There is a lot going on here. Two 18 hole golf courses, animals, go carts, .... We played one course then went back to pay only $5 to play the second course. Lots of fun obstacles and interesting props along the way. The gators were swimming around and were fun to watch. A couple of holes had a wheel to spin to bring some fun, new challenges to your group. We went around 3pm and flew through the course. No waiting which was great. Staff was helpful and very friendly. Great stop.

Super friendly staff like Kim! There's video games and go karts and mining for gold and golf and gift shop, etc. etc. etc.. We host a yearly holiday event here and it's always a lot of fun.

A must visit when you are in the area! Mini golf, go-karts, gem mining and gators all in one place. There are two courses available to play which is great because this place gets busy. You can feed the gators for $5 or take a picture with one for as little as $13

Reasonable prices for a family-friendly or date activity. $10-15/per person for mini-golf. Groupon promo was available during my visit (Mini-golf for 2 both courses with hotdog/ice cream $23) They have two 18-hole mini-golf courses, a small zoo, mining, go-karts, & arcade. I did not do the go-karts or arcade. There are food & beverages, souvenirs, & merch available for purchase. Alcohol is also available. Gator mountain is the more challenging course. Swamp Cave is more relaxed. Both are fun to do! Took about 2 hrs to do both. We had to wait a bit during Gator Mountain since there were people ahead of us, but not at all for Swamp Cave. The small zoo has birds, snakes, spiders, lizards, scorpions, & baby gators. There was also a tortoise. You can feed the gators (from a safe distance) & pay to take a photo with them.

worst golf in the area 0/10 would not recommend. Greens suck. Very dirty. Bad experience

Me and boyfriend decided to stop in, as we love mini golfing everywhere we go and loved the concept of this place. I was very excited to see the gators, they had a pond full of them. They even offer gator feeding and an opportunity to hold a gator and get your picture taken with it, for an up charge. We didn't do either since we didn't want to spend the extra money, but would be a great experience for young ones. We did two rounds, one on each of their courses. They have an easy and hard course, both of which were challenging, fun, and entertaining. Throughout the courses they have different reptiles and animals for you to see. They also have a go cart track, but we didn't do that. It looked very fun though and we could see some of the riders racing while we were golfing! Very fun.

I'm always pretty skeptical of these types of places but I actually ended up having a lot of fun. The go carts were amazing; kind of expensive but exciting. The arcade was pretty limited but it kept my kids busy for a little while. The mini golf course was very cool; a lot of fun obstacles squeezed into what doesn't look like a lot of space. If you're in the area on vacation this is a great way to spend an evening

It was an OK place. It cost about $60 for three of us (2 adults and 1 child) to ride one go-kart ride and one round of mini golf. The place was clean and everyone that worked there was very nice! Go Karts - it is setup like a Mario Kart rice. There are little stickers/monitors on the road that you can collect coins or things to slow other drivers down. I wish the cost included more that one ride - the go-karts were pretty empty so we raced against ourselves. I'm sure if they allowed more than one ride per person more people would ride which would be a more exciting rice.

Golf N Gator is a fun place for the whole family. We went around 8 on a Friday night and it was packed. We did the go kart & golf package and started at the go karts. It was about a 30 minute wait but we all really enjoyed the track which reminded me of Mario kart in real life!! We headed to golf after and waited for each hole. By the time we got to the 8th hole, there were 4 groups waiting to play the 9th/10th hole. It got really backed up. The group in front of us left and we waited about 10 minutes but the people in front of us were moving SLOW so we decided to head out as it was already around 9:30 and we were all hungry for dinner. At that point there were 2 families waiting behind us for the same hole so it was bad. We just backtracked and returned our balls and clubs in the big bucket. We had fun but weren't going to stand around and wait. There are many cool animals (snakes, spiders, alligators) to look at even before you golf. We didn't see everything because we didn't finish the course. I think they could do a better job of breaking up the groups or even having a timer per hole during busy times or limiting group size/amount of people on course at one time.

This is not a huge zoo, but it has all the animals you'd hope to see and more. It was an extremely hot day, but we were able to find plenty of pockets of shade and rest areas to cool down. My son is only 2, but he loved seeing all the animals, the interactive kids stations, games, and puppet show. Pretty sure he like the puppet giraffe more than the real giraffes, but hey, he was entertained. Speaking of giraffes... they have a giraffe encounter where you can actually purchase the food and hand feed them. They come right up to you and it's such a cool experience. We happened to visit during Bear Week, so there were some extra black bear demonstrations, kids crafts, and bear themed activities happening throughout the day. Some other animals we saw that day were bobcat, jaguar, lions, flamingos, wild turkey, ostriches, rhino, kangaroos, meerkats, otters, antelopes, boar, snakes, and many more. I did not realize before visiting that they have an entire water play/splash pad areas for the kids and it's such a perfect way to cool down when it's so hot outside. I wish I had packed my son's bathing suit and a towel, but now I know for next time. We'll definitely go back as my son gets older! We were there for about 3 hours and it was enough time to stroll through all the exhibits and have lunch. You could definitely stay longer if you choose to participate in some other activities like the Treetop Trek ropes course, train ride, kayaking, or the different animal encounters which are an added fee.

