We stopped at Bayshore Restaurant to order take-out pizza. The restaurant was clean and well kept. The server was friendly, polite and helpful. We ordered the Veggi Pizza - white with garlic and oil. The other veggi pizza option was red with sauce but we have found that white pizza at the shore is usually very good. The server volunteered that our pizza would be ready in about 20 minutes. It was actually ready in just under 15 minutes, a good sign. The pizza included six different fresh vegetables and was on a very tasty crust. For the price, we would have liked to have seen a lot more of the vegetables, had them more evenly dispersed, and had them spread closer to the edge. The primary reason that we ordered the white Veggi Pizza was that we were hoping for a strong garlic taste. While there was plenty of oil, we did not find that there was nearly enough garlic taste to satisfy us. The restaurant has a large menu of Italian specialties and we may consider a return if we are in the area and are looking for Italian food but probably will not return for another pizza. read more

They used to have really good food and they must have been good to work for because the same waitresses seemed to stay there forever. My wife and I used to eat here regularly up until about a year and a half ago. The food went seriously downhill and all of the regular waitresses seemed to be replaced practically overnight. Never have i eaten chicken marsala and it be served with cubed potatoes and some mixed veggies. Usually its served with pasta. Not that it matters because pasta is bland, and well everything was bland. Although the chicken breast was moist, it had zero flavor. The food is good if you can get it. On the weekends when you order it takes a solid hour or better to pick up take out. If you want delivery forget it. Tonight I ordered at 7:30 PM 2 cheesesteaks, eggplant fries and wings. I called at 8:50 and it would be another 10 minutes before it was cooked and another 30 to 45 to deliver because there were 2 orders ahead of me and the girl was absolutely unapologetic about all of it. 2.5 to 3 hours from ordering to delivery is ridicules. After a long day at the beach me my sister and my mother were expecting a decent Italian meal. First of all I'm not a chef and I am not coming at the chefs throats but the Antipasti salad was poorly put together, there were sweet peppers thrown on top of the salad and nothing was chopped. We ordered our meals which I ordered the Fettuccine with chicken and my mom and sister shared the eggplant Parmesan. The fettuccine was so watery, like my noodles were drowning in the sauce, the eggplant wasn't fried all the way and the side dish of "homemade" pasta was literally sticking together. The only good thing about our meal was the chicken in my Alfredo. The music that this place was playing was so Irritating, they're trying to pull off the Italian feel which I understand but it was utterly too loud and so out dated. This restaurant needs improvement, they need to fix their "homemade" pasta so it doesn't stick together and maybe make things look decent. read more

We went here years ago and loved the pizza and rolls. Decided to stop in last night for sandwiches. I order eggplant parm on a roll (without the cheese) and a order of fries. The eggplant was greasy and undercooked. The French fries were undercooked and oily as well. I'm not sure if there was a new cook back there or not, but they need to use fresh oil when they fry and learn how long to cook things. Our server disappeared and never checked back. Tried them for first time in awhile. Service was very slow. Waitresses stand around and talk do not check if you need anything. They charge for refills on soda and ice tea. When you are charging almost $2.00 for soda should get at least one refill. Pizza was ok. read more

