**DO NOT, under any circumstances, book this hotel!!!** Oh lord, where do I begin? I would leave this place 0 stars if I could. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, you've got 15 of them and that isn't even the start. This hotel needs to be condemned and shut down for business entirely. 2 rooms were booked and both were disgusting. Both contained dirty bathrooms, moldy walls (black mold at that), exposed wires, leftover food, holes in the wall, ceiling cracks with visible water damage and bubbles, and even bed bugs. And don't worry, this is just the beginning. The AC unit didn't work, barely pushed out any air (on top of it not even being cold air even on the lowest setting). The door failed to close and lock properly. Everything about this experience was a disgrace. Cleaning staff was rude and hotel management refused to take accountability for any of this. We attempted to contact management who refused to refund us since we "booked through a 3rd party". We contacted our booking agency who attempted to once again negotiate our concerns and get a refund only for the period to again say they refuse. The only reasoning the property provided was because we brought a dog. Our dog did not cause this damage or mess. Hotel was aware of the dog upon check-in and never said anything about it (only cleaning staff complained). Having an animal does not negate the unsafe conditions this hotel is in. We now have to dispose of the belongings we brought with us to avoid bed bug contamination with our other belongings, on top of contacting our doctors for exposure to black mold. I will be contacting my financial institution to dispute the charges while also forwarding this information to the local health district for investigation on this property. read more

We checked in and checked out all within 15 minutes. Out of the hundreds of hotels I have stayed at during my travels this is the first hotel I walked out of and refused to stay. I am a proud Wyndham owner and Wyndham should be totally embarrassed to have this place place under its umbrella. First impression matter. There was no "lobby" however there 3 single bistro dining tables that were covered in crumbs. I can understand if this after breakfast but, our check in was after 5pm. Our room was located near the rear of hotel and I must say the experience continued to go down hill. We were provided a key card for the room but other elements on the lock were missing. Combined with the questionable people parked in the back our safety became a real concern. Upon entering the room I have no words to describe the horrendous condition of a room that the front desk had no hesitation of placing us in. There was absolutely no welcoming decor. The furniture looked as though it was gathered from the street, to include a chair with questionable stains, lamps with rust covering 25% of its base, face cloths on the vanity that looked unwashed, and a desk that was beaten pretty bad. The bed was made but my concern was what was waiting for us under the sheets. Please read between the following line: this place was better suited to charge hourly rates. When returning the key I advised the desk cleark of the condition of the room and her response was "I'm so sorry, I will let maintenance know" Shame on you Baymont, I trust management would never recommend this place to their personal family and friends. read more

absolutely horrible. stayed 5 nites and got room service 1 time. had to clean toilet and change linens myself. Main reason I stated was price and exercise room. Well, exercise room was a lie. Rits Patel, the GM was completely rude. I asked about a cup of coffee and a broom to sweep my room and he said " do you need a pair of shoes, socks or a hat too". I travel a lot and never been treated like this. I called Wyndham and if they can't comp some rooms I'll never stay at another one of their properties. Where do I even begin.. Booked a one night stay at Baymont by Wyndham Mobile from my travel credit for 1/13... arrived at the hotel after a 7 hour drive to find the front door locked. Receptionist was nice and even gave me the room key to check it out first.. this is where things took a change for the worst. First room she gave me the key to, had the TV ripped out of the wall mount and none of the light fixtures worked Second room, was never cleaned from whoever last checked out. Still had dirty bedsheets, trash, weed and tv was left on. The third and last room I took a look at, had no light fixtures, no tv, roaches and stained carpets. I told the receptionist I'll try other hotels around first to see if they have a room available, and if so, I'll call back to cancel this original reservation. Luckily, I was able to find one at Marriott. However, I tried calling back to Baymont 8 times and no one bothered to answer. So I drove up to the hotel again and Lo and behold, no one was at the front desk and door was locked. I can't begin to express my discontent and how awful this experience was. I even called my travel agency to see if I can get my travel credit back, and even they couldn't get through the phones with them Absolutely and utterly pathetic If I could give a 0 start rating, I would. read more

The website said free breakfast which was not true, there wasn't even coffee in the lobby for guests. Staff suggested we go the Waffle House down the road for coffee, not even in the rooms. We did not have hot water until next am. No offer to make it right from staff and they were indifferent regarding our concerns. Tub was stained and wall paper was falling off the walls. The rug was dirty and stained. The irony was that the hotels behind this one were the same price but they delivered what was they advertised. read more

