Donut sampler! Apple fritter, Carmel delight, powdered, lemon glazed, and glazed

Wow. WOW. Real donuts that are GF. They actually have raised donuts, not just cake donuts. They were delish. My husband and I sampled every single one, and he couldn't believe they were gluten free. We had these delivered and the service was prompt and polite. And the donuts were amazing!

I came to Okie Dokie Donuts two minutes before closing and paid for a fresh half dozen. It was a hot day, so I appreciated the offer of cold iced water while I waited. Some of the donuts were made on the spot and served warm, which was nice. The donuts looked great but all tasted pretty much the same. I couldn't tell the difference between the lemon glaze and the dulce. Even the ube one was pretty but it didn't stand out with flavor. What was really memorable was that not even a minute after I finished paying, I watched at least five other people show up, while the store was marked closed, given free donuts or heavy discounts on the exact same items I just paid full price for. So I was the only one who didn't get the deal.

A visit to Okie Dokie is the ULTIMATE treat. The rough Philly parking scene could never, ever keep me away. I went savory with my order this time, going for the fried chicken donut sandwich. But I also couldn't resist getting a raised chocolate donut as well. The employee at the window was a certain type of chill & helpful that really put me at ease. I wish I could provide more detail on the intricacies of flavors in the fried chicken donut sandwich, but I snarfed it in literally 30 seconds. What a bad food critic I am today! All I can say is: DELICIOUS! Can't wait to be driving by Philly for whatever reason again so I can make my routine Okie Dokie stop.

Well this is a dope little donut shop. The way forward is the coffee + donut for $5.50, which is only available Mon-Fri. I got the coffee caramel crisp donut thingy. The name of the flavor escapes me but it is was something along those lines. It was terrific. The drip coffee to go alongside the donut was clutch. Also, shout-out to Okie Dokie for the many variety of flavors they dream up. Really impressive. Go checkout their website. I love Okie Dokie and all that they represent. I would argue that Okie Dokie is worth going out of your way to visit (it's only a block off the Broad Street Line). Takeaway only.

If you're gluten free, this is a top choice if you're cravings donuts (or a few other things on their menu). Also serving coffee and drinks, and some fried chicken items. Donuts can be offered as vegan as well. Everything is made fresh when you order, so donuts are fried up warm and not sitting around. It's all window service so you just order there and then wait around until your order is called. Decent stream of people ordering or picking up in the morning. I ordered their seasonal special maple raspberry. Donut itself was a bit on the dry side and did not have enough jam filling spread inside to balance that out. It was still tasty. Next trip I would want to try one of their standard donuts as well. Thanks

We made a day trip to philly to hunt down some Gluten free/dairy free spots and I believe we have hit the mother load. This place is so sinful with an assortment delicious goodies. Everything was house made on the spot. Okie Dokie Donuts started off as a fun side project in 2012 by Carol Ha. Everything is Gluten free/Nut Free/ Dairy free Vegan. It's a small cozy hole in the wall where you just walk up order at the window. We made 2 separate orders 1st order - Raspberry Lime cake cup [layers of fresh raspberries, cake doughnut, lime cream, raspberry jam and whipped cream] were not even a raspberry lover but it's damn gooood. - Popcorn chicken with tot sauce had huge pieces with the perfect seasoning, crispy and juicy. The tot sauce has a hint of citrus and spicy mayo which complements the chicken so well. 2nd order - 3 Boston cream doughnuts fresh out of the fryer - birthday cake doughnut [vanilla cake, strawberry milk glaze, rainbow sprinkles] - orange ricotta [orange ricotta cake, orange ricotta glaze, thyme sugar] - A fried chicken doughnut sandwich with spicy chipotle mayo. This was literally an OMG moment perfect combination of sweet and savory. The fried chicken was super tender, juicy and crunchy topped with their homemade sauce, zucchini slices, lettuce, onion and huge fried chicken in between their gluten free doughnut. Definitely coming back here again

Impressive find. Gluten free donut shop window in South Philly that offers: Corndog donuts, fried chicken sandwiches, donut flavors including Creme Brule, Smore donuts. I started off with The Riz (risotto donut consisting of stewed tomatoes, basil, goat cheese and mozzarella, coated in donut breadcrumbs and deep fried, served with a cool, herby ranch sauce). This tasted like a gooey mozzarella stick and was terrific. Hot Diggity Dog - All beef Sabrett hot dog, deep fried and served on a toasted donut bun. This was fantastic and I typically remove the buns when eating hot dogs but the bun was spectacular. Highly recommend. Fried Chicken Chipotle Sandwich - three fried chicken strips sandwiched between a toasted raised donut, served with pepper Jack Cheese, arugula, red onion, pickles, and chipotle mayo. Sandwich was decent but on my next trip I will prob not get just because this place offers so many other unique and tasty options. Was my two hours round trip to South Philly worth it for Okie Dokie Donuts? For dam sure, and if you're in the area anyway for a ball game you should def plan a stop here. As always people SYOY!!