Bayshore used to have great pizza. They used to have great dinners and subs too. Not so much anymore. Maybe I should have known better than to order a dinner on a Wednesday when their regular cook probably has the night off. I usually order the buffalo chicken cheesteak, which isn't bad. It's not incredible, but not bad. Tonight I got a chicken parm dinner with spaghetti, garlic bread and a salad. The salad was actually pretty nice looking even though he shoved it aside to have at his meat. The chicken was black. It looked like it was fried in old, not hot enough oil, and tasted the same way. And the sauce on it was awful. I actually wondered if the place was under new management after tasting this stuff. It was honestly the worst chicken parm I've ever eaten, and that includes the frozen chicken patty with some spaghetti sauce and melted cheese my college dining hall used to serve. The pasta was overcooked and clumped together and covered with the tasteless tomato sauce, and the garlic bread was cold and gummy. They might have just been having an off night, but I'd stay away from it if I were you. It makes me sad to type that. I remember the good ol' days when we we were kids and used to get blow-pops with our pizza. It used to be good here, but it seems pretty hit or miss now. I think it depends on who's cooking. If you order one of their special subs, sometimes they don't put everything on the sub that's on the menu. The pizza's not very good, but the meatballs are home made, and usually excellent. Came in on Thursday night with a party of 8 and the dinning room was pretty full, but our waitress had no problem fitting us in. The service was excellent, our waitress was one of the nicest I have ever had, she was talking to the kids as the we waiting and they loved her. Normally i'm a fan of this place. I'll stop in for a slice and fries now and then. On this occasion i was feeling a salad so I tried to order one. The girl on the phone couldn't tell me remotely what was in them so eventually i figured i'd get a ceasar salad with cajun chicken bc how bad can that be. Well she said it would be ready in less than fifteen minutes. A half hour later the salad comes out and the lettuce is SOGGY from the dressing and the two bread knots it came with are stone cold. not to mention the chicken tastes like it was cooked and then reheated. The food is absolutely disgusting! They claim that their pasta is "homemade" but it is definitely not. Saying homemade on the package does not mean you make it yourself! The pasta was tough and overcooked. I ordered eggplant parmesan and it tasted terrible. The oil was probably months old and the salad it came with also looked about a month old. I was afraid to even touch it. The eggplant was so greasy and the sauce on it had very little taste. By far, the biggest waste of money....EVER! I would've been better off going to wawa across the street. I've gotten pizza there before and it is disgusting too. I thought ordering something besides pizza might be okay, but it was far from good. The restaurant also smelled of cigarette smoke. The first time i stopped here I took out. The Itialian hoagie was fine. After that experience I stopped agian and sat at the small counter. the waitress was very nice and keep me company as I ate 2 plain slices which were very good. Been coming to this place for 12 years now, my children have grown up eating at bayshore pizza every summer.the service has gone downhill this summer tremendously. The server staff was very prompt in seating my family (we were the only family in the entire restaurant) 4th of July, that was red flag #1. This place was always packed July 4th weekend! The waitress gave us our drinks with no straws, I asked for no oregano on my hoagie...,a ton of oregano. No one came over to ask if we needed anything, again....the ONLY family in the restaurant. I asked my 7 year old to go find more napkins because the waitress was nowhere to be found. The food was good, but the owner better have a few more ppl lined up to hire ASAP. I gave it 4 stars out of respect, and loyalty as a local hoping the owner see this and do what needs to be done so we can have a good pizza place again. read more

The portion sizes are miniscule for the money. We ordered a child's ravioli. When it was delivered we found 3 thin, pathetic raviolis for which we had spent $5.65 cents. That was it. The rest of the order was incomplete as well. After arguing that the raviolis were expensive because they were specially imported from Ventnor (!), they finally agreed to exchange them for a child's cheeseburger. It took forever for the delivery person to get back with the rest of our order and the replacement cheeseburger. A hot sandwich from Wawa across the street is a far better deal. read more

This place was by far the worst pizza place I have ever been to in my entire life hands down. I have ordered here twice thinking that the first time was just a fluke or bad experience,everyone deserves a second chance right? Not this place. I ordered wings the first time with fries, my wife ordered a chicken parm sandwich the wings tasted like they were a day old and heated I'm the microwave they were absolutely horrible, the fries weren't too bad but they were cold. The chicken parm was also terrible. It tasted like it was also reheated and it wasn't even hot. Also, they told me 20 minutes i got there in 30 minutes and I waited in the restaurant for another 20. The food and service was horrible. Please stay away and don't waste your time or money. They are also the only pizza place that delivers to your campsite at OVR campground, but order from else where and meet them at the front visitors lot. Please stay away. read more

This weekend, I was at the campground getting my camper ready for the winter. Me and the guys ordered from Bayshore Pizza, and got ready for the Eagles game. After an incredibly long wait picking the food up (they said our order wasn't ready, but the way they scurried around whispering and looking, I don't think it was ever started), we took our food back to the campsite. How angry were we when the tiny, undercooked wings were buffalo, NOT teryaki like we wanted, The pizza did not seem to be extra cheese, and my brother's cheesesteak had fried onions. He HATES fried onions!!!! At least the soda wasn;t flat. I called to complain, and was told that if we bring the food back, it would be replaced. Well, at halftime, we went back, and got the replacement food. it must have been our original order, because it was correct, but it was ICE COLD despite the fact that they took it off the top of the oven.
