Ordered my niece a shuttle from BWI to meet her friends for a surprise. Her best friend was getting proposed to my her boyfriend. My niece arrived to the shuttle pick up location early but shuttle was late. After departing it stopped for about 30 min. Eventually while en route the bus broke down and everyone left including the driver leaving my 22 year old niece in tears, scared and afraid. I cannot even begin to fathom treating customers this way even with being offered a refund. read more

I've really enjoyed this service for several years as I go back and forth regularly between western Maryland and Washington DC. The drivers are usually friendly and the service is on time. They keep the shuttles clean. There are seldom any issues beyond the loud rattling and road noise that go with any shuttle on the highway. (It's not a limo service). But they lose 2 stars because the drivers do not do a headcount before leaving at rest stops where they invite you to use facilities. I've had to run after the shuttle that was leaving a without me. They're fine...just don't trust them at rest stops. PLUS 1 star for the quick and courteous response from management. read more

Worst shuttle service connected to Greyhound. We arrived on time for the pick-up, and she pulled off. The drivers don't care, and there is no communication. Also, they have bad customer service. When asking the driver what time the shuttle would arrive, I received a "Ma'am! I don't know! I'm busy here." She received a rude response back. The service won't go away because it is needed and the only one out here for this purpose. However, I believe that because they know that, they have the audacity to think they can treat people any way they want. I will be leaving a review with Greyhound also. read more

The positive experiences: They call the day before confirming your pick up The drivers are amiable and caring The negative experiences: My schedule was automatically done through Amtrack. There seems to be a lack of communication between Amtrack and this company. That same issue causes me to miss my train. I'm sure this has happened before, and instead of asking or going the extra mile, they do the bare minimum. I spoke to the Office Manager about the situation; she was dismissive and didn't seem to care. The dispatcher who was there on Saturday was very rude and not helpful at all. If you have to take this shuttle bus, I would strongly advise you to inform them several times when you need to be at the airport or station. Confirm with the driver and remember you will deal with miserable people at the main office. read more

So, they did get my daughter to her destination (BWI airport) on time and safely so that is worth 1 star I suppose. Here is what they DON'T tell you through any of the communications- depending on where you are picked up, you may be taken to other locations and left sitting for 30 minutes or more and you may also have to change vans. My daughter (19 yo) was picked up in Ocean City by a single older gentleman in a van. He then took her to another location, told her they were waiting for a different vehicle and more people, and then LOCKED HER INSIDE THE VAN WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING for 30 minutes. He apparently cracked the window but it still got very warm in the vehicle. She was close to calling for help when he re-appeared and then she was told to get onto a larger shuttle where they were taken to a third location and waited for another 30 minutes (at least she wasn't locked inside alone this time). Needless to say we won't be using this service again and neither should you. read more

Who knew!! I had no idea that there was a shuttle between BWI and Easton! I frequently visit family in and around Easton and have typically driven up from NC. I decided to fly recently and a friend told me about Bay Runner. Wow, how convenient! Their website was very simple to navigate my booking and the staff was on top of it...email reminders, texts and phone calls. The only negative I can find are the vehicles. I'm a big boy and those vans are small and packed! My round trip rides were a bit uncomfortable and being that close to folks for that amount of time is kinda tedious. But all-in-all, a great, affordable experience. I would highly recommend Bay Runner to anyone that needs to get from Baltimore to the shore. Here's a thought, Bay Runner, how bout looking into purchasing a couple of previously owned rental car buses...just sayin! read more

The worst bus service I can imagine! I bought the ticket by searching Amtrak, and it's connected journey. The train ride is 11 mins and wait for the shuttle bus at the Amtrak station. Wanted to reserve shuttle ticket only in advance because i canceled the Amtrak, but the system shows have my record. I called a cab to the station and waited the shuttle bus for hours, I wanna ask stuff to buy the bus ticket, and Amtrak stuff says they don't work for BayRunner shuttle bus. No one I could talk to like when the bus is coming and where I can buy the bus ticket. Ruined my whole journey, never again. What a unprofessional, messy management! read more

My ride from BWI to Ocean City was 5 star but it was a different driver on the return from Ocean City to BWI. The driver on my return hit the rumble strips - that road safety feature to alert inattentive drivers - 3 times. He had one hand on the wheel; one hand feeding himself. He didn't notice stopped traffic had started to move until one of the passengers mentioned it. He also didn't seem to notice another time that the traffic had stopped until a passenger yelled "eek!" because he wasn't paying attention. The driver also had the nerve to pull out his cell phone and ask Siri some stupid questions more than once. read more