Raised donut (dulce), raised donut (lemon), strawberry shortcake, pride special (coffee and cream), creme brûlée, and apple fritter.

Loved this fully gluten free donut stand! It's just an order window, so we took our donuts to a nearby coffee shop to enjoy. Everyone's favorite was the creme brulee, which had a crunchy outside and creamy inside. Another favorite was the mango sticky rice (not pictured) which actually didn't have a strong mango or coconut flavor, but was nicely moist. Another fave was the apple fritter, but I do wish there was more apple flavor on the inside instead of just the perimeter of the donut. The strawberry shortcake was the only disappointment. It tasted like a blueberry muffin--not bad by any means but not what I was expecting.

I used to regularly visit Okie Dokie Donuts when I lived in South Philly. I miss it now that I live in Fishtown/NoLibs, especially because of all the fun flavors that I can't get here. Its colorful signage and convenient grab-and-go service stand out for sure. My favorite part about Okie Dokie is its rotating menu of specialty donuts like Mango Crème Brulee beside classics like Boston Crème. I'd recommend following them on Instagram to see what's there during the given week. Many of the options are gluten-free, which is a big thing that the shop prioritizes. I also love the specialty drinks they had for the summer like Thai Tea Lemonade. The cream-filled donuts are a little hit or miss for me because of how the cream seeps into the dough, but I've enjoyed every one of the other kinds of donuts I've had there. They have just the right amount of sweetness and moisture.

Vegan Apple cider donuts and vegan pumpkin chocolate

The vegan donuts are to die for!!! The rest looks absolutely amazing as well and I've heard fantastic things - just have additional food allergies. I've never had a bad flavor, every month I think I have a new favorite lol. Best vegan gf donuts I've ever had by a mile. Attached photo: some cute and delicious fall donuts!

I can see people spending their entire day here, and absolutely loving it :) They have AC on inside and you just can't complain. I visited three places: Fox and Son, Miller's Twist, and Bassetts Ice Cream. At Fox and Son, I tried their veggie cheddar jalapeño plant-based corn dog, which was yummy but very messy to eat. The pretzel line at Miller's was long but moved pretty fast. I got a regular pretzel and was mind blown at how fresh, soft, and delicious it was! Lastly, had to grab some ice cream to stay cool in the heat. The nice gentleman allowed me to sample two flavors before I decided to get a scoop each in a cup: English Toffee and Butterscotch Vanilla. I really enjoyed the crunch in the English Toffee. It felt really good eating it outside in the heat.

Recently, I found my chicken sandwich to be on the smaller side, looking almost like they accidentally used a tender instead of the usual breast (or half breast?). Today, I ordered an Early Bird breakfast sandwich (which did have a tender in it) and Hot Cocoa donut and they were really good. The smell of the sandwich permeates the air like a hot breakfast fresh off the grill. After I finished mine, I could smell the aroma of the sandwich on a freshly ordered one two seats away from me. The look and smell of the donuts makes me want not one but three, but I know that if I did that, I'd be fat as a house. The attention to detail on the little things really count and do get noticed. Take a look at the caps on the cups. Other restaurants can learn from this. Whatever caps they use on their fountain drinks... it's a phenomenal cap that won't pop off even when you squeeze the cup real hard. The branding on their cups, bags, and all around the store are sensational. Solomonov's team has done a great job on the logo. Now, I will say that there are some people who prefer the other type of donut - the fried dough donut - versus Federal Donut's cake donut. I sometimes flip back and forth between the two, but you can't dislike cake donuts. Each "Fancy" or "Classic" donut is like a little Bundt cake or cupcake. If you don't like cupcakes or Bundt cakes, you have no soul. Believe it or not, you can order a salad from Federal Donuts. There are two offered, but the stars of the show are the chicken sandwiches and the donuts. Go get them today!
