We had a black chain link fence installed at our beach home in Supply, NC and were pleased with the ease of placing the order, the delivery and installation time and the professional hard working crew that arrived ear morning and worked all day taking their time to insure everything was installed correctly. I can't remember the crew foreman's name (the one with the long ponytail) but he took extra effort in seeing that the installation was done right. If he wasn't pleased with how one worker did something then he personally corrected the situation while giving instructions on the proper way to correctly install. He made sure to inspect everything and to make sure I was pleased with the job before he left. Any problems found to simply call the company and he would return. After waiting 5 months from the time we signed the contract and gave Bayview a 50% deposit for our fence, the installation finally was completed last week. We understood that there have been material shortages, so we were patient. The installation was completed in one day. My husband asked the installers about how they would work around the sprinklers in the irrigation system. He was told "not to worry"...that if they hit one they would repair it. Unfortunately, they did hit one but we did not discover this until a few days later. My husband contacted Bayview and was told that since it was not noted on the day of the installation that it was our responsibility and they would not send anyone out to repair it...that we should call a plumber. Granted...it should have been checked prior to the installers leaving, however it was inadvertent and they should have asked us to check the system that day. This is very poor customer service and while we would have recommended Bayview to friends and neighbors based on the quality of the work, we definitely will not being doing so now. read more

It's difficult to say what sort of service Is actually provided. I asked them to stop by and give us an estimate for some fencing. This was done pretty quickly. I called a couple days later to get the process underway. I was told that I would be contacted ASAP. A week went by with no call. I called again, thinking that there may have been a glitch in the communication (wrong number, lost note, etc). Again, I was told that I would get a call later that day. This time two weeks went by with no call back. I called twice more over the next two weeks, both times assured that I would get a return call. Nothing. Very disappointing. I ended up going with another fencing contractor, who actually returned my call and seems interested in doing the work. I don't believe I'll bother contacting Bayview in the future. I'll give them one star for their estimation process. That was done pretty well. read more

Bayview Fence has the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I called and asked for someone to come to our house and look at our fence that needed to be repaired. I was told by the woman who answered the phone that the sales manager was out of the office at that time but she would have him call me when he returned. One week later I still hadn't heard from him so I called again. The same woman took my information again and said "let me see if I can get him to come out there and take a look at it". It is five days later and still no phone call, no visit, no nothing. If they're too busy to want or need my business, they should at least have the courtesy to call and say so. There are plenty of other fence companies out there and eventually Bayview's poor customer service and rudeness will catch up with them. read more

I visited them 4 weeks ago, asked for a quote for a 4 ' aluminum stair rail.....very small but easy job. Left a sketch and contact info. No call. Two weeks later went back again and requested same thing. Same office lady said she would pass info on again for my quote......2 more weeks gone by, no call or quote. Bayview came out and gave me a price, it was a great price but I told them I had to get the HOA approval first, they said thats fine let them know , got the approval 3 weeks later and called Bayview to come out and go thru what we agreed on and nothing had changed, must say they are great, a hand shake was as good as gold, they said they would install the fence within 9 days and the 7th day they come out and installed it , they did a beautiful job, I'm in my 70s an its been a long time since I seen a hand shake was a contract, great people fred read more

Totally unreliable. Estimator showed up over 1 hour late for appointment...claimed he failed to properly record time. Called on 9/27 to advise we wished to order and proceed . Was told they would call on 9/28 to finalize and as of 10/2 they have never called. Poor business practices and I will never do business with them!!!! read more

We spent $5,000 on fence from this place when we built our house a year ago. Everything was fine. Due to lack of support installed on our double gate, the wind blows it open and broke a section of the fence/gate last week. We took it to them to repair/replace the small broken piece. The owner agreed to fix it for $150 if we paid cash, which we thought was high, but agreed. When my husband went to pick it up, the owner handed him the hinges in a bag for him to come home & figure out how to finish putting a 6' gate together while holding it up. Then my husband asked for an extra metal rod to put in the ground for additional support on the 2nd gate to prevent this from happening again. The owner said he'd sell us a metal stick for another $30 cash and argued that there was a sturdy full length metal support on our gate, which does not exist. The owner was rude, very unhelpful, and obviously just trying to make a lot of money. The place was dirty and smokey. We will never use this place again or recommend them ever! read more
