Ordered a sprocket via their web store, was quoted 5-7 business days shipped to US. 10 business days later, still no tracking information on the website, no updates from the seller otherwise, and no response to inquiries. Phone goes to voicemail during business hours. Disputing my purchase with PayPal, and judging from their history this is a common complaint with their web orders. very upset I didn't look them up first to see what their reputation was like before ordering. read more

Horrible Service! Only made one order with them and already had a terrible experience! Kevin was incapable of strategizing or working with customers to provide an amicable solution to a problem. One item in my order was apparently out of stock. Yet they still had it posted and claimed it was in stock. They should not have even processed my payment in the first place if this was the case. Kevin notified me and suggested they could order in the item, but I would have to pay full price for it. I requested that they fulfill my order as is. Instead Kevin cancelled the entire order and pretty much had no patient to deal with this issue. He had zero hesitation to lose my business as a customer and obviously does not value the satisfaction of his customers. Honestly this is probably the worst customer service I have ever received... Placed an order for some motorcycle boots that were out of stock everywhere else. (Thought I got lucky, so didn't bother ordering a different pair along with my other gear from the states) Anyways card was charged. Got an email a couple days later from Brian telling me that the boots were not in stock with no estimated restock (no apology or acknowledgment, or grammar, for that matter). I asked for a refund. I was refunded the amount of the boots, minus an amount that added up to the tax. I inquired with Brian, thinking an honest mistake had happened and they simply forgot to refund the tax. I was then told over the course of a few emails that there was a bank error, that it wasn't there fault, and that they "don't pay extra money". If this was my fault - if I had ordered the boots and then cancelled the order, sure. But it was not. The boots were listed as in stock when they were not, and now I am down $30, won't have boots in time for my course next weekend, and have a headache. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere. read more

I went in with a preconceived desire for high performance tires for doing Moto Gymkhana as recommended by top riders in Japan. Last set of tires only lasted 2500km but they were 2500km of great fun. Kevin (very knowledgeable service person/owner) steered me in a better direction for super sticky tires for our cooler climate. Fantastic, I love them!!! Also got my system flashed and an oil change. Service was fast, friendly and affordable. I'll be back for sure, probably within 2500km of fun again. read more

I ordered a Yoshimura R-77 full exhaust system in carbon on November 27th 2022. They told me the following day that it could take up to 6 weeks to arrive which I thought is normal because most of the other places selling it where out of stock, but not on Bayside Performance website. I got another email December 1st 2022 saying that it'll take another 6 weeks until the item comes and once again I let it pass. January 17th 2023 I asked about where was my item and I got as a reponse to wait another 2 weeks because they where still back ordered, note that on their web page they are still in stock. March 6th 2023 I've requested to cancel my order and to get a refund because it is ridiculous to wait that long and other places got them back in stock. I've read a couple bad stories about other customer's experinece with claiming a refund with Kevin so I went and opened a dispute with PayPal. He refuses to refund me through PayPal and has banned my account from the website. I'll let PayPal do their thing and get my money back. read more

I was riding around town today and I decided to check out Bayside Performance since I haven't been in their shop forever. Ended up walking out w/ a set of new Pilot powers regular & some maintenance work. Some ppl might ask if I was I suckered? No, I was already shopping around for a new set of rubbers anyway and they have the best deal in town so it was a no brainer. They worked on my bike right away and I was outta there before u know it. This is the only place I've ever paid for shipping on an order more than $500. The return policy is terrible so make sure you don't order something that you might need to return! There's a 20 percent restocking fee and I had to pay return shipping to the manufacture. You're better off with Fort Nine. It cost me $100 to change my mind. read more

