One of the nicer courses we played in the Cocoa Beach area in January. The fairways were actually green. The first few greens were in quite bad shape but they got much better as we went on. I played the reds which were very short, just under 4700 yds. There is water throughout the course but it didn't seem to be a major factor except on the last hole. I lost a few balls in the woods on many of the fairways. The signature hole 18 was cool with a nearly island green. Carts were a bit old but they did have GPS. Driving range was nice and we could hit off grass. Staff was very helpful. The starter gave me a course booklet which was super helpful to know how to play the holes. Play was a bit slow but we enjoyed this course and will probably play again during our stay in Cocoa Beach. read more

First time visiting Melbourne and wanted to get some golf in. Booked a 9:07 tee time for 18 and a cart. The pace of play was so slow, we ended up leaving after playing 8 holes in 2.5 hours. The pace we were at would've had us finishing 18 in 6 hours. We went into the clubhouse to explain how bad the pace of play was, and the man in the pro shop said "We sent someone out to deal with that". We mentioned that we were upset with what we paid for, and when we told him we were ending the round early, he said "I'm not forcing you guys to leave, you can go play holes 1-9 again". The customer service skills were unprofessional, at least show that you care about us leaving your course. Now I'm so sad I can't even go to the beach. Cmon man. read more

Played here on Sunday and booked a tee time for 2 players. Paid in person. The next day I was charged again for not showing up for the tee time. Turns out they double booked my tee time and they charged me for the second one. I call them and Ben the asst. manager refuses to refund the second charge even know it was an error on their end. He claims he "can't" refund it because it was done through the third part (even know I paid one in person) which anyone with half a brain knows this is false, he is refusing to do so. First and last time I'll play there and I will be disputing the unauthorized charge. I'd stay clear of this place, the course is not worth the money either. read more

Solid course, in decent shape in March '24. Several challenging dog-legs and there were some water hazards that kept you on your toes. Greens were in very good shape. Prices weren't bad, though we did incur a small charge for having a non-golfer ride with us. Maybe this is standard, but seemed odd to me?? No on-course beverage service on the Saturday we played, but what was really missing was a Marshall to keep the groups moving along (4 hrs 45 mins for our round). We had a group behind us and a group infront of us that treated us with utter disrespect. the people who work this course are nothing but nice and curious, lovely course. Fun golf course in excellent condition. It has many challenging holes, most with water somewhere. It has two holes that jump marshes, for red tee players these are 125 yds. The eighteenth acts like an island. Very scenic and pleasant. They have several value packages that help cut costs of playing. Nice pro shop. It's main defect for women is you wait until the 7th hole for a bathroom and the outhouse on the 14th is often locked. Most of the time people make do with dark forest spots on other courses but here the beautiful houses in the neighborhood are a golfers peekaboo nightmare. If play is quick which it can be this is not a problem. read more

Don't play here on Monday afternoons, never have carts available, and they pack the course as tight as possible with people. 2hrs 45mins to complete the front 9, stopped after hole 13 because 14 was backed up 4 groups deep at the tee box. No Marshall's in site, saw the cart girl once. The PDP program is to blame I'm sure of it, so check out Duran, Turtle Creek, or Viera East instead of Baytree. Fairways were absolute trash compared to the surrounding courses. Dead grass and bare dirt spots in the middle of the fairway. read more

I would give this place a zero, but the greens were ok, just ok. This golf course is obviously managed by management group that only interest in $$$. This was the best summer in years for Golf Courses in Brevard County, Florida, however this place is a complete "Goat Tract". I hit many more shots from dirt and mud than grass fairways and the rough was worse. Take a look at the pictures and you can clearly see. The cups looked like they had not been changed in days, (see picture with flag beside the hole). As a former PGA member I spoke to the Gen. Manager after the round and told him how disappointed we were with the condition of the course and he told me "you don't know what you are talking about, we are the best conditioned course in Brevard county". I can tell you, even the muni courses in Brevard County are 10 times better than this great layout, that has been totally raped by the managing group. Great place to play if you have 5 hours of time and don't mind standing around waiting an extra 45 minutes for your tee time because they gave away four tee times to the weekly shootout guys that "forgot" to make a tee time. Course gets 4 stars, customer service gets a 0. This happens every weekend, so not an aberration, just their way of treating a favored group over their own members. Play if you want BUT NEVER BECOME A MEMBER and pack a lunch and maybe dinner. It's that slow. read more

