Don't let the advertisement of remodel fool you. Our shower was plumbed wrong and had only cold water, no screen on the filthy window, mold in the shower and sink, the halls and elevators needed a good vacuum/sweep. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The freezer door didn't close-it needed defrosting. Free breakfast was nice with sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy and waffles, but no one was around to keep it clean. When we arrived items needed restocked, tables needed washed, counters needed cleaned...cute ladybugs we're on the ceiling and floor. They ask for a $100 damage deposit.

The hallway had a roller stain from the cleaning cart. They just ignored it.

You have GOT TO BE KIDDING MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! Noooooo stars needs to be an option!!!! The MOST disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in!!!! The ceiling.. THE CEILING was falling on the bed! It was snowing popcorn ceiling. We literally had to ask the front desk for cleaning products to clean my room. I ended up leaving the hotel and spending most of my time out of the room. I just couldn't even get comfortable. I showered in my flip flops. They didn't clean anything, and I am 99% sure they didn't even change the bed linen. The shower was disrespectful and the carpets hadn't been clean in months! Unfortunately the owners/managers just don't care. They are very aware that the hotel is gross, but they just shrugged their shoulders and went on about the day. Never again...

    This is dusty.

This is trifling there are bugs in my room the service is bad. I don't recommend at all. The hall ways smell so bad , the elevator don't even get me started. If you want an honest review this is one I don't recommend. It's moldy and full of ladybug nest. The service was rude and it was just awful.

Don't stay here. The first problem we encountered was not being able to get in the door from the rear parking lot. Our key wouldn't work. We asked for adjoining rooms and were told they don't have any. That was a lie as one of the rooms we did get had a door to an adjoining room. Both rooms had two queen beds. One room had a huge stain on the sheets and pillowcase with tears. Both rooms had leftover food and drink in the refrigerators. The door handle in one room was sticky and we had popcorn and a spoon on the floor in the other. Each room only had two towels even though they sleep four. The breakfast in the morning was average but they ran out of regular roast coffee and forks by 8:30 am and never replenished. You can find a better, cleaner place for the same amount of money.

    King-sized bed within the room.

Quite possibly the worst run hotel in Jackson, MS. Not worst hotel overall. WORST RUN in terms of operations and management. Absolute terrible experience staying here. After driving from Columbus, OH and arriving in Jackson at 11:30 PM, I was given one room on the second floor and soon discovered that there was someone in the room that the hotel thought was questionable to be staying there in the first place. The hotel security guard told me that I had to go back to the front desk (with luggage in tow) to get another room. Mind you, I was tired and wanted to just take a shower and pass out. More on that later. After going back down to the front desk, I was given room #2. Back up to the second floor again, yet this time room #2 (a non-smoking room) reeked of cigarette smoke, as well as the bed linens being all over the floor. The TV was on in the dark, and I was not certain if someone was in the bathroom, considering that the bathroom light was on. Oooooooookay then! Back down to the front desk I go, and indicate this to the incredulous front desk clerk that assured me that the room should be clean. She showed me a list of rooms that room #1 and #2 were "clean and available." This was absolutely not the case. With that, the front desk clerk gives me the keys to room #3 on the third floor. Room #3 seemed to look pretty decent, albeit the water stains within the carpeting close to the front door. There is a small kitchenette, as well as small seating chair within the room that housed a comfortable king-sized bed. I find out later that the WiFI signal is absolutely terrible, with one to two bars at max. After passing out, I hear some extremely loud knocks on my door at 12:34 AM. I'm thinking that someone has the wrong room, so I ignore it. A minute later, the knocks on the door came again, of which I get up to answer the door in nothing but my boxers. The security guard that I met at room #1 tries to get into the door (of which I had it dead-bolted), and indicates "Oh, we are just checking rooms." In my half-asleep stupor, my first thoughts are "WTF, you are checking rooms at 12:30 in the morning when you saw me check-in with a credit card. ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME???" I was polite to the security guard, yet I was still astonished at what had just happened within the hour that I arrived. I didn't get back to sleep until after 1:30 AM. All that I wanted on this particularly night was just to find a hotel to sleep in, no frills. That is it. I barely got that as it was. I was so pissed about what had occurred that I checked out around 7:45. I had an 8 AM appointment, and didn't intend on returning. Breakfast was brief, yet not bad with sausage, biscuits, bagels, waffles, and fruit. Upon checking out, the morning clerk seemed to be moving incredibly slow just to check me out of the room and hand me a receipt. Seemed like it took around 7-8 minutes, which is an eternity considering how awful I felt with what I just encountered earlier in the morning. I emailed the general manager (Tracey Waiter) on what had happened later in the morning, yet as I expected, I was nothing more than just another paying customer that was to be ignored and pushed to the side with contempt. No surprises here with her non-response, but this is just how this hotel does business with its ineptitude & contempt. As far as the front desk clerk that I encountered at check-in, she was nice and professional, yet put in a very bad spot with the information that she was given on her rooms report. I can't really blame her, yet I do blame the overall efficiency of this Baymont hotel, which is next to putrid. There are other hotel options on this side of Jackson, and I feel that I wouldv'e received more respect at a Motel 6 or Econo Lodge. If this Baymont location was the only available option in Jackson, I would prefer to sleep either in my car or pitch a tent under the highway than stay here again. The incompetence at this location is beyond description, and it starts at the top with this property. GM Tracey Waiter, thank you for absolutely nothing.

