Melissa has been the florist at Bayview Florist in Massapequa NY on Sunrise Blvd. for15 years. She made a bright arrangement this morning with a rope bow on the vase. ( see pix) she noted me by name upon leaving. In the large store are many paraphernalia and items for sale with entire displays for rent. In the back is a rack of many ribbons. To the side is a rack of cards for purchase and also, the smaller note cards which can be added into the arranges. One shadow box has a flower bouquet noting they can preserve them. Lots of worded signs and some angels to choose from which could be added to a gift as well. read more

we just had my daughters communion on Saturday May 3rd and Melissa was so sweet to work with. I was last minute in booking flowers but she was so accommodating. What a lovely shop. We had to get floral arrangements last minute fir my mother's funeral and we were turned away from the 1st shop we visited as they were "too busy" (well excuse me!) and came to Bayview Florist on a recommendation. The entire staff were so helpful and friendly. We described mom and her likes and the first bunch of sample flowers they brought out were perfect! This place is kind of creepy to be honest with you. I stopped in quickly last night with my boyfriend to get a bouquet of flowers for his mother. We walked in and I could not even tell that they sold flowers. It should be considered a gift shop that has some flowers, because we didn't notice the flowers for a few moments. They have an eclectic mix of crap you'd see at a weird old lady's house. It was all so random! I know we arrived right before the store was closing (which is totally not my style, but we were in a bind!) They were cleaning up and kind of disregarded us for a few moments. I asked the woman who finally acknowledged me for a mixed bouquet of flowers. She then proceeded to ask my price point. I asked her to stay closer to $35. She went to work and we looked around. Prices for the odds and ends were more than I would have expected. Also, the store looked like it was kind of in shambles. But we were there around closing time, so that might be part of the reason. The flowers ended up costing me closer to $45. They were beautiful and appreciated of course, but I don't necessarily think they were worth the money I spent on them. read more

This florist has great employees friendly and nice that's why I gave 2 stars but the last few times my husband has bought me flowers here they have died 2-3day later. I constantly cut stems and use the plant food they provide and the flowers always end up dead in days! I just can't believe that an $80.00 bouquet of flowers can die in 2-3 days it's crazy!! My roses from Costco last 2 weeks with my up-keep. Just disappointed :( peonies are my favorite flowers so I get them all the time from other florist or pick them from my moms garden and put them in a vase. They always last longer then the ones Bayview just put in my bouquet; its like they sold my husband dying flowers for $80.00 ugh read more

I'm so outrage, I don't know where to begin! This place is a rip-off, don't use them. I wanted to send a beautiful floral arrangement to my sister for her 60th birthday. I called Bayview and placede my order; told the lady what I want and she suggested a $60 will do. I also told the lady it's for my sister's big 60th birthday and it needed to be deliver in the morning because they will go out in the afternoon. On the day of the delivery... First of all, they didn't show up to the house until 10 minutes to 5:00 pm, found no one answer the door (of course), then called me and told me that they would have to come back tomorrow. I told them they screwed it up. The reply was "I'm sorry, we have to come back out tomorrow." Secondly, when they finally delivered the flowers "the day after my sister's birthday", there were only less than 8 flimsy stems of flowers and they are in a vase not a beautiful arrangement in the basket as promised. Really? One mistake after another? Oh, I was so upset and called the store to tell them about my disappointment; first with the delayed delivery, and then the flowers setting. A man told me the owner of the store would call me back...it's been 7 days as of today (01/28/16). I haven't heard from either the owner or anyone from Bayview Florist. read more

How can my anniversary or my girlfriends birthday get any better. Its simple with the rose's I get from bayview. I always forget the name of the special arrangement I get for her but its unique to bayview and includes them taking a dozen beautiful roses and turning over the first few petals and then glossing a diamond type dust unto the arrangement. It turns rose's even more beautiful and not only is it classy but it shows that you put a little extra effort into the traditional showing of love to your favorite person. Gia and the rest of the great staff take real time to make sure you are happy with everything you leave with and you will never leave unhappy. I know I haven't. Even when I wasn't able to get to the shop to pick up my order they got me a courier service to pick up and drop off my flowers all the way to queens within a few hours. I have used many florists in the past and this one is bar none the best one on long island and I will use them exclusively from now on. read more

Great flowers and great service! Had flowers delivered from here yesterday. Not only were they impeccable but the recipient was not home at time of delivery and it was a hot day in the 90's. The gentleman delivering the flowers actually called me around 10:30am explaining to me that the flowers would wilt in the heat and it would be best if he came back at a later time when recipient was home. He went out for a second delivery just to deliver the flowers again at 2:00. This should go to show you they are devoted to there customers and there customer service. Last week I bought flowers for my daughter for her eighth grade graduation. I ordered from Bayview Florist in Massapequa Park like I always do. As usual they made a beautiful bouquet for her. Topping it off with glitter and a pretty little butterfly. I love it when they put something on the flowers because it leaves a nice little keepsake for her. I remember at one of her recitals they put this little ballerina that she still has 8 years later. It's some thing to remember the day and remember the flowers. When we got home after graduation she took the little butterfly off so she could save it. Then we put the flowers on the kitchen table. A week later they still look just as beautiful as they did on that day. I'm sure this is nothing new. The flowers are always fresh and beautiful from Bayview. That's why I'm a repeat customer. But, I was recently sick with covid and have limited energy right now so I've spent a lot of time sitting in the kitchen with these beautiful flowers right in front of me. Thank you Bayview for brightening my daughters graduation and my recovery from covid. If anyone is looking for a great florist, look no further. They are amazing! Ordered flowers for my husbands birthday party to be delivered and set up at a restaurant. The flowers were nice but the delivery was poor. The delivery guy just dumped everything off and did not set up the arrangemnents as ordered. Also on the way out the delivery guy was arguing with the restaurant staff. Two days later we went in to Bayveiw florist talk to Lorraine who placed our order, she was in the back and would not come out to talk to us, she sent out another worked to tell us that she would call us later. Well, we are still waiting for Lorraine to call us...now it is 2 days later. And Lorraine charged us $100.00 for the delivery and set up,which myself and my daughter had to set up at the restaurant ourselves all dressed up. Don't waste your time!! I've gone to this place many times to buy arrangements but will never go back! The management is rude and irresponsible. I placed an order online for flowers to be sent to someone going to the hospital the next day. The order went through and I was sent a confirmation. Nineteen hours later, the next day at 1230pm I got a call from an employee saying "sorry, your order isn't enough to deliver to that area (but the website accepted the zip code and charged $10 for the delivery) and we already sent someone out in that direction today so we're not going to deliver anything today even if you pay more." The employee said that they only received my order now even though I'd placed it almost a full day before because "that's the system." I said that was on them, that tthe "system" shouldn't have confirmed the delivery. He put on his boss who just said they didn't charge my credit card so there's no order. They offered nothing - no solution. Just basically, we can't/won't deliver your flowers and we don't care that you've lost almost an entire day because we confirmed your order incorrectly. F-U. Small businesses should treat their customers better. read more
