I've been here twice this week and love it! On my first visit I had the coconut mango matcha and…read moreavocado toast and both were great. I was eyeing the pastries so I had to come back and I'm so glad I did! I loved all of them. The pictures don't look great because they got shaken up on my drive but I promise they were delicious. My favorites were the blueberry Vatrushka and Samsa with beef (not pictured because I inhaled it) They did accidentally give my smoothie to the wrong table but they were so genuinely apologetic and even gave me a free pastry to make up for it. It's busy so it can get loud but I was able to have a conversation with my friends without it being too noisy. I also really appreciated that the employees were friendly when I asked how to pronounce things correctly. Definitely stopping by again on my next visit to Sacramento!

I came to Elena's Kitchen & Catering because I kept seeing it all over TikTok, especially the kid…read morepancake artist palettes. Honestly, consider this my de-influencing review. Just a heads up if you're planning to visit for the first time: the location is kind of hidden in a strip of warehouse/office buildings, so I actually drove past it at first. Once you walk in, there are two different sections. The left side is a sit-down café and the right side is more of a cafeteria-style area with pastries, drinks, and some of the viral items I've seen online. We ate on the café side, so my review is based on that experience. I was SO excited for my kids to try the pancake artist palettes. They serve mini pancakes on a paint palette tray, with colorful flavored syrups in the paint wells and a little paintbrush so kids can "paint" their pancakes before eating them. It looked adorable and like such a fun experience. Unfortunately, both of my kids absolutely hated them. They each took a bite and refused to eat any more, which is unusual because they both love pancakes. I tried the different syrup flavors myself, and while they're technically edible, I honestly thought they tasted pretty bad. The concept is cute, but the actual taste was not good in our opinion, and it ended up being a waste of money for us. The service also wasn't great. The girl at the register had a very "meh" attitude and didn't seem particularly friendly or welcoming and no one welcome you when you are there either . For my autistic son I ordered a plain burger because he won't eat it if it has sauce on it. When it came out, it wasn't plain. I let them know, and instead of having them remake it, I asked if they could just give me an extra bun since he could still eat the burger itself. They did bring extra buns, which I appreciated. I also ordered a mango chia bowl, and it took 40 minutes to come out. Forty minutes for a chia bowl is kind of crazy. I had actually gotten up and was waiting in line to ask for a refund when I noticed the girl at the register say something to the waitress, and suddenly my chia bowl appeared. It honestly felt like it had been forgotten about until I went up to the counter. As for my food, I ordered a croissant sandwich. It was okay, nothing special, but not terrible either. In total, I spent about $67. My younger kids didn't eat their food, my oldest son's order was wrong, my croissant was average, and I waited 40 minutes for a chia bowl. I drove quite a distance because I saw this place trending online, and unfortunately it did not live up to the hype for me. Maybe it's a better spot for adults, or maybe I just caught them on an off day. Either way, this was a one-and-done visit for my family, and I won't be returning.

Bun N Bite is certainly unique, and you have to be in the mood for a hamburger, because that's all…read morethey make here - along with some fine fries. But that hamburger is definitely worth the 5 full stars! I love a great smashburger, with crispy edges and a flat but juicy interior. When smashburgers are done right, they create a texture and taste sensation that transcends the usual hamburger experience. Crunchy and juicy together. For me, moving here from Chicago, the quintessential smashburgers back in the Midwest were from The Region, in Chicago, and from a terrific smashburger chain in northern Indiana called Schoop's. Those smashburgers are as good as they get. I wasn't optimistic about finding anything quite as good as Region or Schoop's out here, but Bun N Bite changed my mind about that. These are some top-notch smashburgers, with a meaty, beefy flavor profile you just don't find at many places trying their hand at producing a great smashburger. My wife and I each enjoyed the double, and with the loaded fries, it was all filling and pleasurable. Actually, the thin, crispy fries are so good, I think I'll go without the sauce on the loaded fries next time. And the people working there are SO nice. Really nice. The young lady who took our order and brought our food out to the picnic table was as cheerful and helpful as could be. These folks are clearly interested in making sure you enjoy what they make. It's just a small food truck along the side of Antelope North Road, and it looks pretty lonely by itself, with just a wooden picnic table for anyone deciding to eat on site. My wife and I thought it was different enough to be fun, and we enjoyed the whole experience. If you're in the mood for a great smashburger, this is definitely the place!

So this came out to $17 and change. I handed them a $20 bill for a meal that felt like it should've…read morecost about $10. I'd heard this place was supposed to be an upgraded In-N-Out. You can definitely see they're borrowing from that playbook, but the execution just wasn't there. The biggest issue was consistency. I don't know who decided burnt American cheese was a good idea, but it completely threw off the fries. Instead of that gooey, melted cheese you'd expect, it was scorched and tasted like it. Nothing about the meal was terrible, but nothing justified the price either. If you're charging close to $20 for a burger combo, the details matter. Based on this visit, the food didn't live up to the hype. They are local, so I'll give them another shot at some other time.
