I took my 17 ft fishing boat to Bayside, It would not idle and it stalled when it was put in gear. Capt Greg said he will look at it and call me but that the inspection was $120.00 . I agreed to that. 3 days late he called and said he thinks the boat was sunk and that the engine has a bad cylinder, bad fuel lines, a leaking fuel tank and that they are known for this. I said it was not worth the cost of a new motor to fix it along with the replacement of the fuel tank and lines he offered me $3000.00 for the boat and aluminum trailer. I told him i would think about it. I went to pick it up and he charged me $360.00. I said that he told me 120.00 but he said that was per hour and he had 3 hours checking it out. I called another shop and told them what Capt Greg said was wrong with my boat, the man told me that Greg was a know scam artist in the area. He was 4 weeks out for repairs , so I went to another repair shop , he said the exact same thing about Greg but that he could get to it in a week or so. They cleaned and replaced the fuel and filter and rebuild one carburetor for $534.81 Moral to the story: I almost sold this boat for 3k to a con man! My gut told me to walk away from this con man. He comes on as this nice old guy that wants to help you out, but he wants to take advantage of you and underhandedly take your boat from you so he can sell it later and make a killing on it!! Capt. Greg sold me a 2004 Mercury 225 that he said was a factory rebuild with new powerhead had a new paint job. He would not produce any paper work on motor at sale. Turned out it was a 1996 225 that had 70 psi compression, not rebuilt, serial numbers were removed, other parts removed, would not run, leaked water in several places. First off I had to order my own parts which I'm not a mechanic so trying to ask a customer to do this and deal with parts companies is ridiculous! After part was received I took it to them to which they asked what took so long? They finished my jet ski repair after giving me a quote around 600$ less than actual price I had to pay and the worst part about that was because I was out of town for 4 days when I got back they threatened to charge me 4 days storage fees! Repairs were done over the winter Covid 19 restricted the boat season so by the time I was able to put my jet ski in the water and notice that it was taking on water I called and low and behold I was told it had been to long and that it could be anything I should've brought it sooner! The owner has the worst demeanor I've ever encountered in a business owner in my life and I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy! read more

Terrible experience with this business. Owner does not give an initial quote, fails to complete service in the given timeline, and charges much more than most reputable marinas in the area. Several times, I have gone for repairs, paid hundreds or thousands, and returned to a boat that was not in any means fixed. My advice is to avoid at all costs, there are much better options in the area. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR SERVICE. We recently took our 2012 jet ski in for service as, after 2 years of sitting, it was not running right. Yes, it was our fault for letting it sit that long without using it but, we were assured by Captain Greg that they would "get R done," as marketed on their website. We told Greg that we would like an estimate before ANY work was performed. He assured that this could be provided. After numerous phone calls over the next month, we finally were told that they really had no idea what was wrong with the jet ski. After a three way call with Greg and Seadoo, it was determined that quite a few things could be tried. Greg told us for parts and labor it would be around $3,000. We told him to do the work but, DO NOT go over $3,000 without calling us. After another week (5 weeks total now that the ski was in their shop), the ski was finally "fixed, runs great" we were told. We picked up the ski to find that our $3k bill was actually $3,900! Greg was kind enough (sarcasm) to take off $300 however, this was still over the agreed upon price. We took the jet ski home and 2 days later dropped the ski in the water. Did it run right? NOPE. The engine temperature quickly shot to over 250 degrees and the acceleration would stop at 55 MPH (this jet ski goes 72 MPH). After 5 mins in the water, we let Greg know that the ski WAS NOT fixed. We returned it to the shop and again told him to DO NOTHING until he told us what needed to be fixed and how much. A week later we were told the ski was once again done, so into the shop we go to find a $290 bill! It's not that we can't afford $290; its the principle that we told him not to do anything until we knew the price. We actually figured he would fix it this time and make it right without a bill since he told us it was running the first time we picked it up. Obviously, they hadn't fixed it and we aren't even sure if they actually water tested it as they said. This time, he even tried to show us a computer print out of the last 60 minutes of usage. The data showed that we road the ski wide open for 1 hour total. If someone can tell us where we can take a jet ski wide open at 72 miles and hour for an entire hour, please let me know. The other fact, is that we had the ski for only 5 of the computer read 60 minutes so, are you trying to tell us that your shop guys burnt up our jet ski Greg? Further more, when we dropped the ski in the water the second time, it STILL DID NOT WORK. This guy is a huge scammer and has no idea how to fix jet skis as his website and he claim they can. Be aware that he also DOES NOT provide estimates, though he will tell you that he does. He will perform the work and then charge you whatever he feels like charging you. DO NOT go here! read more