WORST PLACE I EVER STAYED AT!!!! I wouldn't be surprise if I caught covid 19 from just stepping into this establishment. I did a last minute booking and made a big mistake of not reading the review. TLDR; All amenities are closed, roach on the ceiling, cigarette burn on bedsheet, mildew and mold on shower curtain, paint and caulking peeling in restroom, you won't get wifi if your room is far from the front desk, towels all had stains, room reeks of cigarette and mildew, desk phone does not work. They won't refund you! If you have time to laugh at my misery here goes... First off, all the amenities were close and no breakfast was included. They should update their ad to take all that down if it isnt available due to coronavirus. False advertisement. I asked about the room if it had a fridge and they lady didnt know. Said some did and some didnt and i inquired if another room may have it but she quickly dismissed me and said they're all booked and If i wanted to cancel i would be charged for the night. Since it was late, I just wanted to a place to sleep and proceed to check in. She gave us our card and told us our room number. I'm used to the hotel giving me the card along with the room number written on the card and wifi information included. However I kind of have a hearing problem and tried to scan the card in different room and was a bit embarassed to ask again. After a few failed attempt I went back in and asked. As soon as I stepped in the room I was in disgust. The smell will hit you in the face. It smelled old, cigarette smoke, and mildew on the carpet. You might get foot fungus if you walk barefoot. After a long road trip I wanted to shower and sleep. However the shower looked so disgusting. I rather sleep dirty than risk getting tetanus. This room literally looks like a place where crackhead come and crash...I went ahead and changed and laid in bed. What do you know? there's a freaking roach on the ceiling! I was scared that it might fall or crawl on me while I sleep. As i pulled the blanket up to cover myself I noticed the bedsheet has stains and cigarette burn hole. As if this night couldnt get worse the three measly pillow did not have any oompf to them at all. Where did they get this pillow from? The dollar store? It was so sad looking. I couldnt sleep...thinking about where that damn roach is. I tried to connect to their wifi so I can do some research on what to do in this town. (you will need to call the front desk with your cell to get the password). It says I'm connected however I have no internet. I tried connecting on my phone and same result. I went to the front office to ask about it and a few minutes later it connected. I looked like a fool in front of them. So i took my laptop back to my room and 5 minutes later my wifi lost connection although it says I'm connected. I gave up at this point and tried to go back to sleep. I just want this nightmare to end. PS. I woke up with a bug bite on my arm. I don't recommend this place to anybody, not even to my worst enemy. I don't know how this place is still in business. It's vile and absolutely horrendous. Even if this place is offering a free room do not take it! IT'S NOT WORTH RISKING YOUR HEALTH! Me and my two friends stayed here a couple of years ago on our way back to Chicago from Florida. This is the worst hotel I've stayed at so far. When we got into our room I went into the bathroom saw 4-5 roaches on the floor alive, the room was dirty and nasty, when I looked under the bed I saw another couple of roaches dead. On top of that we saw what looked like green slime on top of the pool and the outside smelled like urine and trash was everywhere. So we ended up sleeping in the car. Someone needs to tear this place down to the ground. read more

