We just did the ropes course. Reasonably price. 3 levels of course. I actually liked the area where the adventure zone is...

Surprised by unplanned "incidentals hold" on my debit card that I hadn't allowed for on my limited…read morebudget (tied up $50/night). I ended up hoofing it instead of Uber-ing because of that. Breakfast made to order omelet was good. Everything else re: the complimentary breakfast was yuk like the complimentary evening snacks which was a bowl of Fritos, a bowl of mini pretzels, a bowl of generic nacho chips, salsa and a bowl of coke cheese. On the upside I can't complain about the complimentary drinks from 4pm-8pm. The rooms are arranged around a noisy indoor courtyard FYI. The front desk gives you a four digit code to unlock the beach access gate. The hotel has its own section on the beach but interlopers will set up in front of you if you rent a beach chair. The beach is a 3 minute walk past a street and a restaurant. You can rent a golf cart for $100/day thru their third party vendor Red Fish Rentals.

Upon arrival, we checked into the reception and, after showing ID, were assigned a room with two queen beds. The room was decent with 2 queen beds and an accessible sofa bed. However, the queen beds didn't feel like standard queen size. The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast buffet and offers made-to-order omelettes. The best part was the made-to-order option, where the chef prepared the omelettes exactly to the customer's specifications. The hotel also has a convenient private beach. You can easily access it using the gate code, and we all enjoyed spending time there. Embassy Suites was an excellent choice, offering good amenities including the private beach access.

We booked two different rooms based on what they had available. The first night we booked their…read moremost expensive room, the presidential suite and the second and third night we booked the queen Juliette balcony (as this was all they had). When we arrived, no one asked us if we needed help with our luggage. We made our way to the Presidential Suite and it was filthy. The room size was massive but they clearly never cleaned it well. The couches and carpet all stained, the vents had 1 inch layers of dust all over, the fan was covered in dust balls and dust layers, some vents were falling out of the ceiling with no screws, the tile floor cracked, carpet has nails popping through and there is dirt and dust all over the floors from not being vacuumed or cleaned. There was also a huge roach on the floor which didn't add for an additional touch. It's Florida so I'm trying to be accepting of palmetto roaches but it wasn't cool finding that on your already filthy $1000 room floor. We were incredibly disappointed. For over $1000 this is not what we expected. We did share this with management and our next two nights we were supposed to stay in the queen room, was then adjusted to the king room. While the king room was definitely much cleaner, this room was also hundreds of dollars less in value. It's just very disappointing to pay over $1000 to have a room you can't sit on the couch, or walk the floors without your feet covered. Aside from the room, we also had a pretty awful breakfast experience. Eggs cold, and my husband's avacado toast was missing the egg. We sent it back and it was fixed but that lost our trust in the restaurant so we ate out instead. Our experience with the rental chairs on the beach was not good the first day either. The guy told us there were chairs set up, we walked over and there wasn't. He didn't offer to add anymore, so my husband put ours out for us. We really felt they lacked the customer service feature here. This place lacked the prestige we hoped for and we decided we wouldn't return here again. While the sunset and sunrise are just breathtaking, the hospitality and attention to detail here is lacking and not for us at this price. It seems people have been coming here for so many years they have blinders up and are missing how much is falling through the cracks or even noticing any issue. We would not stay here again and definitely do not believe 4 stars is a true depiction of this place, it could use work and improvements.

This boutique hotel is straight up wonderful! It's intimate, with its own pool and restaurants…read more Even though it is not an all-inclusive, it sure gets close! There is a sweets suite that has granola bars, popcorn, soda, oranges and apples, goldfish, an ice and water machine, espresso machine (that also makes hot cocoa), and ice cream bars! No need to pack extra snacks for your little ones on this trip! The rooms are large and the balconies have a gorgeous view of the bluest turquoise waters- it reminded me of being in the islands! The turndown service brings you fresh homemade cookies every night (so don't use your DND!). The staff onsite are super accommodating, the drinks at the bar are delicious, and the food is good as well. The pool drinks are more expensive if you go to the beach club next door. The pool area has a huge sunscreen dispenser (never seen one of these), ice water, fire pits (free to use). There is a tiny gym off the lobby (open 24/7). It has one treadmill, one elliptical, free weights, one bench, on pulley system and a Lululemon mirror thing. No one seemed to use it, so that was nice. The beach is powdered sugar soft a the ocean is clear and calm. It was an OASIS! The only surprise is that there isn't any drink service. Luckily the pool bar wasn't too far away. There is a free trolley you can take to other pools like the Watercolor Club (for kids), and other locations. There are some eateries within walking distance (however not a ton). The whole town is walkable and bike friendly. If you're a runner, there's a paved walkway that goes alongside the main road for miles and miles. I stuck to the trails behind the houses and loved it! It was secluded and woodsy, and yet I still saw houses so it didn't feel unsafe. This was probably one of the best vacations I've been on- it felt foreign but was stateside. Everyone enjoyed it- myself, my husband, our toddler, and my older in-laws. It's worth every penny! And bonus: the AC works amazingly! You can have a cold room and the ceiling fan makes it even better! The housekeeping was also phenomenal! Everyone was friendly and did such a great job! They gave us more shampoo, etc without us even having to ask. My only cons- I wish the free bike rental had helmets. I don't trust drivers when I have a little one to take care of, and the pool pump was loud so we couldn't really hear the ocean from the balcony, but not a deal killer.