Let me start by saying that I live close to this course and therefore play it often, usually as a single and usually waiting behind other groups. Today is January 2, 2017 and I was off work. I went on GolfNow and saw an awesome 6:57 tee time that would allow me to get off the tee first as a single ahead of the twosomes, threesomes, and foursomes. I bought the tee time and showed at the course around 6:30. I paid and verified with the Pro Shop that I indeed had purchased the first tee time. For some reason, the cart barn was still locked up and they were having issues getting it open and carts distributed. While waiting for my cart, I talked with an older man who said his twosome was going to get off first. I told him I had bought the first tee time as a single. The cart attendant/starter distributed carts, and I verified with the starter that I would indeed start first; the starter asked those guys if I could play with them but they said no. The man I had spoken with raced with his buddy to the tee ahead of me. I called the Pro Shop and complained. Someone came out and talked with them but they still didn't let me play through, and the ranger didn't make them allow me through. The positive is that I still finished in 2.5 hours. The negative is that I would have been finished a lot sooner; I kept hitting extra balls to avoid them and I only caught up them with once on a par 5. Those two guys were totally entitled curmudgeons, and the golf course didn't do anything to help me retain the tee time I purchased. So just remember, your tee time here may not actually be your tee time because elitist "members" can shove you aside no matter what you bought on GolfNow. read more

None of us had played Baytree but based on the reviews we booked a foursome. Really glad we did as it was a great day on the course and in bar. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The range was full but were able to hit some balls just to the side of the roped area. The course conditions were much better than some off the nearby courses. The greens rolled true and were plush. The bunkers could use some work but we hope it is only because of COVID restrictions. The layout makes you think about each shot (buy the yardage book and USE it as there are a couple of risk/reward holes and some fairways that need to be hit on the left or right in order to avoid trouble. The pace of play was under four hours without being pushed. They do have Marshalls on the course which helps. There is a full service bar that offers hotdogs and burgers. I would definitely play it again and recommend to others in Central Florida. read more

Hi, been playing Baytree since I moved here 03, 20 yrs....I play all around Brevard public and some private....I'm a 7 index, decent player and I couldn't get the ball airborne there... ?! Razor thin, bare, brown, bone dry, BURNT fairways...they said it was a frost burn, but we played Duran, PAFB, Habitat same week, none were ugly insulting unplayable as Baytree ? Great layout, nice greens, BUT DO not go there until fairways are GREEN, not burnt dead brown... insulting. read more

Course staff were wonderful. Nice location great people. Course was recently mowed and some holes were getting some help with the recent rains. Look forward to returning when work is completed. Many fairways had huge clumps of grass and were too high making many holes unplayable. read more

JUST SKIP IT!! IT HAPPENED AGAIN!! Let me start by saying that this course is a great layout and should be one of the top courses to play in Brevard County. I have worked as a club professional, and I am a resident in the area and live right around the corner from the course; so, I feel I am more than qualified to critique Baytree National an it's staff. Two weeks ago I booked a tee time online at 12:30 during the week. When I showed up they had run out of carts. No problem, I was a half an hour early as usual for a good warm up. I check in and humped my bag to the starter shed to check with him an get a basket of balls. There were quite a few people warming up and hanging around the practice area. I never gave it a second thought. These are professionals, and I was certain they had a plan. ;) I finished my warm up, and while putting I watched as the numbers of paid customers with tee times piled up. I knew at that point it was time to check and see if there was going to be a cart for me and my group. It was now time to tee it up, and to my surprise, no carts. The first tee was visible and no groups had teed off for some time now. "Yes sir as soon as we have carts for the five foursomes ahead of you, your group will be next," said the stater. I said, "FIVE GROUPS!" I guess it goes without saying that I was not happy. We eventually teed off 1 1/2 hours after our booked and paid for tee time. UNACCEPTABLE!! Because of the long wait between groups, the pace of play was great until the 6th hole where play can to a screeching hault! To our surprise, there were 4 groups on the next hole, then there were 5 groups on the next 3 holes 7-9. It took us 1.5 hours to play those 3 holes. At this point it was 4:30 PM and gets dark at 5:45 or so. At this pace there was NO way we would finish the round. Instead of quitting we played the front 9 again and finished at dark when we should have been able to finish by 4:30-5 even on a busy day. It was NOT worth the $42.00 each we paid only to play the front nine twice in 5.25 hours. IT HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY!!! I guess there are no good days worth playing here!! I'm not sure I will ever play here again - unless of course IT IS FREE!! My recommendation is to play any of the other local courses around Baytree. Just skip it! There is another course just down the road 10 min called Duran Golf Club. They don't run out of carts, and you will make your tee time. Try Viera East Golf Club or Turtle Creek even, two other local courses. read more

