Be Cautious--Review Your Bill Carefully…read more I was charged by ATI Physical Therapy, Flower Mound, Texas for a remote monitoring app that I was repeatedly told was free. When I discovered the charge, I contacted the clinic and spoke with Karissa, who confirmed the app should be free. She even checked with the Area Director, who also verified that I should not have been charged for the app. My physical therapist Mina also confirmed the same. Despite these assurances, the charge was never removed. I contacted their patient advocate multiple times--at least 10 calls--and spoke with their manager, Ann, on July 9. She promised to follow up within 3 to 5 business days, but I never heard back. Please note that I was charged for remote assistance on Sunday, June 8 - even though the clinic was closed that day and I never used the app, just installed it. This charge is not only unjustified--it feels fraudulent. ATI has yet to take any action to correct the error. I ultimately decided to pay the bill and write this review to share my experience. I strongly urge others to review their bills carefully and follow up persistently if anything seems incorrect.

The director, Alex, repeatedly mentioned a sales representative and recommended a device for home use, rather than providing hands-on treatment or guidance. When I asked specific questions about my condition, Alex could not provide answers. I had called ahead to confirm that this clinic works with patients who have Bell's palsy, but this session did not reflect that expertise. My previous experiences with physical therapy were nothing like this, and I feel that I wasted both my time and money. Overall, the appointment did not meet my expectations for a professional evaluation or treatment. Updated-I called immediately after my appointment on 8/18/25 because I was so dumbfounded by the service I received. The receptionist said Alex would call me on Wednesday, 8/20/25, around 3 PM, but I never received a call back. On 8/19/25, I called the billing department and was told the issue would be escalated and that I would receive a call back. I never heard back, which is not acceptable. When I followed up again on Wednesday, another billing representative told me I would not be refunded because the insurance claim had already been paid. This has been extremely frustrating. You already have my email and phone number to make this right, as I've done my part and tried to resolve this directly with you.

They spoke softly, encouragingly, and continue to let her know that they were doing the best they could to help her without causing her any pain. She is always clean, dressed and clean clothes, and in a good mood when I come to visit. The staff to patient ratio seems extremely high, and the executive director is very approachable. First, I was charged a no-show fee for an appointment with a PA that I never scheduled. Second, I was charged a no-show fee for a Monday PT appointment during a major ice storm, when schools were closed for multiple days and the City of Irving Police Department advised residents to stay off the roads. Most businesses, including grocery stores and banks, were also closed. If the clinic had used its texting system to clearly notify patients that appointments were still being held and that no-show fees would apply, that would be different. But expecting patients to travel in unsafe conditions without any communication is unreasonable. Because of this billing approach, I'll be continuing my care elsewhere.