A huge bloody stain. The pict does not do justice

"Can I get my money back? We had the worst experience here, I like to start w the filthy bed that included a huge bloody stain and pubic hair. Dust all over and mold in the bathroom wall. After asking to be moved nothing much changed when it came to cleanness just not a mattress full of stains and blood... No apology no credit to our account . We have pictures if you like them. Ps I would give it a minus 5 stars but no available.

Stained dirty towel that was folded on towel rack

I wouldn't stay here again' Bring hand sanitizer if you do and Lysol and Clorox wipes!. After driving 6 hours I was tired and it was late when I checked in. I really wish I would've read the reviews before selecting this property but I went off the website and the pictures and was looking for a moderate priced hotel. I thought it was closer to Ridgeland it turns out it's actually closer to Jackson. Very outdated, room was not clean. pictures attached and once daylight broke I looked out my window to take pictures of the pool which looked like green Jell-O! I always pull back the sheets of a bed before I get in and I had two queen beds in my room the first bed I pull back the sheets and discovered a wadded up tissue under the covers so I looked at the other bed which seemed clean and decided to sleep in that. The pillow cases had stains on two of them. In the morning when I took my shower both towels were folded neatly on the towel rack in the bathroom when I took them down and open them up I clearly saw one had stains on it I couldn't identify what it was but I threw it on the floor right away it looked dirty! when I got in the shower I closd the curtain and realized there was a dirty used washcloth from the previous guest hanging on the inside bar of the shower. The desk area was sticky too. there was a used coffee filter still in the coffee maker from the previous guest, bright pink nail polish spilled on the bathroom floor and the counters weren't cleaned. I would have stayed the day until check out to get some work done but I got out of there as fast as I could.

Checking in was easy, but the attendant was rude. We were given room keys to the third floor and ended up all the way back down stairs because the door would not open, even with the green flashing light from the key. It was obvious that the attendant was not pleased with helping us after we returned. As she rolled her eyes, she hands us a new key and does not even inform us of the room number change. We got to the fourth floor where our second room was and after getting off the elevator the hall reeked of something dead. The room was not cleaned well, I have photos of trash left in the floor around the bed. The sheets weren't even fully put on the bed. We requested a king room, so we got a king sized bed, but only two small pillows to try and sleep with. There were also sheets of plastic over the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. The tv remote didn't have a back, but that didn't matter because the tv didn't even work. When checking out, there was no one at the desk, but a radio or phone playing loudly with rap music.