Pretty solid course. I can probably best describe it as "it is what it is, and it doesn't try to be too much". It's a Florida course that has water, sand, palms, and pretty good greens. Backs up to over 7,000 but it doesn't feel that long. Fairways are usually firm but not rock hard. It will give you the extra ten yards of bounce and roll but nothing outlandish. It is a Gary Player design but after that nothing that exhilarating about it. 18 is a pretty cool hole where there is a dogleg left where you can cut off as much as you want to gamble as the hole narrows towards the green. The green is perched above water to the left and behind it, with a sand trap on the right. A fair test of golf but nothing overly difficult. The price was pretty good via an Internet special. This course is ran by an incompetent bunch of hooligans. They are text book for why public golf courses have the stigma they have. Every single time I am there, they have inconsistent groups on the course and it is always a 5+ hour round, minimum. Waiting every hole, no methodical approach to How the day on the course should flow. It's just a very juvenile and trashy way to run a club -- my last day there and I will never go back - I made a tee time for me and my son, I show up early, no carts available, 30-45 minutes later A cart finally shows up, I go to the starter, who then proceeds to tell me I am late to my tee time by 8 minutes, groups are already out, and he can't send me out -- wouldn't even try ... it's just mind blowing how they could operate this way. So I left, refunded my money, cancelled my little membership there and I hope they come under new management soon and get that course and their operations together. Great layout and doing a great job on course condition. As a member there are non members who have more rights on weekends. Allow the shoot out weekend group to allow players without tee times to come in and bump members tees times. Last several weeks have been delayed up to 50 minutes. We had a threesome playing 19 going out at 8:00 and we had a twosome playing 9. They were so accommodating about allowing us to play so we could finish close to each other. Bud was particularly nice to us. Liked the course. We are used to the flat courses in southern Florida so this was more interesting. The course is in decent condition and while there is water, it did not cross the course too often and rarely interfered with our play. We were concerned that the price was so low that it would not be well kept up, but we were pleasantly surprised. Would play there again if we were in the area. read more

There were so many wild life on the course. I was happy to encounter an alligator at 18th, a big turtle by the first, and many birds along the way. Staff was very friendly. The course was fun. But the condition of the course was not very good comparing with the other two we played in the same week, in the same area. Maybe the course could provide a good reason for the not so good condition in the winter time. read more

Played the course April 6, 2018. We are year round Flordia residents and know it is the dry season. Course was extremely bad. Only live grass was on the greens, rest of it looked dry and brown. After our round we were told the main water pump broke 2-3 weeks ago and they have been unable to water. I understand things happen, but we should have been told in advance. I questioned the rate which was still $50 and was told because of the conditions it was ten dollars lower. We play two different courses every week rates have all gone down lower than this with better conditions. Before you go find out if it has improved. Very bad experience. read more

Played here about ten days ago for the first time in years. We always play a bunch of golf during the week long family reunion at Satellite Beach. This was the first of three rounds that I played this year. The course was in nice shape and the facilities are nice as well. It's not the best of the best or as good as it gets but I am definitely a fan. The practice putting green and driving range are great for warming up and the starter was really nice. The greens out on the course were decent and the overall conditions were solid especially considering the time of year. We had a good experience and would recommend this golf course to any golfer regardless of skill level. read more

We expected so much more from Baytree National and were extremely disappointed from our arrival on to the golf course. The pro shop attendant didn't appear to know what to do with the voucher we had from out travel package company who recommended Baytree as one of their most widely suggested and played courses. After that from the first hole to the last, the course was in very poor condition. The tee boxes were chewed up well beyond any normal amount I have seen in quite some time. Also, the greens were pretty rough and not really smooth and at this time in Florida the course should be somewhat green and it wasn't at all. We had heard good things about Baytree but none of our expectations were met. read more

We booked (on GolfNow app) a 2pm tee time for $21 per person = (2 players/18holes + cart included) =$42 total plus taxes. The young man running the shop charged us $26 per person + the extra taxes. I didn't realize this until looking at the receipt while on the 1st hole playing (waiting on the group in front of us and people behind us), I figured It shouldn't matter right at the moment and that we would simply stop in at the clubhouse and settle up the bill when we finished playing. No harm no foul. This was not the case. I clearly displayed my GolfNow app screen with the $21 fees and totals listed to young man at the pro shop, & he even admitted to it saying he saw it on the pro shop computer screen that it was $21 not $26, but still somehow it was not his or the pro shop's computer or their problem, but that it was GolfNow's fault and that I myself should be the one responsible to "call" GolfNow and "work it out with them"! This went back and forth as I even offered to the young man that I woluld accept a hat in place of the $10, was rudely told to go out in the parking lot (since I had no reception inside) to make a call to GolfNow and "handle it with them & have them call the pro shop to settle"! Shouldn't he be doing that for me and give my refund and send me on my way??!! What ever happened to the customer is always right motto for business?!?!? My friends/family and I won't be back to BayTree. Too bad for baytree as we planned to play here all weekend thru Monday! Not now... young douchebag should be fired for the ill treatment of a customer including overcharging and denying proper due refund. read more

Save your money now. This course is in horrible condition and the management seems unwilling to change that. The bar staff is friendly and the only good thing about the course. Don't go, go ANY where else. Baytree isn't what it use to be and it doesn't deserve revenue, until they make a valid attempt to change course conditions. read more

Went to the driving range here...only my 2nd time EVER hitting golf balls! Was really nice :) Can't beat such convenience, beautiful grounds & prices! May just become a golfer now that I live in Florida :) read more
