    Us w the manager/owner Perget.

I have never received more personable service than what I received in the four days that I stayed at this hotel. Every request was met and the manager/owner went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable to providing extra coffee, a list of suggested restaurants in the area, along with things to do, always made sure we had extra towels, and we were greeted with a smile every time we entered the lobby. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was enjoyable and memorable.

Hotels like this Baymont make our life on the road so much more comfortable and easier. As a traveling band we value being able to get a good nights sleep very highly. This Baymont is in a great location of Lawrence and only a few minutes drive to downtown where we played that night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. We really liked that they had a washer and dryer (you don't need quarters either a card will work) so we could freshen up on the road. The breakfast was plentiful and had a good variety. We would absolutely recommended this hotel to anyone staying in Lawrence. Thank you to Ignite Hospitality Services for hooking us up with this great spot!

At nearly $80 per night for a motel in the seediest part of Lawrence, Kansas, I was not overly impressed. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful, friendly and professional - a good start. However, the room was very basic, relatively clean and the wi-fi and cable worked just fine, but because we were on the ground floor, the noise from the people upstairs was significant. Breakfast was a bit better than your ordinary "continental" variety, but not by much. They had biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs, but the biscuits were as hard as rocks and the eggs were left extremely dry by the Sterno-fueled warming pan. We were told that they "normally" offer bacon and sausage as well, but because they had been throwing away so much as of late, they decided to stop doing so during the week. I would expect to pay no more than $60 to $70 max for a room of this quality in the Midwest, so I cannot in good conscience give them more than an "average" rating. Thank you Baymont Inn Lawrence for taking great care of our client, Whisky Gentry Band when they were there earlier this month. They had a wonderful stay and were able to get a great nights rest. The service was top notch as well. #BaymontinnLawrence #Lifeontheroad #Socialmediainfluenter

    First eggs of the morning

2 stars unfortunately. I would like to say the bed was comfortable but here is a pic of the "eggs" presented first thing in morning. We paid a lot of money for this weekend and we're disappointed to say the least. Prob wouldn't rebook unless we had to.

Just got to my room. It's cold and rainy outside. I'm grateful to be here!

Nice rooms, kind and cheerful hosts, dinner was delicious! Will definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

I had a very nice stay at this Baymont Inn. The staff were exceptionally nice and welcoming. The hotel is easy to locate off of the highway which was a plus after a long day's drive and is also close to some dining options. Getting in late, I didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the pool and hot tub area but I could see that it looked inviting. I had a King room which was very spacious and comfortable. The large bed left me with a great night's sleep. There was plenty of slace in the room for me to spread out, relax, and even get a little work done in the morning before check out. Overall, this was a welcoming and well maintained hotel with an extra friendly staff.

Good value for the money. We had a king suite, which was interesting because only a curtain separated the bedroom area from the toilet! Odd.

This trip so far has been the extreme opposite. We came to the hotel at 12:30 hoping to be able to check in a little early. We stood at the front desk for almost five minutes before a woman came out and said, "do you need something"? She asked our name and said, "we have nothing available right now". We had hoped to change clothes and freshen up before a meeting with University of Kansas officials and a subsequent dinner with them. There is no school going on at KU as commencement was the previous week. There were only six cars in the hotel garage. We have never been treated so rudely by a hotel's front desk personnel. I also asked when the room might be available and was told 4:00. She made no effort to look anything up or accommodate us in any way. Very disappointing.

The room I stayed in had plaster and paint peeling off of the wall in the bathroom. It also just felt very sparse--no carpet, no rug. The bed was only half made. Other reviewers have mentioned odd noises at night, which I also experienced. The service at the restaurant is absolutely terrible. I waited about 50 minutes after ordering breakfast. My order included a cup of coffee. After about 25 minutes, the lone server came over and explained that she had many things to do before she'd get to the coffee order and could I just get some coffee from the lobby instead? What?? You're serving breakfast and you can't just pour me a cup of coffee?? I would never, ever go back to this hotel. It's truly terrible.