To be fair, Jackson, MS wasn't my destination, it's simply a great midpoint for me to rest when I'm road trippin' between Dallas and Atlanta. The Good: The hotel is relatively new and It's conveniently located near the University of Mississippi Medical Center and VA hospital. A few restaurants are within walking distance, which is a plus. It's also pet-friendly, which is fabulous since my fur babies love a good road trip. Also, the staff is really nice (shoutout to Francine!) The not-so-Good: There's an appearance of clean in the rooms, but not really. On my last stay, I was greeted by couch stains, rusty shower, and some leftover "mystery gunk" in the kitchen sink. It's the second time the TV didn't work, and the fourth time my digital key failed. The entire fridge moved around the kitchen whenever I opened it, LOL. Also, the lobby can get quite loud, since it occasionally turns into a hangout spot for large groups. Know before you go that the surrounding area can feel a bit mixed and while I've never felt unsafe, staying aware is a must. Pet owners, take note: The designated dog areas can get very messy since not everyone picks up after their pets and the hotel doesn't seem to maintain these areas well. If want your pup's paws clean, you'll need to find another spot for walks. Bottom line: When the price is right, this a decent option for an overnight stay. Just know there are some "quirks", and plan accordingly. Happy Stays!

Wish we could have seen them in bloom. 5. Can order nicely prepared meals to room or eat in library lounge - breakfast or dinner. Def an old southern feel to the place. Cons: 1. Parking was tight and hard to to manuever but they did have a cart available for rooms that are further away - partially broken. 2. In downtown area, kind of dingy and run down - but somewhat charming w many old craftsman homes around. 3. Could have used some hanging baskets and annuals for more color and charm - would help brighten the mood of the run down area of town - 4. And wish theyd answer the phones. We left messages almost everytime we called (they were good about calling back). This leaves one feeling disconnected from a warm hospitable experience.

We were told the service staff walked out and they didn't have rooms available. We did book with a third party vendor, which was very accommodating and found us a place to stay. It was not my choice but it did the job. There was no backup plan at the Hilton. Since there was no staff available, the rooms that were occupied had to write their name on a list to get fresh towels, toiletries and etc.... There was a black American young lady with red hair that was remained calm, posed, attentive and professional as the crowd grew with disappointment. She was very helpful. She answered the phone while the others ignored them. Thats how we were able to get moved. Crazy part, it was her second day and she ead still in training. What an experience for her. Hopefully, they retain her and she don't walk out like the rest of the staff. Did I mention that there were a bus load of high school students that they had to find rooms for. So sad. They should have notified guest in advance that this occurred so guest could have made adjustments before arriving to the hotel. The outside and inside were clean and look decent. The staff I will say are great and try to help with what they can. The first room I checked into was so hot and filthy, I had to request a room change. Not sure why I was given a handy accessible room with a broken faucet, dirty floors and dirty walls. I know it's been hot lately (78F) but the AC units don't seem to keep up in this building at all. The temps in the rooms barely budge lower and sometimes even creep up! Also power seems to be unreliable as it goes out at least once a day! Building looks a little neglected with lots of hallway lightbulbs not working, and just small issues like paint and cracks on doors. At first glance everything will look fine until you start looking more closely. Breakfast is just your usual complimentary fare of eggs and bacon, bagels, yogurt, juice and coffee. You can make yourself some mini waffles with syrup if that's your preference. I did enjoy the coffee very much. Couldn't access the pool as the room cards don't seem to unlock the gate and staff don't really know why. Wifi is also very spotty at this location as I regularly get disconnected for 30-60 minutes at a time. No water is provided so you'll have to get your own. Showers are nice and large with nice smelling soaps. Unfortunately, no moisturizing lotions but Jackson is fairly humid so you might not need. Beds are large and comfortable with those terrible hotel pillows. It's kind of your no frills residential hotels for a decent price.