First the safari - You drive your own car through this safari and in our experience, you really don't have to worry about damage to your vehicle. There are so many animals, many species that I didn't recognize. When we entered the safari, we were given a booklet that had photos and brief descriptions of all of the animals, and that was a huge help in identifying what we were viewing. I loved that we could go at our own pace and there were plenty of pull-offs for us to use if the vehicles behind us wanted to travel more quickly. The animals trulya re right in front of you - most are wandering freely without cages, fences, or other barriers, and at times we had to stop to let animals cross the road in front of our car! At the end of the safari, there is a place where you can park your car and go up to a platform to feed the giraffes ($5 per person). We did it and it was so much fun to get to see the giraffes so close and have them take food right from our hands. We enjoyed the safari so much that we went through it again after touring the gator park. The gator park was super fun as well, and there are so many animals other than gators, too! We enjoyed the gator feeding. It was fascinating to watch them eat chicken meat off of a hanging line, and the commentary provided by the show's host was very informative. We also enjoyed holding a baby alligator and getting a digital photo. My 17 year old daughter loved the add on of the lemur experience. She, along with about 6 other guests, got to go inside a room next to the lemur exhibit and interact & feed a lemur. She truly loved this experience and it was definitely worth the added cost. We spent about 5 hours here and could easily have spend an hour or two more. Check Groupon for discounts on tickets and enjoy seeing all of the animals at Wild Florida!

We got to see a lot of fish and native Florida wildlife! There were a lot of walking trails, kayak/canoe launches, and tons of information posted around about native Florida habitats! There was also a play area for kids as well. We spent a lot of the time in the aquarium room (and yes it's a room not a super huge space) since it was air conditioned and our daughter really enjoys seeing the fish. They have a touch tank that's open for a few hours throughout the day, but we noticed that if the tank isn't open, there was no staff in the space. The facilities seemed a bit older but overall well maintained. There were summer camps going on while we were there, and felt like they sort of overtook some of the spaces we were in from time to time. Not a super huge deal as we were able to go explore other parts but it did feel somewhat chaotic as a large group of 8 year olds ran into the area. You do have to pay admission, there is a pass available as well if you plan to visit more than once. Parking was not plentiful so be mindful when planing, to come early or during a more "off" time. Overall this was a neat place to go to if you enjoy learning about Florida wildlife and nature.

This place is one of those hidden little Treasure Coast gems that almost hides in plain sight. The boardwalk trails through the mangroves were peaceful, scenic, and surprisingly immersive. Every turn felt like a mini nature documentary. Within a short walk I spotted a ribbon snake cruising through the water, an orb-weaver spider that looked like it came straight out of a sci-fi movie, and plenty of birds and wildlife along the way. Bring a camera because you'll use it. Bonus points for the rare opportunity to admire a spider web without immediately walking face first into it. The grounds are well maintained, educational without feeling overly touristy, and just plain relaxing. There's a nice balance between nature preserve, learning experience, and quiet escape from the everyday rush. Also appreciated that you can spend 30 minutes here or easily lose a couple of hours wandering the trails and slowing your brain down a notch. We didn't try the kayak rental this time but made a mental note for the future. If you live in or visit Vero Beach and enjoy nature, photography, kayaking, wildlife, or just finding peaceful spots that don't involve crowds and traffic, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

Well look no further than LaPorte Farms. Located in the Roseland area of the Treasure Coast which meets up with the southern most point of the Space Coast, LaPorte Farms (which I will shorthand to LaPorte) is an open farm consisting of a wide array of animals to see and activities to do. Designed in which everything can be seen or experience in one or two hours tops sans any major events, LaPorte is both entertaining and educational, especially for children. Starting with the animals, there are plenty of pens and large birdcage enclosures featuring many kinds of animals of both domestic farm life and... well... more "exotic" farm life. They have horses, chickens, and pigs, but also have llamas, turtles, bearded lizard, and lemurs. To add to the fun, they have named some of their animals as seen on their "Critters" Tab on their official website. Next, the activities are catered towards children and overall family experience. On site, there is a little library where you can "leave a book, take a book." This is definitely an excellent way to prepare for the Reading Challenge LaPorte hosts. Plenty of photo opportunities to be made which includes photography props including a face-cutout picture board and a "jailhouse." There is a section for little kids to ride spring rocking horses, which is a toy I haven't seen in ages. Finally off the top of my head, there are also pony rides and train rides for $5.00 per kid to partake in. Outside of the basic on site activities, LaPorte hosts many events including fishing tournaments and summer camps. They are often active in their community via their non-profit, Friends of LaPorte Farms. As a matter of fact, as of the publication of this review, LaPorte recently won the business of the month given to them by the Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce. Finally, the main house, sells food, drink, and gifts. Guests can buy packets of food to feed the critters on the farm (no outside food please), packages of eggs laid from their hens, and even honey and soap from other local businesses LaPorte are friends with. The two unique "events" the main house has is the Reading Challenge in which families can sign up their kids to partake in, and the "Pray for the Troops" box filled with toy soldiers. Overall, LaPorte is a very fun place to visit with the family. I expect such a place would be interesting to see during certain holidays such as 4th of July and Christmas. Gives reason to return for guests. For now, giving LaPorte four out of five stars. Everything is excellent, but the fifth star shall be earned if LaPorte is consistent. P.S. - LaPorte Farms is one of the locations to visit in the Treasure Coast Kids Quest for Indian River County. Families can go to the official website and/or obtain a passport from the main house at LaPorte or the Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce. At each location, passholders have to complete a task or mission. At LaPorte, you need to take a picture with Baby Girl the zebra.
