Hi, I recently stayed at this property and was quite impressed with the aesthetics and service provided. Not until the morning of my checkout was I very disappointed. I woke to shower and there was a roach in the shower and in the sink spout. By the time I was able to get my phone the sink spout roach had went back into the faucet. However, I was able to snap a photo of the shower roach. I didn't not brush my teeth nor shower as a result. I notified the concierge and she offered me points for my trouble. Stayed 1 night April 12, 2025. We were in a large group traveling together. We ate at the Hotel. The menu we were given said wine by the glass was $14.00. We got one bill for one glass of wine for $31.90, and it was for some premium class of wine we did not order. Another bill came for three glasses of wine for $101. The bar manager blew us off saying it was a computer generated bill. We complained, but got only $20.00 removed from the higher bill. WHAT A RIP OFF. Stealing is NEVER ACCEPTABLE! Subject line: Theft, Negligence, and Zero Accountability If you work hard for your money and value your belongings, do yourself a favor and stay far away from The Westin Jackson. What should have been a routine and comfortable stay from February 27 through March 1, 2026, turned into a nightmare that has left us feeling violated, dismissed, and utterly disgusted with this property and its management. On February 28, 2026, $198 in cash was stolen from our room--Room 1014 on the Executive floor--while we were away from the property. The theft occurred sometime between 11:40 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. When we reported the incident, we were informed the next day that our room had been accessed numerous times throughout the day using a guest key. Let that sink in. The only two approved guest keys were in our possession the entire time, and we did not return to the hotel until after 7:30 p.m. So, who was entering our room with a guest key that we never authorized? The answer is painfully obvious. We believe this was an inside job, coordinated between a front desk staff member and the housekeeper who serviced our room that day. She took our trash, changed the towels, and apparently helped herself to our cash. What makes this even more infuriating is that we had every intention of tipping her. Instead, she decided to steal from us. The theft alone would be enough to warrant this review, but the complete lack of accountability from hotel leadership has been equally appalling. We have been trying to speak with the General Manager, Sean Cochran, and the Director of Housekeeping, Autumn Chinn, since the day of the incident, and neither one of them has had the decency to return our calls over the last few days. For clarity, Autumn called me twice on Sunday, March 1, 2026 (the day after the incident occurred) where we discussed our room being accessed with an unapproved guest key during our absence from the property, but she has since chosen to not return calls over the last three days--even after we left countless messages. There has not been a single attempt at resolution by either Sean or Autumn. The silence from management tells you everything you need to know about how this hotel treats its guests when something goes wrong--they simply do not care. When a guest reports a theft committed by your own employees and your response is to ignore them, you have no business being in hospitality. We have escalated this matter to Marriott's Corporate office, and we have an open case now. We will also be filing a formal police report. Someone on this hotel's staff is a thief, and leadership is either complicit or too indifferent to do anything about it. Either way, it is unacceptable. We are frequent visitors to Jackson and have stayed at this property many times in the past. That ends now. We will never set foot in The Westin Jackson again, and we strongly advise anyone reading this to think twice before booking a room here. Lock up your valuables--or better yet, book somewhere else entirely. This hotel has lost our trust, our loyalty, and any shred of respect we once had for the Westin brand in this city. read more

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! I stayed here while on task force and I must say, I have absolutely no complaints about this place! Very clean and presentable. The aesthetic of the lobby makes for a beautiful entrance! The artwork that sits within the halls, the lobby, and the restaurant/bar is incredible! This hotel sits between multiple courthouses and a police precinct, making me feel very safe outside and around the hotel. The staff were amazing! I first met Andrea upon check-in, she greeted me with a warm welcome and got me situated in every aspect, along with Sorethina whom too was kind and informative as well. The entire front desk team took very well care of me. Aevisha, Danyel, and Michael greeted me every morning with a "good morning", a smile, and great energy. Ms. Dean and Olivia were both so very kind and joyful overnight. Housekeeping was to perfection. They came every single day and accommodated for all of my needs as requested. The valet team was awesome. Jalyn and Micah are great at their services, as was the rest of the valet team. Very respectful and composed. Thank you Westin Jackson for the experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the downtown area. read more

