Little did I know it was an event going on and the rooms would be booked at a premium. The hotel is right across from the hospital and down the street from the mall with easy access to the freeway. It has a full gym, pool and cafe inside. They serve breakfast but didn't have milk. We didn't mind because we were there a short time. I was so pleased because the check in clerk was super nice and patient as I could not find my license. She waited. While on the way, I got a call to ask if I needed two beds. They didn't have the room I booked. Since my son was with us I said I did. She upgraded us to "the studio commons". When I tell you this room was so nice. It was like a studio apartment with a separate entertainment space suitable for a small party and a regular sized king hotel room connected. The only downfall is that there was one restroom and the bedroom access is locked from the studio. They gave us two keys because it's hard to prop the door open and it locks. Full pull out couch sectional, plenty of table space and bar setup. Full refrigerator, stove and microwave. They even had dishes and two tvs. The bedroom was nice and had all the essentials, good closet space and restroom. Desk and a safe. I will book here again, the room is about $600 a night but well worth it if you have an event. We paid a regular room rate as the upgrade was complimentary.

The kitchen has a stove, microwave, dish/glassware, and a full-size refrigerator; very nice amenities if you prefer cooking/preparing your own meals. The bed was comfortable and no issues with room temperature. Additional perks include a spacious exercise room and excellent breakfast where they prepare the items for you upon your order. Staff is friendly and attentive; I'd be open to staying here again should I have another assignment in these areas.

My first impression was how clean everything looked. Not only did it feel clean but it also smelt clean. The staff was very friendly, attentive and quick to check us in. The room was spacious and very clean as well. Breakfast was the standard hotel breakfast - nothing fancy but everything was properly placed. Hot items were hot and cold items stayed in an accessible fridge. If I'm ever in this area I would definitely stay here again.

As I was leaving the next morning, my cooler spill and there was ice and water that I cleaned up with the extra towels. There was housekeeping staff member in the hallway and I told her what had happened. She said that was ok as the floor would be mopped and that anyway it was not her assigned room. When I returned to my room later that evening, my card key didn't work. So I go down to the front desk and am given new cards. I return to the room to find that it had not been cleaned. The wet towels from cleaning up the spill were still piled up on the floor, the beds were not made and trash was still in the room. I return to the desk and informed the gentleman that my room had not been cleaned and that I needed towels. He proceeded to key something in and then said there was no housekeeping staff on site. It took 10 minutes to get towels! To add to that, the window shade didn't work so I woke up each morning to bright sunshine. They offered a 20% discount on the room rate which was an insult to injury. Should they have even stayed open with no hot water and with a breakfast bar with hot cooked items? Sanitation?

The lady checked to make sure the person who was checking in later needed a handicapped room before she moved us to another room. She called us & told us what new room we would be in. The 2nd room was just as nice as the first room. Staff on morning & night shifts were very pleasant & accommodating. Cash paying customers are required to pay a refundable $100 deposit. This is a little pricey but what are you going to do if all you have is cash! Absolutely no issues eith this hotel or the staff we encountered during our stay. We would most definitely stay here again. There are only a handful of restaurants. Pot & Paddle Cajun Kitchen & Chuck Lee Chinese attached to Casino were both not very good, but this is not the hotels fault.