It's hard to believe that Baymont by Wyndham would want their name associated with this property. It's also difficult to think that Alabama would want this place to be my first impression of the state. Somebody up the chain needs to do their job and come out to inspect this property. I suspect all the issues come from the fact that this place is literally falling apart. Doors don't properly close, the ceiling in our bathroom was sagging. This place needs a complete remodel from the foundation up. Once you have a place that's falling apart, what's the point in making sure the pool is clean, that the lights work, that missing drawers are replaced, that the bagels aren't stale, that the carpet with holes worn through is replaced or that the staff uses stain removers so that guests aren't grossed out by stained pillow cases and towels? The lobby was fairly nice and check in went very well. We couldn't get as far as we thought we would due to storms in Florida, so it seemed to be a nice trade off that we got a King room for $57, including the taxes and fees. I was told to call the lobby if I needed anything, but my phone in the room didn't work. I walked in and apparently interrupted the staff being unprofessional and they seemed to forget I was a guest when they made comments about maintenance people who could speak English. The maintenance man was extremely rude when he was in our room. However, I'm not going to go into any further detail on the staff, because I honestly believe if this place was remodeled that would fix all morale issues. When you work at a miserable wreck that is falling apart and receive the same complaints day after day that you can't do anything about, it's easy to become jaded and forget what it *means* to work in the hospitality industry. It's a pretty bleak picture. I was at a Baymont the day before that was amazing, so I was pretty shocked. Our "working" AC was held together by electrical tape and we had to keep our fridge door closed by propping our cooler against it. Some of that you expect with $50 per night... I guess? The main thing that feels gross about this place is the humidity gets in the room (no weather stripping and probably poor insulation) and everything down to the floors feels wet. Again, this place badly needs a remodel. I can't believe corporate let it get this bad. Positives included the nice lobby, they have guest laundry services, ice machines and vending machines worked, coffee becomes available at 5am (huge win in my book), continental breakfast includes pancakes, clean sheets (not counting one pillow case) the room was readily available during bad weather, cheap as hell and we were only staying for the night. If I needed a long term stay in Alabama, I would not be comfortable staying here. However, though this place is super run down, this is actually not the worst hotel I've stayed at and my 1 star reviews are reserved for the truly terrible and crazy, not a ghetto hotel. We are traveling a long trip and stopped here to get some sleep. From the outside this motel looks nice! But it's an older run down one. Our room needed some work. Door lock was falling off. Sticky red residue all over bathroom door. Hole in the bathroom wall and by one of the plug ins. There were only 2 pillows on each bed. And NO blankets. The guy when we checked out said they are "in between the sheets" no sir they were not!!! There is no breakfast here either. The only thing nice was the lady that checked us in! Nope. We were not even there for 10 minutes and I've seen more than enough bugs than I should have. We walked in and paid for a room for about $70 and it wasn't the most pleasant experience. There were roaches and bugs coming from the night stand and bed. There were crumbs of food left over on the floor. There was a horrible stench of marijuana and cigarettes in both rooms they transferred us even when it's supposed to be non-smoking. The good reviews on Google are what we first believed in (not the 2 star reviews on Trip Advisor, but we gave it a chance) but here is my personal review of my experience. Window stains, wall stains, mildew in the bathroom, and a leftover sticky rat trap on the door. There were holes in the wall and ceiling with water dripping from it. The front desk lady didn't seem so surprised and she just told us to contact the manager in the morning since this was about 11:30 pm. She didn't apologize the first time we switched rooms from room 225 to room 134, but then she did when we were about to leave. We left as fast as we could. We contacted the manager, "Ritz", as it says on the card she gave us, and he didn't even seem surprised AT ALL. That place needs a MAJOR improvement and disinfection. He stated that he needed to see a receipt of ANOTHER hotel we stayed at, which was weird. I told him that we were traveling and we didn't even stay in the same STATE, because of our bad experience but sure we'll send it! He said refunds take about 5 business days. USUALLY Wyndham hotels are good hotels for me, but man this one here...That was in Mobile, Alabama and we traveled as far up to Diamondhead, Mississippi to get away (about 1 hour 15 min)! read more

