Service, value? Overall - 4 stars to the florist; 5 stars to the young man who delivered the flowers. I hope you tipped him on my behalf. Ordered flowers over the phone to be delivered locally on the same day. Delivery guy called to say flowers delivered to a coworker but nobody answered the doorbell altho' he heard dogs barking inside. That is an accountable young person and that's rare these days. Value, IDK - still waiting to be sent a pic of the arrangement by the florist (got the receipt and order confo but no pic)? I needed to send flowers to my cousin as it was the one year anniversary of her mother's passing. Calling from California, I reached out to Flower After Flower and spoke with a lovely and helpful Christine. Christine listened to my desire and also the type of floral arrangement I was looking for. Christine took her time with me and in a friendly and helpful manner, assisted me in discussing flower choices and greenery within the scope of my wishes. She had zero impatience. I also needed the flowers to be delivered early the next day which she assured me she would accomplish. Further, she even helped me to craft the card, working with me on word choices. How nice. I wanted a small variation after the shop was closed so I emailed and asked that purple be added to the arrangement since it was my cousin's favorite color. Surprisingly, Christine responded by email in the later evening assuring that she would incorporate purple and promised me that it would be tasteful and nice-- she was right, as the arrangement was gorgeous and arrived in the timeframe we discussed. The whole experience was easy, seamless and pleasant; accordingly, it is easy for me to recommend this business to anyone looking for flowers in this part of NY. * A funny side note-- my spouse and I got such a kick at the regional differences between the temperament of, say a NY flower shop vs a California one. I say this with kindness, not judgement but culturally, in CA, the person taking the order would typically be passive and only offer advice if asked of them (and then, good luck getting any). And of course, I am generalizing, but Christine was so pleasantly overt in her participation in the choice of flowers, message on card, speech cadence, etc. I guess we are just so sun soaked and beach cultured here in CA that we speak slower and are more passive in nature. I did not want the typical funeral spray or flowers and instead was looking for a beautiful, modern arrangement of white flowers and some greens in a simple, clear vase with wrapped greens at the bottom. started using this place when I moved to Massapequa since the florist I used to go with is out in Suffolk County & therefore was too far away for local delivery, the first few orders came looking quite nice, the delivery guy was never pleasant but I can brush that off as long as my wife gets what I paid for Today however the delivery that was supposed to come for her never arrived! Tried to call the shop, constant ringing with no answer & not even a machine! Since I placed the order through their website & they're affiliated with Teleflora I decided to give their customer service number a call...first rep tells tries to call the shop and gets the same results but also tells me they deliver until 6PM...gave it 'till 6:30, still nothing and so I called back again - this rep now tells me the shop isn't even open on Sundays! I'm sorry, if you're going to accept my money & confirm delivery then make sure you can get the job done! needless to say, never again read more

It's a shame that more people don't write reviews about this place. I was in search of an arrangement for the bf's family for Chinese New Year, and the Proflowers, Teleflora, other online websites just weren't cutting it for me. I'd also had some unfortunate experiences in the past whereas different plants had been substituted for the ones that I had ordered. Not good, especially since this time, I had one specific request- absolutely NO white (white is the color of death in Chinese culture). Apparently, you can't request to online websites that your arrangement carry no white, so off to Yelp I go. This was a challenge, as I was sending the arrangement back East (I'm a Cali girl), so I had no idea as to the connecting areas for where I needed the flowers to go. It also didn't help that Yelp has very few reviews on florists in the area. My first thought to that was, "Do East Coasters not Yelp?" I called around a couple of places with some (meaning like 2) high reviews, and then ended up calling Flower After Flower. The woman I spoke with was very friendly and patient in listening to what I wanted, and she was very assuring in that they would not include white in the arrangement. After listening to how they care for and arrange the flowers, I was sold (I know, I'm a sucker), and she took down the delivery and payment information. Shortly after I got off the phone, I had an emailed receipt. Welcome to the age of technology, friends. After such a high level of customer service, I was anxious to see what the arrangement would end up looking like. So of course, I had the bf's family send pictures, and they were beautiful. My unfortunate situation - I was calling from out of state, hoping to find a florist open on Sunday because I needed flowers delivered for a funeral service that I was unable to attend. I called a few places and no luck, but when I called this place I was able to get a hold of the owner, Christine. She was very empathetic to my situation and was able to take my order. And even though they don't make deliveries on Sunday, Christine offered to deliver the flowers in person. I got flowers for my fiance to bring to her after her bridal shower was over and came here to pick them up as it was the closest to my location and the reviews were solid. First off, they were very very nice here and made a really nice bouquet. The experience was great. My problem is as follows: When I walked in, I told them my situation and immediately went with using their judgement on what I should get for my fiance... they said Roses being it's a special occasion. Makes sense. They pull out pink roses and go to work on the bouquet while conversing with me. Up to this point I'm very happy... Then, once it came to payment, they charged me $92 for a dozen pink roses (NOT red) claiming they were Valentines day prices when it was exactly ONE WEEK before Valentines day. They are already starting to wilt and it's only been like 3 days. They were opening already the day I got them. I feel like they recommended roses especially due to the price increase and that's not cool. I paid $7.50 per rose. I feel betrayed and was genuinely angry about it for days after. They took advantage of someone who is not experienced. I feel like if they knew that the price was going to be that high, they would have told me what it was before they took my card. I was expecting between $35-$45 at most. Come here if it's convenient to you, I'm not trying to tell anyone otherwise. Just learn from my mistake and make sure you ask how much something will be before letting them make it for you. read more
