I joined back in December and have had such an incredible experience, between the warm community, friendly staff, sauna, cold plunge, and of course my favorite chilled tea tree towels! The owners, Beth and Jeff, along with the gym's manager, Kam, really make you feel like a part of their gym family and are so attentive to any needs. I was in town for a 3‑week work trip and decided to give Bayshore Fit a try. I hoped for a prorated or weekly rate, but had to sign up for the standard monthly membership. While here, I've tried several group classes, the Peloton bikes, and infrared saunas. I really love the boutique atmosphere of the gym, which even during peak hours, never feels crowded. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, and the class coaches (Jake, Allie, and Conna) have all been encouraging and welcoming. I'm absolutely hooked on the infrared saunas and book a session whenever I can. Pro tip: if you prefer privacy, choose Sauna 1, as Sauna 2 is located just outside the locker room area. read more

I have a free membership here because my apartment building has their fitness center under construction. After reading the reviews, I was really excited to try the gym, however, I have been very disappointed. It is definitely not worth $150 a month and I will be ending my membership. The girl who signed us up was very friendly, but I have not seen her since my first day. The other staff is not very friendly and neither are the trainers. The equipment appears rundown and is rusting in some areas. It took about 10 minutes just to try to get one of the peloton bikes to work. The air conditioning is consistently not working well and I'm sweating before I even start my workout. There is no real "gym crew" community vibe and everyone avoids eye contact and sticks to themselves. The positive thing is, they have a lot of good machine selection, water refill station, and showers... But unfortunately, it is so hot in there you would be sweating as soon as you got out of the shower, so I don't bother using them. There is a sign saying shirts must be worn, but no dress code is enforced. Many of the women dress very provocatively. read more

My husband and I were looking for a boutique gym that struck the perfect balance--not too small, not too big. We wanted a clean space with available equipment, no long waits, excellent group classes, and a strong sense of community. After trying out multiple gyms and classes through Wellness Hub and ClassPass, we finally landed on Bayshore Fit--and we only wish we had found it sooner. We absolutely love this gym. Over 2 years here and love it, one of the few gyms with outside area and outside classes, never too busy and no "fitness influencers" with tripods. I wanted to join a good gym but the gym owner (Beth) is less concerned about the value we receive for the $150 monthly + $25 annual fee than the actual gym itself. Equipment is old, not renovated, and has small square footage for the actual gym so not much privacy to do your own workout. People are on top of each other in a crowded space with rusty equipment. First day impressions: Unknowledgeable front desk staff and not very welcoming as I walked in for the first time. Update: Staff have been more welcoming and have greeted me more consistently. The facility is always clean and the workout equipment is above average. Although my initial experience was poor, the owner of the gym did introduce himself and shook my hand as he saw me leaving the first day (after bad initial experience) and asked one of the front desk staff to hand him a welcome bag which he then handed to me (contained a free guest pass and energy drink). This shows that the owner knows how to deliver a remarkable experience and will hopefully coach his staff to do the same to all potential new members. read more

Couple things you should know.. I came in for a tour of the gym and the girl at the desk that gave me a tour (supposedly the GM) seemed more interested in flirting with the men at the desk and that I was a bother to interrupt their conversation. Gym itself was decent, not worth $150 membership though. Much smaller than the photos. Equipment seemed dirty and there was a lot of things just thrown around. I tried asking questions but dont feel like all of my questions were answered just rushed through. I was put on "a list" but never followed up with after.. I guess because I wouldnt give my billing information for them to charge me. Was also interested in personal training too but again, never followed up with like I was told I was. Extremely disappointing based on the reviews, seems like this gym is going down hill. read more

I popped in here on a Monday to take a boot camp styled class after hearing wonderful things about this gym. I was on a class pass. The workout that Dan gave us was superior in my opinion and challenging. He was clear in his instruction, motivating and offered alternatives. This was designed for an advanced participant. Although the main gym is air-conditioned, the boot camp was given in a building off to the side that is not. They had a small fan and a large door was left open for ventilation. The heat was draining for me and this was in November so just keep that in mind if you have issues with heat and stay hydrated. Water and towels are provided, which I thought was nice. read more

What a great gym to work out at! I love Bayshore Fit and the owners, Beth and Jeff, do absolutely everything they can to ensure that client needs are met with enthusiasm and warmth. The space itself is lofty and gorgeous, stocked with brand new high-end equipment, including several perk amenities, and the standards of cleanliness are excellent. Everyone they hire is kind and attentive which begins right at the front desk when you check in with genuine greetings reflecting their commitment to fantastic customer service. Their motto "lift local" is certainly apt given that it's a community-driven gym in which people are amicable, and many friendships are made. It is totally the antidote to the anonymity of big box gyms, and having tried so many over the years, I can genuinely say that Bayshore Fit is a superior experience. The trainers that I've worked out with (Conna, Katie, Jessica, and Jacob) are skilled and conscientious. New trainers have been added to the roster too, and fitness classes are expanding with a diverse array of offerings (everything from Crossfit to HIIT and tailored workouts that target specific muscle groups alongside personal training are available). The vibe at the gym is fun, professional, and welcoming. Bayshore Fit is a great asset to the Tampa Bay area, and I highly recommend joining! read more

Choose another gym. There are plenty of gyms out there that don't have contracts that will cost you in the end. I cancelled my membership in September and had to pay through November because of their crazy contract. As far as the actual gym - the classes try to be like CrossFit, but aren't any good, very unoriginal, boring, and repetitive; the facilities are fine, but you can get just as good for a lot cheaper. Joined the gym recently (2020) and stopped my membership in 2021. It's great gym and the equipment is great. The classes are fun and the trainers and the people working out in the classes are down to either and friendly. Unlike other gyms I felt comfortable. People of all ages and athletic builds so from gym rats to people taking the first steps to lose a few pounds ect. No pressure kind of environment. I didn't have any crazy contract and the price was more then appropriate for the services and size. For a "smaller" gym compared to big corp style mega gyms they have a lot of high end equipment (even a peloton) and easy to schedule classes via app. I traveled a lot so just wasn't a fit anymore but I wouldn't have stopped going otherwise. read more

I love Bayshore Fit. It's become my home gym away from home. Ever since moving and a random turn of events, I've struggled getting back into a routine but ever since joining BSF getting to the gym had been super easy. I love the shed as it has all the functional equipment that I could ever wish for. When I don't feel like dealing with the humidity I also like that I have the option to I can go to the main gym to enjoy AC along with treadmills with cable TV. Vinny, Katie, and Scott run awesome classes that force me to get my cardio in. The owners and everyone who works here has always been super friendly, flexible, and helpful. The gym is never full so I don't ever have to wait on any machines or barbells. The one thing I wish they had is a pool but I understand I can't have everything I want. Overall I'm super satisfied and am excited to continue here on my journey to get swoll (lol jk). read more

Not packed full of people and it is very clean and has every kind of equipment a gym needs . Even have an outdoor "shed" for members to work out in outside that has all kinds of boot camp apparatus. Have been training with Beth and Jeff for years and they are both very knowledgable. I have numberous back, neck and arthritis issues and they know what type of exercises for me to avoid and what exercise will help. It really nice to be able to park and work out at gym then walk outside and go for a run. You can come back and rehydrate and shower! read more