Baymont bears the name Wyndham. When I see that name I think quality. I'm cheap, I admit it. But cheap doesn't need to be raunchy! There is no excuse for even the most basic hotel to rent a room as dirty as this one. There were no pillows on the bed, no security latch on the door, no advertised coffee machine. There is a fridge that is hot. The floor needs not only a good vacuum, but they need to be shampooed! There is no promised alarm clock, or remote for the TV. And and let's not get into what's behind the bed! Are those cockroach parts? There's mold around the bathtub molding and a huge stain in tub. This place is a dive. If I hadn't been driving all day (11 hours) I would cut my loss and find somewhere more suitable. It is posted that there are no refunds. And I'm exhausted, I live on a fixed income. I was disappointed. They no longer serve breakfast, the pool was closed and there are no laundry facilities. Why? you may ask would you give it three stars? Well, it is the employees who made this stay bearable and sometimes even enjoyable. They were a wonderful group of hardworking, pleasant , helpful people who had heart and a sense of humor. Sylvia the manager especially stands out as someone who could-and will- be working at a much nicer establishment if this one does not improve. Never flustered, an answer for any questiuon and - like all of the employees- that constant smile. Because of this booking, my husband's privileges of picking a cheap hotel for the night have been revoked by our family. We had the motel's last two rooms, one for my two daughters and their 2 friends in 149 and the other for my son, husband and myself in 222. On the way up the stairs, I passed a half empty tall boy in a paper sack that should have served as the foreshadowing I was not yet prepared to experience. As I walked past rooms, I noticed missing door handles and open doors with mattresses propped up on their sides in apparent attempts to air it out from the previous "hot boxing" that occurred. As I entered my room the damp smell of mildew slapped me in the face like a wet towel that had been in the bottom of a garbage truck. The sheets were clean and we were tired, so we decided we could slum it. I then went to check on the girls on the other side of the motel. I may have gotten a touch of a contact high passing the hot box again because upon entering the girls' room and seeing their reactions, I couldn't stop laughing. They thought someone had been murdered in the bathtub. I explained it was just rust stains. The front door was dirtier than a 50 year old gas station bathroom. Then they pointed out the missing light and bare wires in the ceiling. I explained that is where the smoke detector goes. Someone probably removed it so they could smoke in the room. Then my 17 year old daughter proceeded to explain to the 12 year olds that people party in run down hotels and this place looks like the perpetual pot party. Thank you, public school education. Exhausted, I went back to my room again to get ready for bed. I went to the bathroom and faced a wall that had been urinated on and had a nice poop smear. I decided that taking a shower in there would make me feel dirtier than I was so I just went to bed and hid under the sheets. Despite my unease, I fell asleep rather easily only to awakened by something touching me in the middle of the night and receiving my violent slapping reaction. It was my husband. He said he never imagined he would have to read the Yelp reviews before booking a Baymont hotel. Lesson learned. read more

Absolutely disgusting. Cigarette burns in the bedding, the ironing board was ripped to shreds, mystery stains everywhere, the lock on the door was completely broken. We walked in, one of us took a shower, and we immediately walked out. The first thing we saw when we opened the door was a cockroach crawling around the door. DO NOT STAY HERE. As a last minute decision my family and I booked to stay in Mobile at this hotel. In the lobby there was a huge hole in the ceiling with pipes showing and two trash cans catching water. This was followed by the front desk lady telling me all the lights just went out...there was a small storm so I assumed from the weather. Get to my "King Suite" and it is DISGUSTING. The carpets feel wet, only 3 lights work in the entire room out of 9. No one had cleaned from the previous stay. There were stains all over the bedding. For a non-smoking room I was shocked that the corners of every part of the room were black with smoke. When I went to the front desk she informed me that I am now a Wyndham rewards member from booking with them, which I never agreed to. I could not let me children sleep in this filthy room. Honestly, don't pay the extra money and stay at a $30 an night motel. You get the same service and cleanliness here at triple the price. We should've done more due diligence choosing our hotel but we were rushing. First, we get to our room and it has 1 bed instead of 2 so we needed that to be switched. Then, we get to our non-smoking room and it reeks of smoke. The ceilings were disgusting stained black from smoke. The bathroom had mold & there was a giant water bubble above our bed. We notice that there's no toilet paper or towels so we call the front office (with our cell phones because there's no phone in the room) and request them. An hour later, still no towels or toilet paper. We call again, the front desk clerk apologized and said he'd send his head house keeper immediately! Well... another 45 minutes pass and I call again. After another 30 minutes my boyfriend goes to the front office where the manager apologized over and over and agreed to discount our room which was nice, if the service also improved. Well, they brought us 2 towels (for 4 guests) so we call again the next day and again another 2 hour wait before we just hunted down a housekeeper and asked for the towels off her cart. When we were checking out I started looking around the room to see if we forgot anything and low and behold, I find cigarette ashes on the floor. Honestly this place is so gross and the customer service was far below any standard. I travel often and I'll tell you, I will NEVER stay at a Baymont ever again and I'm going to make sure anyone I travel with or know will do the same. Also, notice on EVERY REVIEW the business owner responds the same way, that they appreciate our feedback and that they'll fix things. 10 months ago and you're still providing disgusting rooms and terrible customer service? There were NO OTHER OPTIONS. They took my money. Then they put me in a room with a bathroom like this. Leave you say. Where to go? There was no place to go. Thousands were displaced. I asked the desk clerk to have the manager contact me regarding my stay No contact. The motel website advertised a rate of $ 73.62. I called once and was told the rate was $120.00 plus. I told the clerk that the website said $73.62. I was then told the motel was booked. I checked Travelocity and other sites and found they had rooms available at your motel. I booked a non-smoking king room at a fraudulent price of $103.60. The fraud is in the websites advertising your motel that are not even close to a true representation. I received room #116.The air-conditioner does not work properly. 82 degrees minimum room temperature. The room was musty, and humid. No phone in room, The door part of safety latch, missing. Frig. not working. No reading lamp on bedside table as shown in website. TV does not work properly. Wall picture was sitting on the floor. Only one very small hand towel in bathroom not like shown on website. Pool closed though advertised and pictured on website.No breakfast. Photos on your website are photo shopped and rooms appear to be of from another motel. What is advertised by your motel on your website and the travel agency websites is in no way representative of your facility. Thus I suggest you are committing by "bait and switch. Your motel gives the Baymont by Wyndham a bad name. If the manager would have called me as requested and at lease tried to make amends, I take the steps to do what I can to keep other unsuspecting travelers from getting ripped off. read more