Not so here. In fact, it was truly awful.  We booked a week here. Not a brief visit. We arrived late on a Friday night and had conveyed we'd be late due to a long drive. When I went to check in about 9:30pm a male, Asian front desk clerk said 'oh good. You're the last one I'm waiting for.'  OK ... we got our keys and went up to our Room 202. Immediately noticed a strong, stale, moldy mildew smell. The bathroom had wallpaper peeling off and a lot of mold in the shower crevices. The next morning, we went down to the grab and go breakfast. If you enjoy high sugar,  prepackaged gas station food...this one's for you.  I asked if there were any hard boiled eggs.  No. Coffee had no nondairy creamer and tasted like dirty water. We told the front desk  girl about the smell in our room and also requested additional towels.   When we used the keurig in our room, it was no better than the lobby coffee.  Headed to  IHOP disappointed. Upon returning that evening,  the smell in the room was no better. We ran the air conditioner  24/7. No extra towels....but there were dirty, wet ones in the wardrobe from the previous person. Gross. By the third morning, my husband and I were feeling terrible. Headaches,  congestion, generally  awful. That morning, we told the front desk they needed to resolve the smell and, by the way, still no extra towels and trash is overflowing.  That evening, we could tell something had been sprayed to cover the odor but the problem was not solved. My husband  went down to the front desk to  insist on a new room while my daughter and I packed up our stuff...including  the towels and wash cloths we finally got the  previous evening. Still trash and wet towels in the room. We moved to Room 224. Thankfully,  this room had no smell and was in good condition.  It is apparent that housekeeping and  maintenance  staff desperately need training. Our second room was never turned either. We saw the manager on 3 separate occasions,  including checkout,  and were never asked how our stay was. We noticed he was in his office and wondered how it's possible to manage a hotel from behind a desk? Hopefully,  the corporate owner and/or Holiday  Inn will realize this facility  requires desperate help so other customers will not be subjected to these issues in the future.

First off the location is good and easy access from the interstate. The people were friendly and accommodating to our needs. Now the cons.... (One star knocked for each issue... It drives me crazy when you have to pay for breakfast, especially at a hotel like this, convention space and all. I am also a Hilton honors silver member. Even though it is not "gold" or whatever breakfast should still be included. It was $20/person and this WAS NOT CLEAR when I booked through the Hilton app. This Hilton Honors family was just not too happy about the breakfast situation :-(. Secondly, the pool is in the center part of the lobby. When you walk into the hotel there is a pool/chlorine chemicals type smell. Again just not the warm chocolate chip cookie smell we come to expect. This is also horrific for people with any respiratory illness or chronic health condition that trigger migraines. Thirdly, the restaurant does not allow any outside food. However the lobby area has seating with low coffee type tables. As a person is severe food allergies it is hard to eat at established restaurants so we typically bring our food and eat at a table in the lobby. The set up did not make it easy or comfortable to do this. Even if they could remove some of the glass wall to open up the tables and seating for people in the lobby would have been welcoming for guests. It just felt like this doubletree is catering to their business and not the guests that give them the business. Lastly the carpet.... Yug and the elevator steamy!! Please get some air flow in your elevator. The floor was so wet due to the pool being in the lobby.... BOTH ELEVATORS..... and the floor in our room felt like it seriously needed a good shampoo and time to dry. All in all, this is a great place if you are going for a pool party in the lobby but if you're here for any other reason I would choose somewhere else.

He ( I assume mgr since he was training a new employee) said he would send a maintenance man, but, it was 10Pm. We were in our night gowns. So I said no not now, the time to fix it was when and if the housekeeper had reported it, which in my opinion would have been when she cleaned it. He handed the phone off to a trainee and left. I told the trainee to let him know I would meet him in the morning to discuss the matter. Of course, he wasn't there. This only happened 2 days ago so I'm still a bit miffed.
