of the office was horrible. She spoke over me the entire time using phrases such as "this isn't my first rodeo," and when I asked for an office manager, "you can just hang up the phone." She then disconnected the line. Gave no good information or help On a positive note, I called back and spoke to Amanda in the call center. Amanda was kind, patient, and informative. She and I worked to find a resolution for my issue. She conveyed important information for a clear understanding of the problem. Patricia needs to be reprimanded and Amanda needs a raise! read more

I would have given this a 4 or 5 star review when it comes to the actual service, but the front desk ladies were so horrible I just can't. It's not too often that you meet people who are just nasty to be nasty. From the moment we walked in bit he front counter ladies were just out right rude. Very unprofessional. Eye rolling and mumbling as they moved ever so slowly. It's unbelievable that this business which does a great job with skin care has such rude front counter employees. read more

I have been going to this clinic for a few years and never had any problems. I recently had a problem where I had to cancel an appointment. Then today 27 November 2018 I tried to call this clinic and make an appointment. NOT GOOD!!! I called and it was answered by a machine telling me if I wanted to make an appointment press 1, talk to a nurse press 2 etc; Well, I pressed 1 and all I got was a busy signal, then I said what the hell. I called again and this time I pressed 2 and then I got an explanation telling me to log into the "PORTAL" for my results etc; I guess my real question would have to be: "GET A LIVE BODY THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO ANSWER YOUR PHONE." It's really sad when one can't even make an appointment!!!! read more

I went there for a serious skin issue. My PA Mrs. Lynch is very stuck up, not caring, not listening to no concern that could be a serious issue later on and seem to have an attitude every time ! As a patient I did not felt cared for and I can not recommend to see her at all. read more

My husband has been a patient of Dr Bhandarkar for 2 years and she is the most competent and compassionate physician that we have met. She is thorough in her exams, takes time to answer questions, and puts the patient at ease. Her exams rooms and waiting area are clean and her staff is knowledgeable about procedures, practices, and insurance/billing. Dr Bhandarkar has professional, but comfortable, bedside manner. We wouldn't consider trusting any other Skincare Specialist after being treated by Dr S. Bhandarkar. I highly recommend Dr Bhandarkar to anyone with skin tags, lesions, or other Dermatological issues. read more

Went here the other day for a skin exam. Everything went well it is recommended you get a skin exam once a year. Dr. Bhandarkar had great bedside manner, and the experience from front desk to the medical assistants was second to none. I'm glad I went to this dermatology clinic. read more

Their ability to communicate with the patient is horrible. When I called to ask about my results the said log in to the portal with the login information given to you when you checked out. Well I didn't get any information and the fact that they can't verbally speak with a patient is deplorable. I will not be going back there. read more

I saw Dr. Sulochana S. Bhandarkar for pre-cancers. My first impression was she had a Hollier than thow attitude. She seemed to think I was there to support her needs and not the opposite. She wanted to take the easy for her way out and allow me to chemically burn the skin off my both hands and arms from the knuckles to the elbow when there was only and 20 small areas that needed frozen off. She was ok with me doing this at home and made no follow up appointment. I been cutting them off with a knife ever since. The precancers were not an emergency yet, so she seemed bothered by the appointment. I guess I should have waited till they were cancer then she would felt better or at least that she was going to get more money from the treatment. But prevention is NOT what she is about in my opinion. She is about lining her pockets. She left such a bad impression on me that I would rather cut them off with a knife at home, Very painful, than go back to her. They had moved and change company names, but still same people and poor service even from the front desk. read more
