They had bomb food. The whole food pyramid every meal. I only got sick after I left the hospital.

My brother, who initially brought him, was not feeling well and left right after updating me. Even though we explained this clearly, an aggressive security guard immediately tried to throw me out, called another guard, and they were getting ready to physically remove me while my elderly, confused father was somewhere in the hospital having X‑rays done. I was calm, just trying to make sure my father had a familiar face when he came back, but security refused to listen. The nurses were rough, cold, and showed no compassion; they did not even clean the blood from my father's face after his fall--I had to do it myself. The only professional and kind person was the ER doctor, who de‑escalated the situation when my father returned. The overall environment felt hostile and unsafe for an elderly patient and his family. The ER is also poorly signed and hard to find, especially compared with other Scripps locations like La Jolla and Hillcrest, which feel like completely different hospitals in terms of care and organization. I will never go back to this ER and do not recommend it to anyone, particularly if you are bringing in an elderly or vulnerable loved one

Meanwhile I'm there with my fingers down my throat trying to get whatever was stuck, out. The blonde nurse in the ER was slightly rude. The rooms were massive I feel like if they split them in half they could serve more people. It was existentially freezing and I had to ask for a blanket which took them about 30 minutes. Eventually we went for X-rays and I was there a total of 5.5 hours and I kept making myself vomit to get whatever was stuck. I eventually got it myself without the assistance of anyone. When looking outside of the curtain, there is NO SENSE of immediacy. NONE. All the nurses and doctors seem to walk casually as if there isn't an emergency. I was seen way quicker in the past at the family health center's Urgent Care. The bathroom stank and there was someone's poop on the floor. Never again.

Due to this year's change in insurance. I've had to suffer the ineptitude of Molina...particularey any mental health protocol. Shocking! and potentially harmful. 100% incompetent/ negligent. I was transferred at least 8 times, plus "call-back" numbers...simply trying to obtain a 10-15 minute appt with a genuine MD, specializing in Psychiatry. ALL I require is the continuation of existing meds prescribed by my last Dr. What's so hard about that? I spent from 11:30am to 4pm exhaustively TRYING to connect to a legit psychiatrist's office to make a simple appt!!! As for the ophthalmologist I saw, he was not friendly and dismissed my concerns. He almost laughed them off to be honest. I haven't felt that disrespected in a while. Wouldn't recommend.