Everything was going well until someone on their staff stole from roommate and I while we were there for a conference recently. I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here. I was in Jackson MS from 2/7-2/9 staying at the Westin. Someone(s) on the staff either housekeeping or the bar attendant (who I suspect is the culprit) went into my luggage to take property on 2/8/2025 when we were out of the room at a conference. I really want my stuff especially my perfumes as they were Christmas gifts from special people. I feel I shouldn't have to replace them. The Lattafa Yara 3.4 oz in Amber Vanilla and Sol De Janeiro 62 (small bottle) were gifts. I am beyond pissed that somebody(ies) violated me by going through my things and stealing from me. They went into my makeup bag to take lashes and mascara that had already been used as well as take my Mehron Barrier Spray. I would rather they had left me a note asking me for something than stealing from me. I would've ordered an item or two to have delivered to them. That is the kind of person I am. That was a brand new apple charger cord and block that was taken. Who takes a FairLife protein drink and opens the other one to leave in the drink cooler? What if something else was in the bottle other than its original contents (both bottles were unopened when I brought them as I needed them for health reasons), they would've gotten sick. I am not satisfied with the resolution provided as my items won't be replaced. The credit that was given went to my roommate as she paid for the room. The 10,000 point given to each of us wasn't sufficient as it won't even cover 1 night's charge. Overall, I'd give this place a 1. The drawbacks for me were - when I arrived, I was getting out of the car and the bellmen didn't move to help with my luggage. We found a pair of underwear (that did not belong to us) behind a chair in our room. Red stain on our duvet. Brown stain on our washcloth in the bathroom. Watch your bank account closely after checking out. Hotel adds bogus charges to your credit card DAYS after you've left. I did not touch or eat anything from the refreshment center/mini bar. However I was charged almost $10 the next day for "some thing from refreshment center." They didn't know what. They did remove it after a few days. Then a full seven days after I checked out, an almost $4 dollar charge popped up. I called and they said it was for Altoids. I told them I didn't know what they were talking about. I didn't even see any Altoids. They said they would remove it. They haven't yet. Several in our group were charged for things after they left that they did not use. The staff is wonderful. They are always willing to answer questions and go above and beyond. The hotel has a homey feel. They have their Christmas decorations up inside and they are gorgeous. You cannot beat the food in the restaurant. I have never had anything that was not delicious. My room had a rain head shower head with a detachable wand and a refrigerator. The bed was delightful. The only complaint I have is that the pillows were all too soft. I put my head on two I had stacked and my head was immediately on the mattress. I wish they had different thickness levels. I walked into the room and squealed because you can buy snack items and an Elvis rubber duck with the hotel name and city on it! The gym is on point too. Awesome Life Fitness treadmill allows you to choose a trail (I chose locations in Ireland) and it shows other people running on the trail with you from around the world and where you are in relation to them. The area around the hotel is a bit rough so I have not ever ventured out but as I am typically not here long and only for work that is not a huge deal for me. read more

New hotel, clean, convenient and nice staff. Stayed in. a King Corner Suite on the 3rd floor without any view but very quiet as well as a large bedroom and bathroom. I grabbed a Cocktail in Estelle's before heading up to the room and it was a good Old Fashioned which was a little pricey but good. Large TV with a game in made for a pleasant 15 minutes. They also have a Concierage Room on floor 10 open 24 hrs. Nice touch. Had some waters, sodas and chips available with some apples. Nice place to stay! read more

Great stay! I attended an event at Thalia Mara Hall and this was the perfect location! Only a short walk across the street. Hotel was nice and clean. The restaurant closes at the 10 so we had to go find something to eat. Parking is right across the street so save money on valet parking, I'll definitely return the next time I visit Jackson. read more

