My friends were looking for some souvenirs of our time in Amsterdam, and not having a lot of luck finding the specific items that they were looking for. Being the "foodie" that I am, I wanted to pop into a FEBO and buy something, just to say that I had eaten there. So, while they were souvenir hunting, I bopped down to the FEBO near Rembrandtplein. Lo and behold, the place right next door to the FEBO was a souvenir shop, selling exactly the kinds of things that my friends were looking for -- and more besides.
Granted, this isn't exactly top quality stuff. It's basically the same stuff you see in the souvenir shops at Schipol airport, only at slightly lower prices. I picked up a tea towel and a mouse mat, which were about all that I would have been able to fit into my suitcase. read more