I was hoping for a little more bang for my buck, but the drivers were satisfactory and I arrived safely to my destination. The van was basic, but not very clean or comfortable. The stops to pick up other passengers were hot as the driver didn't leave the van running nor open the door to let air citculate. We used BayRunner for a round trip from Baltimore (BWI) airport to Frostburg Maryland. Both trips were great. The drivers showed up on time and the vehicles were very nice and comfortable. Drivers were courteous and drove very safely. There are seven or eight stops designated pick-up stops on the route (most with free parking) and also two bathroom stops. read more

I am shocked at some of the poor reviews about this service. I get the sense that some of the reviewers are omitting parts of their story. I have taken this service round trip from Salisbury to BWI. I have taken other shuttle services in different parts of the country before and they do not compare. Bayrunner shuttles are clean and the driver's couldn't possibly be more kind, respectful, courteous, or professional. They ensure that everyone is comfortable and will gladly make a stop if you have a restroom emergency. They also communicate with their office before leaving in order to avoid traffic (if possible). NEVER use the services of the Bayrunner airport shuttle in Frederick. I am 23 weeks pregnant, and this past weekend I had to travel alone to San Diego for work. Last night I noticed that I was bleeding. Terrified I called my OB's on call number, and was instructed to go to the ER. I spent 5 hours in two hospitals, I had to be transferred in an ambulance to another hospital that had the ability to do more fetal monitoring and testing. After several scary, lonely hours of testing, the doctors finally cleared me to leave, and to fly back to BWI today. I was so exhausted and stressed that my partner offered to take the Bayrunner Shuttle to BWI to drive me home to Frederick (my car was parked at the airport). However, the shuttle driver refused to look at her emai receipt and told her to go into the Frederick greyhound station to print a hard copy. Then when she was coming back out, he proceeded to start driving away. She pounded on the trunk to let him know she was there, but he refused to stop! So after spending most of the night at the ER, exhausted and scared, I will have to drive myself home the hour back to Frederick. Bayrunner REFUSED to send another shuttle or car for my partner. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE BAYRUNNER your business!! To make things worse, my partner is pretty sure that he was discriminating against her because she is queer and has a masculine gender presentation. He was rude from the start, and saw her trying to get his attention, but drove off anyways. I plan to file a Better Business Bureau complaint. read more

I approached the driver with the ticket on my email and he said "you have to have a printed ticket." and I said "a printed ticket?" to confirm and he literally screams "that's what I said". I tried to go to the front to figure out how to print it. 3 employees at the Greyhound were trying to help me and he drove away while I was in tears. Now I'm stranded in Baltimore. I called BayRunner and they said all he had to do was call and confirm I was on the bus and I could've gotten on, but he refused to do that. I've used BayRunner a few times from Easton to BWI or vice versa and all the times have been pleasant but this last trip, on Labor Day, was discomforting. Being that it was Labor Day, there was a lot of traffic especially around the bridge so I would expect the driver to be highly attentive, driving a van full of people. But he seemed to not know how to drive in traffic, coming right up behind the car in front of us and slamming on his brakes, I thought we were going to hit the car in front of us multiple times during the trip. Additionally, there was a Yankees game that day and at one point I watched the driver close out of the GPS on his phone, and open the MLB app to check something WHILE DRIVING. If I didn't already feel uncomfortable in the van, that did it for me. It was extremely unprofessional and dangerous, especially with such dense traffic on a main road. Very disappointed in BayRunner for this trip. read more

DON'T USE BAYRUNNER, YOU'LL MISS YOUR FLIGHT!! The driver (Jim) refused me service and left me at station for no reason. He was late and I was on the phone with the main number when he finally arrived. I told him I was ready and his patron and he told me to just wait until he went inside the station to see if there were more people. Normally drivers would let you sit in the car when you wait. He was already grumpy to me at first sight, although I was pleasant. He then came back and I attempted to show him my reservation on my phone, he refused to look at it, stating I needed it printed (no where did it say that, he made that up)Then he told me to go inside to get it printed, as I walked in he started to drive away, as if it was a tactic to not take me. I ran back out and after the car, letting him know I was there by tapping the back of the van, he still didn't stop. Several people waiting there were in awe, couldn't believe I was treated this way. I called the customer service again and was told he was running late and couldn't get me. They offered me a shuttle the next day. If you want to make your flights DON'T use this service. read more

Just a quick note to say I have used the Bayrunner BWI-Salisbury shuttle many times and am very pleased with all aspects of their service. They provide a much needed service for the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Unlike 2 of the previous reviewers, I have been able to show my reservation number on my IPhone without any problem whatsoever. I believe there were 2 reviews from the same family covering the same unpleasant experience so I hope prospective customers will take that into account. As a regular user, I can assure future customers that the experience mentioned is an exception. Just today I had to postpone my travel and a very nice woman named, Michaela, allowed me to credit my payment for my next trip. The drivers have always been courteous and respectful of my privacy. Since the previous reviewers felt that they experienced discrimination based on their unique family situation, I encourage the management to provide education about serving the diversity within the human family as we all have room to grow and learn in that area. read more