I was only at this hotel for 1 night while attending a wedding. But it was a really good night. While the basics were good to great, comfy bed, good water pressure, fast elevators, and everything crisp and clean. What made the big difference was the staff, from the desk clerks, to the maintenance guy who gave me directions, to the wait staff, everyone was friendly, courteous and professional. 5 stars f'sure. I didn't realize that the hotel was valet only...which I'm a weirdo about. But the front desk person gave me some advice on street parking so no problem. I am here on work. This place is beautiful and in a great spot. The room was nice and big. The pool was also great. One issue and a big issue for me. There was stuff floating in the water reservoir inside the coffee pot. Totally gross. There was a floaty just over a 1/4 inch. I make a big deal about this because I enjoy my Coffee. If my room has a coffee pot, I expect to have access to fresh coffee. This is a high end hotel, I expect everything to be great. read more

I don't know much about Jackson, MS, but I do know I would recommend this location. During this COVID-19 era, I hesitated to even book a stay. However, after reading through what kind of precaution this location has taken online, I felt comfortable enough spend a night there. Things to know: - Their complimentary parking lot resides across their main entrance on the other side of a fence. If I traveled with kids or anyone elderly, I would find it inconvenient since the path included shards of glass everywhere throughout my three-day stay. - At least for our room, it seemed upgraded and clean compared to others I've visited. - To limit any interactions, they did not provide any room service or valet. They provided hand sanitizer at check-in, and all staff members wore masks. They also placed signs in the lobby asking patrons to wear them, too. - Their pool and gym remained open. I ran on one of their treadmills early in the morning, and it seemed messy. (I'm sure due to layoffs.) All-in-all, considering the extreme circumstances, I would recommend staying at this Westin if you happen to find yourself in Jackson. read more

This is a new and pretty great hotel. Staff interactions were always pleasant and extremely professional. The Executive Lounge on 10 is great, though always pretty empty on the two stays I've made so far. Beds are a bit firmer than most Westins but still extremely comfortable and we slept very well. Upgrade to a suite if you can, they're quite spacious and comfortable including two rooms and a mini bar with fairly reasonable prices (comparatively). And the hotel is dog friendly which is a big positive for me when traveling for the holidays - no extra fee for dogs up to 50 lbs and they made an exception for mine who is a bit over 50. One negative was Room Service from Estelle Wine Bar which was marginal at best (honestly, how can you serve burgers & sandwiches with buns that stale and crumbly?) but at least the wine options are good. On a second visit I carried out from the restaurant which was a bigger menu, cheaper, and a bit better but still nothing great. And the location isn't ideal for many - unless you're visiting one of the neighboring courthouse/jails, the Jackson P.D., a museum on one side, or the Convention Center a couple blocks away. Also, parking is either valet for $20/night or street meter parking around the hotel which is free at night. Worked fine for me but may not always be ideal. Not perfect, but pretty darn good for Jackson. Well done new hotel which will hopefully improve a bit over time. read more