I recently spent approx $2000 at this shop on service and parts for my track bike. A subsequent phone call to get some information was treated first with amnesia (no, didn't remember the bike) then with suspicion (big explanation that some people try to blame him for subsequent issues), and finally with contempt (I was lucky they even agreed to do the work as it's so difficult and problematic). After suggesting that I begin by purchasing a part that he's "sure isn't the problem", he ended the discussion saying that he's so busy he really doesn't have time to waste discussing my problems. As he so astutely stated, I need to take it to a shop for diagnosis and "get it fixed". Which of course, is why I called him in the first place... but you can be sure, it won't be his shop. read more

In short order I discovered that the "guy" I talked with didn't know the product, didn't understand the question, didn't realize this was a product he sold and got angrier and angrier as I tied to ask him some questions while helping him find the product on his own web site. This store has one of the worst customer service ever. Or actually let me correct that, the customer service is nonexistent in this establishment. The staff (particularly the older gentleman of asian descent) has to be the rudest, and most obnoxious person I've ever encountered in the retail industry. When asking the old man a question about their products trying to get an answer out of him is comparable to the CIA interrogating a terrorism activist. He does not answer customer questions, and just blatantly ignores you. But when he does he talks to you as if you are mentally challenged. Fuel cap Driven Halo ,advertized as Fuel cap/Base. don't get fooled, it is not Fuel cap and Base, it is just the cap and the necessary frame to the cap. You still need the original base to mount the Driven Halo But that's only written on the installation instruction wenn you receive you Tank Cap. That's a rip off. read more

Went in to this place a few weeks ago to find a set of bar end mirrors for my gal's bike. We had ordered a pair online but the handlebars on her bike have a plate welded on the ends so using the 7/8th expansion bolt set up on the mirrors we ordered weren't compatible. I didn't even get through asking my first question to the guy behind the counter when he spoke over top of me in a very condescending tone. Not sure why, but he felt compelled to tell me how long he had been a bike mechanic, how they only sell high quality products, that I shouldn't try to install parts myself, blah blah blah. If your staff isn't interested in answering a couple of questions regarding service issues, don't expect customers to buy your products or pay for your services. read more

As I read all the reviews I can see that they may have some validity but have also failed to mention the importance of the experience all around... I called them because they were a shop that was open and their prices seemed to be reasonable... they have from what I understand from when I went into the shop a consumer base of 90% online and 10% in person/walk-in. Which leads me to understand why their Re soo many comments about people's feel good being hurt because someone didn't get the "used car salesman" sleazy tactics. I however understand and sympathize with Bayside performance because I Tok operate a very basic Web site and store and do not have a single enough people to work and be constantly checking on updates and orders for every individual customer I have. I don't even get to talk with friends anymore or family. A that being said. I called holeshot for some pads for my 690 Duke and had them quote me 90 bucks and these were for normal not hh pads. And it would be a special order item that would take 5 business days to get there from the time I gave the deposit. So I called Bayside who had a better pad in Stock ( hh ) and we're about 50% the price of holeshot... I will like to say the the location is easily accessible to get to and it was very nice to see some real 2 wheel enthusiasts and not some uniformed putz making you feel like a looser for not trading in your bike you have currently for a down payment on a new bike when all u need is a part for it. Last week I had some time to kill before work so I decided to pop in to see if they had anything I needed, preferably a jacket. Jason was helpful and patient in answering my questions, thanks to him I picked out a perfect jacket. After a bad experience with another local shop I have become leery of shops taking advantage of a female rider but this place quickly squashed that fear. I like to stick to good places so I plan to visit this place plenty in the near future. Thanks again bayside and Jason especially :) ps. Having read some of the other reviewers' negative experiences on Yelp, I want to be clear that mine has been very good. I hope those who weren't happy can give them another chance - I'm sure Bayside would like to make things better for them, if possible. Anyway, I went to Bayside to purchase some boots and a jacket since I didn't really want to order online from an American site (customs, shipping, etc. usually inflates the price you think you're paying, often by a lot). I did shop around Vancouver and no one else could get the items I wanted as quickly or for as good a price - In my opinion that speaks volumes. The staff were very helpful in throughout the process. They took the time to talk to me about what I wanted, even going so far as to recommend different boots than I initially came in for - full length vs. short. Their suggestion turned out to be 100% correct and I'm glad I took their advice. I did get the exact jacket I wanted and it's been perfect. I was told by the staff that it was a good choice and it has turned out to be exactly that. It took about 10 days for my items to come in, which was explained to me before purchase and I felt was acceptable. I checked in a couple of times to see the progress on my order and they updated me accordingly - I knew exactly what was happening with my stuff. I'm sure if I had needed a rush on the items, they would have tried to work something out to make that happen. Having said that, Bayside isn't a full retail environment like some of the large dealerships in Vancouver, they're a specialized shop and the experience with them should be understood as such. In my opinion they will go the extra mile to get you the items you need, not sell you a bunch of stuff you don't, and frankly, that's refreshing. I can't really comment on the shop work there as my bike is about 30 years older than what they normally work on ('74 CB550), but I did get a tour of the back and was very impressed with the layout and the cleanliness of the work area. The mechanics were friendly, open and clearly knew what they were doing. If you have a late model sport bike that needs work, I'm sure you'll be in good hands. I felt that I was being treated honestly and fairly as a rider, not just another customer. All in all, I would definitely recommend Bayside Performance... When I need to, I'll be back for sure. read more

