The cottages are well stocked for cooking, and the supply room had oil, spices, coffee filters, and so many other amenities should we need them. Like I said, the location is truly incomparable. Nearly every window has a beach view. I'll recommend this place to anyone who will listen. Our last visit was in 2022, and we stayed in the same cottage. The living room dining room, a small window in the bedroom and the kitchen stove overlooks the water. You can spend so much time just at the property. The Heather Cabin appears to have been built perhaps in the 1930's and retains its vintage charm. The Heather Cabin is very well maintained and has everything you need to be comfortable. The cabin is right on the water and the views are amazing and ever changing between morning, during the day, and at sunset. And you can enjoy the view from the picture window bedroom, from the many windows in the living room, and from vantage points just right outside the Cabin. The resort has been steadily going down hill for years now. The road on the beach has eroded so badly that it seems it will just slip into the sea. Maintenance is just not happening and complaints are blatantly ignored. This once was a wonderful place to stay but sadly it is absolutely not worth the money anymore.

We rang the bell, looked around, called their number, but could not locate anyone. My wife and I decided to use the time to explore the island. Charles called, he had been out back doing yard work. When we arrived the second time, we were greeted by Charles with an apology and a tour. The home is tidy, eclectic and quirky. Our room was wonderful. Plenty of space, comfortable bed and charming. Another bonus of staying here was the breakfasts. The food is delicious and unexpected. I did not anticipate seared sushi grade tuna or oat pancakes that rival the best buttermilk pancakes. And the beauty of breakfast times is sitting with other guests along with Jill and Charles discussing everything from how it all began at the Kangaroo B&B to activities to do on the island. I have to say, with the exception of the amazing views from Mount Constitution, the water views from almost everywhere on the island and celebrating my wife, this B&B was a highlight of my trip.

We didn't even leave the resort in the evenings, just relaxed and enjoyed the amazing scenery and relaxation. The only downside to the location is the fact that it is right across from an airstrip- so you get to see a lot of little planes landing and taking off while you are sitting on that back deck. Well, it wasn't really a downside for us since the friends we were with know a ton about small planes so we enjoyed the coming and going. And, you couldn't hear the noise from inside the condo. The condo itself was nice, adequate, nothing fancy. It was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was reasonably well-stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. Mike at the front desk and Bo from the adventure outfitters were helpful and ready to make sure we had a great time. Great for families!

In the morning you can hear all the birds chirping in the morning which was just utter serenity! The hosts were very friendly and the freshly made breakfast treats in the morning were a nice touch. There are cats and deer and sheep!…read more We booked this campsite on the same day we arrived on Lopez island, kind of hectic but everything worked out well. It's only a 5 minute drive from the ferry, very convenient and easy to access. Even though our campsite 11 was the one closest to the road, but after dark it wasn't noisy at all, until half past six in the morning when visitors are coming from the ferry again. I slept well here. The ground was dry and clean, there weren't slugs sprawled on the tarp like butter spread on bread the next morning. The picnic table and two Adirondack chairs were in good condition, so we didn't use our camping chairs at all. There were several clean bathrooms with hot water and hair dryers in the campground, this is really a bonus for me when it comes to summer camping. I spent some time playing with the two lovely farm cats, Nori (the short tail) and Kombu (the long tail). Both of them are kind of aloof, not the most affectionate ones, but you know, they are cats and that' why we love them. I'd say the price for tent camping was slightly higher than Odlin Park's, but based on my experience and the campsite quality, I think it was totally worth it.