One star for getting the basics right, that is the bed and decor in the room and hotel. Everything else, with exception of the valet service (which was exceptional), was a disappointment. The food from the hotel restaurant made me ill. I spent the night throwing up. Even if you prepay your room, they still put a night's hold on your Cc plus $100. Why? "Its our policy. " For some reason the hotel bar closes at 1030. No bars anywhere close to hotel. Ok so I will break into the mini bar. A 12 year old Catholic school girl couldn't catch a buzz off what was in there-but her allowance would be gone. $9 for a 1oz liquor???? I am in Jackson on business and wanted to be very choosy about the hotel I stayed in during Covid. Lately every Marriott at which I have stayed has been very dirty. 2 out of 3 during my last trip to Alexandria had not had the sheets changed. The Westin definitely lives up to its name. The lobby is huge and has sanitizing stations available to the guests. The front desk supplies complimentary water since there is no sundry shop, and Estelle's, their restaurant, is serving a very limited menu. I reserved a king corner room. I am very pleased. The room is huge and has a lot of windows. I was so relieved to see how clean it was. And they had changed the sheets to boot! The bathroom is very modern and has a rainforest shower head. Love it. The only downside is, they are located downtown where it is very congested and hard to get around due to one way streets. Also, to get a Diet Coke or snack, you have to get your car from the valet and then drive through a seedy part of town just to find a seedy convenience store or gas station. The restaurant is atrocious. You would think they would do a better job since the menu is so limited. I ordered a blackened chicken Caesar salad to go. They do not have room service, so I had to wait 30 minutes. When I bit into the chicken, it was so chewy and rough that I had to look at it again to see what it was! The lettuce was wilted and not fresh. The blackened seasoning was terrible. It tasted like they had doused it with black pepper and nothing else. In short, the salad was inedible. The restaurant would not answer their phone. I left several messages as the restaurant message instructed. None were returned. The front desk was kind enough to take our order in to the restaurant, saying that the restaurant sometimes got busy. When I wen to pick up our order, the place was almost empty. So that was an irritation. The bathtub would not unstop. I had to shower with the tub filling up. Another irritation. For the price of the rooms, I expect everything to be top top, but it was not. We had an amazing stay at the Westin Jackson. This hotel has been here for about 2 years and it still seems really new. The lobby is beautiful and our room was fantastic. Everything was so clean, modern, fresh, and comfortable. The heavenly bed was amazing and I think more comfortable here than at other Westins where I have stayed. I treated myself to a spa day, which was lovely. I went on Sunday which is their mimosa day. Guests receive 2 complimentary mimosas with their spa treatment. I got a pedicure by Elizabeth and she did a great job. I high recommend staying at this hotel as it was beautiful and comfortable. read more

Very upscale (and new) hotel in downtown Jackson! I've been eagerly anticipating the opening of this hotel and I wasn't disappointed, it's been a great stay! Until now, all the good things have been happening to the North of downtown, but with a property like this, I hope to see this area turn the corner and start to become the kind of revitalized city-center that Jackson deserves. It's a Westin, so you already know about how great the beds are and all about the "heavenly bathrooms", but they also have a wonderful restaurant and bar! The only negative is that architect must have come from Arizona or Death Valley because they designed the entrance with an UNCOVERED ROOF! (Just some decorative timbers). Um, HELLO, this is Mississippi, it RAINS HERE! You pull up to valet or drop-of and there is absolutely no shelter. Oh well, stupid mistake but maybe SPG can enclose the area by putting glass over the timbers and charge the architect for the mistake. No internet traveling for work...have to call a number it takes 20-30 minutes...after a long day it's a pain feel like I am back in the 80s