Yeah..... SHOULD HAVE CHECKED YELP. But I was totally exhausted with 3 kids. We arrived in the AFTERNOON late. The room assigned wasn't cleaned. So I took the kids to dinner. Arrived again, my niece checked the room and came running back she thought someone was asleep in the bed. ( or still NOT cleaned?) Second room: had such a chemical odor (from cleaning WHAT up??)) anyway the youngest couldn't stay. I asked for a refund (I wasn't alone in asking) another person did also. I'm STILL trying to get it. We ending up just finishing the drive. STAY AWAY! The lady at the front seemed nice, but you say you'll give me a refund then don't NICE goes bubye! read more

Staff is very friendly the customer service is very good and we had couple of small issues with The remote the maintenance man came and fixed it The breakfast is good that room is good The Wi-Fi is good What else you can read more

DONT DO IT! The sheets are nasty and stained if cleaned AT ALL. They had to fix our key each time we wanted in for TWO days! No cancelling so we HAD to stay. I should have KNOWN when we had to actually SIGN IN for continental breakfast which was barely anything. I've never in my life signed in at a hotel I have stayed at. Probably will never use Travelocity again!!!!! Why I didn't go check reviews on Yelp first is beyond me!!! read more

1 star is too much for this filthy hotel. OMG. So I was coerced into taking a last minute business trip with my partner to Alabama. I was already less than enthused because it's Ala-bama, ewww. Anyway, we arrive and my partner suggests the Baymont Hotel because he's stayed at one before in another state and the experience was good. Now, I have to blame him for this as well because he did not check the room before booking the night. Bad idea. The linens were "white" if that's what you want to call it. However; both beds had what looked like a mixture of coffee and semen stains. On top of that one of the bed linens had cigarette burn holes in it. Please forgive me but I have to LOL about this. It's funny now but I was mad as hell at the time. Just standing there looking at the room made me itch. Ohhh, and don't let me forget to mention that the door looked like it was almost broken into at one point as the lock was barely on the hinges and all the signs of forced entry was there. I didn't make it to the bathroom which I'm sure would have been equally if not more disgusting. We left but not before getting our money back. I chose the next hotel, The Ashbury, which is right across the street. If you're ever in Alabama (which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy) please at least look at The Ashbury. It was super clean, smelled great, offered free WiFi and has a very courteous staff. It looks deserted from the outside but trust me it's a gem on the inside. My partner considers me bougie and I always stay at 4&5 star hotels when I travel but I will say this; for a 3 star hotel, The Ashbury rivals many 4&5 star hotels. As for the Baymont Hotel...run away as fast as you can!!! HIDE YO WIFE, HIDE YO KIDS!!!! read more

Very satisfying and pleasant stay. Check in was fast and staff was professional. Our room was clean and parking was easy. Housekeeping came at 11am and brought us fresh linens and towels. Many restaurants nearby and easy to get to. Check out was also easy and staff thanked us for staying at the hotel. read more

Horrible is a nice word to describe this place! My family and I got two rooms last night and I cannot describe the experience we had. One of our rooms smelled like cigarettes and the other room was open.... literally an open room with everything upside down.. It looked like a room from a scary movie where someone gets murdered... We asked for another room and to our surprise this room didn't even have doorknob.. so it was impossible to go in the room. Of course we asked for a refund, hopefully we will get it back.. not a nice first impression of Alabama read more