I bought tires from this place and got pretty good service. But then on Sept 21 2017, I got framesliders installed. The ones where you need to cut holes in the fairing. I didn't notice until I winterized my motorcycle and changed the oil that there was a crack in the fairing from where the hole was cut. Emailed Kevin and he said the fairings weren't stock and any slight vibration could crack it. Then he said I should take it to a shop and they could fix that. Firstly, stock or not, maybe they should've warned me that the holes would be close and take accountability for it. Secondly, recognize that I was a returning customer and not a one time passerby. Will never shop here again. Better stores out there with better service. read more

Not many people grasp that these are parts coming from Italy and various countries at a low volume with high wait times. I highly recommend Canadian riders to check out the online store. I'm from Toronto and have spent the last year or so trying to source a Y-pipe for my 2016 R1 at a good price. I came across Bayside and literally saved hundreds compared to all other options I could find locally and online. Besides the Arrow exhaust, I have since bought a bunch of other hard to find parts such as a number of Lightech products. The prices have been fair and comparable to what you can find in the US. I say it's worth checking out for Canadians not only for fair prices but ordering from Bayside I didn't have to pay any customs/import fees, duties or BS "brokerage fees". Just standard Canada Post prices and I was provided with tracking information. Plus I only had to pay the GST because I ordered out or province. Throughout my transactions I've had consistent communications with customer support, and I've had nothing but pleasant experiences dealing with this business. read more

Ordered an Arrow GP2 exhaust for my RSV4. Since the part comes directly from Italy and through a Us distributor it can take 2-4 weeks. Unfortunately the distributor wasn't able to come through (no fault of Bayside). Kevin was great with communication and offered to refund my purchase after it went over the expected delivery time. Refunded me within 24 hrs of asking. Good guy and would do business with again if I need more parts. read more

Absolutely one of the worst shops I've been to. Phoned and asked if they carried female motorbike jackets and they said "yes". I drove 30 mins across town and got there and there were only 2 in stock, only 2 - neither of which fit. They guy then said that it's winter so they don't have a lot of stock but seriously, if they only had two he should have "no" or "yes but only two". The guy was rude on top of it and he also said that they were only one of the shops left in the area so I wouldn't have better luck elsewhere so I should order a jacket through them. I wanted to go to a physical store to make sure the fit was right and if I had wanted to order something online, I would do it through an online site like RevZilla, versus going though Bayside as a middle-man and paying their mark-up. In fact, next time, since I don't have to put up with the attitude again, maybe that's exactly what I'll do. This is one place that deserves to close-up shop. Ridiculous. read more