We did not want to valet due to Covid. Even though did not valet the car we used their lot. Their parking lot is not connected to the hotel but across the street with another lot in between. we were informed we would still be charged for valet to use their lot. I recognized that it was my choice not to allow them to park my car due to Covid so I let this go. After driving all day and even further to go the next, I needed to rest. The woman who checked me in was polite. Our first room, 627, was disgusting. There was a smell of cigarette smoke and weed in the hallway. When we got to our room, it was dirty. Clearly a spot clean. The beds were dirty, the floor had giant mystery stains. The furniture looks very beat up and damaged. There was hair from the last guests on the pillows. We cleaned the room ourselves with our cleaning supplies because we were exhausted. Stripped the beds and resolved to just go to bed. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. We went downstairs to ask if there was a microwave we could use. The front desk said she would find out and call us. We never got a call. I went to use the restroom and there was a roach in the bathroom and in the foyer of the room. I was livid. I just spent time doing a heavy clean of an obviously dirty bed so I could go to sleep. I immediately went downstairs and after a discussion they said they would switch my rooms. I really wanted to leave as I'm terrified of roaches but it was very late, dark and raining in an unfamiliar area so I conceded. I asked if they would check the next room for cleanliness before they assigned me the room. She said they would make sure it was clean. They moved to room 916. It was the same level of dirty as 627 with the addition of what I can only guess was blood on the sheets. We again, sanitized the room, stripped the beds because we were trapped by the dark/rain. They called me, put me on hold for 10 minutes than a manager came on the line. The manager Brian seemed fake polite and mostly annoyed to take my call. He asked what did he want me to do about it as if I could solve the hotels problems. He asked where did I see them and said the roaches were likely brought in by other guest but they didn't see them. Then asked if he could inspect the second room to see if it was as i described. I told him because of Covid i was not interested in him coming in my room. I told him I took a picture of the roach if they need to see it. At that point he seemed very annoyed and asked well do you want a third room? I said I'm tired, i plan to take a nap and leave. That they "checked" this room before they gave it to me so I'm guessing they're all about the same. He said no I think they're better rooms. I asked why I didn't receive a better room on the second go if that was the case after I moved out the first one? He did not have an answer. I told him I was far too exhausted to hop from room to room and that I would be leaving in a few hours. He couldn't tell me why the third room would be better and why i hadn't received it the first or second time to give me the confidence to pack up again. I hope I can get a couple hours If sleep in before we leave. We have all the lights on in hopes we have a deterrence for roaches to climb in our bags and hit the road with us. This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Jackson. It's a beautiful property and the staff is extremely friendly. However, the beds aren't so heavenly. In my king room the bed is much firmer than it should be. This is a fairly new property and they didn't install refrigerators in each room. That's a standard in most hotels now. However, here you must request a fridge and they bring one to your room. MS is behind the times as usual. The spa is amazing. Had a pedicure and Stephanie is the real deal. I will definitely visit her again when I'm in town. The downside to this property is the traffic on the front drive. At 10pm there were at least 20 people loitering on the drive and in front of the hotel. At 4am when I departed for the airport the next morning there were about 10ppl still loitering. Completely unacceptable. When I asked the front desk agent and valet about this they acted clueless. Again unacceptable. 3 stars due to the unnecessary presence of loiterers. read more

My first visit to Jackson, Mississippi and we stayed at "the best hotel in town." I was disappointed in reception trying to be stuck up. Room service gave tiny bottles of drinks like water, half-filled glasses and toast bitten off on the side and someone insisting you didn't order what you actually wrote down on the order request. Then they call me from front desk that I have a visitor who stayed in one of the rooms I had booked the night before in the same hotel and that they couldn't let her up and I had to go down to the lobby to let her in. Nit-picking would be no internet access on tv, no pay-per-view and the bathroom door not being able to be shut. That's why I do not like the Westin and coming to Jackson, Mississippi confirms it. There are better hotels with the SPG and even better with other lines. read more

This is our second stay at this Westin in the past year. Thank God they have this hotel in Jackson, MS. We drove from TX to FL via I-10 and there are not a lot of good options enroute. We went out of our way to stay at this Westin on the return drive. We were on the 9th floor this time and had two rooms. Both were very clean. The AC was not working properly in our room when we arrived, but they immediately sent someone up to correct the issue. No problems ! The people who work there are wonderful too....big shout out to Aveisha, Gabby and Preston for just being nice when we left on Sunday morning. There were several notable things about my recent stay at the Westin Jackson: 1) The hotel seems newly renovated and was nicely designed. 2) Rooms and public areas were spotless and well maintained. 3) There were guitars in the lobby to rent and use in a sound studio, which is rather unique and a nice local touch. 4) There was also an option for a local amenity for members with status (local beers and a cheese tray). 5) The club lounge was rather disappointing--the space was nice, with a top floor view, but the staff member wasn't that on top of things and the selection was equivalent to an interstate roadside hotel and not a Westin--almost no healthy options, and the most standard eggs, milk, etc. 6) The staff (from the front desk and valet) were all extremely friendly and polite. 7) Rooms were very large with plenty of space and attractive design choices. I would definitely recommend the Westin Jackson to anyone staying in the area. read more
