Bun N Bite is certainly unique, and you have to be in the mood for a hamburger, because that's all they make here - along with some fine fries. But that hamburger is definitely worth the 5 full stars! I love a great smashburger, with crispy edges and a flat but juicy interior. When smashburgers are done right, they create a texture and taste sensation that transcends the usual hamburger experience. Crunchy and juicy together. For me, moving here from Chicago, the quintessential smashburgers back in the Midwest were from The Region, in Chicago, and from a terrific smashburger chain in northern Indiana called Schoop's. Those smashburgers are as good as they get. I wasn't optimistic about finding anything quite as good as Region or Schoop's out here, but Bun N Bite changed my mind about that. These are some top-notch smashburgers, with a meaty, beefy flavor profile you just don't find at many places trying their hand at producing a great smashburger. My wife and I each enjoyed the double, and with the loaded fries, it was all filling and pleasurable. Actually, the thin, crispy fries are so good, I think I'll go without the sauce on the loaded fries next time. And the people working there are SO nice. Really nice. The young lady who took our order and brought our food out to the picnic table was as cheerful and helpful as could be. These folks are clearly interested in making sure you enjoy what they make. It's just a small food truck along the side of Antelope North Road, and it looks pretty lonely by itself, with just a wooden picnic table for anyone deciding to eat on site. My wife and I thought it was different enough to be fun, and we enjoyed the whole experience. If you're in the mood for a great smashburger, this is definitely the place! read more

So this came out to $17 and change. I handed them a $20 bill for a meal that felt like it should've cost about $10. I'd heard this place was supposed to be an upgraded In-N-Out. You can definitely see they're borrowing from that playbook, but the execution just wasn't there. The biggest issue was consistency. I don't know who decided burnt American cheese was a good idea, but it completely threw off the fries. Instead of that gooey, melted cheese you'd expect, it was scorched and tasted like it. Nothing about the meal was terrible, but nothing justified the price either. If you're charging close to $20 for a burger combo, the details matter. I'm nearly confident I can say this was the perfect burger! I loved it. I'm not sure what to say, everything was delicious, down to the pickle. I don't even usually like pickles on burgers but these were mild and didn't overpower the burger at all. My husband thinks the sauce was a tad overpowering, but he admits that's being nit picky and that it was an excellent burger. We were disappointed that they didn't have fries...so I want to document it in case it becomes a pattern in the reviews, but the burger was good enough I can't take away a star for the lack of fries. The pictures make them look like the perfect fry as well. Oh and the price! Same price as Smashburger but for food truck quality! Other food trucks would charge $14-20 for this kind of burger. My husband and I tried this place a month ago. We made our way to the tiny food truck relying on the hours that Yelp provided but when we arrived it was closed. I called the owner and he said they would be open by 6pm. We made our way to LowBau for about 30 minutes. When we returned at 6pm they were still not opened but preparing. We proceeded to wait. About 15 minutes passed and they came to take our order. We ordered a double and a single with fries and 2 drinks. It came out to about $30. I went here last night ordered the 2 patty burger with everything on it and loaded fries and yes it met all expectations I was expecting. They make everything 100% fresh on the spot so it does take a bit of waiting but it's 100% worth it. Burger was super juicy and the loaded fries were so flavorful. Stopped by on a walk home and got the single smash and fries. Ate some fries on the way home and could tell right away they know what they're doing. The burger took it to a notch even further, holy smokes. Very nicely balanced ratios, meat was flavorful and the bun held up nicely. Damn, can i give these guys a 10 star rating? We went there last night for the first time and I am blown away. It was SOOOO good. My new favorite burger place by far. I don't know about you, but I find it wonderful. Exactly what I want. The guy running the joint is friendly and he seems to be doing everything. The burger is fantastic. Cooked well, just cheesy enough, with classic toppings, I can't find any fault here. I got a double smash which was like $6. Brilliant. I enjoyed every last bite. I can only give four stars (though I'd prefer to give 4.5) because the fries weren't at the level the burger was. While I thought the cut and taste was fine, the texture was lacking. I was really excited to try this place after seeing them on tik tok. I will start by saying that the food was good and I do recommend trying. They compare themselves to In and Out, but honestly the only thing they have that's better than in and out is the actual fry. In and Outs burgers are better, the spread is better, and the animal fries are better. Their fry is a better fry though. I came out here on Friday night at 6pm and they were closed. Their online hours say 8. The guy said he would serve me, but he already shut down the deep fryer, so I couldn't get fries. I decided to come back another day, since I really wanted to try the loaded fries. The guy said If you come back tomorrow I will be here and I'll remember you and give you some free fries since the hours were wrong online. I came back on Saturday at 5pm this time. The guy from the night before wasn't there. No big deal, I didn't come for free food, I just wanted to try the place. I ordered my food and sat in the car because it was freezing outside. After waiting for about 10-15, the guy waves me over and says that they ran out of fry boxes so he would refund my fries. HELL NO! I came all the way back here today to try the fries. Then he says that's ok, and pulls a box out and says we will make your fries. So I was confused, you had one box left and you were going to give it to someone else that ordered after me? So although my experience was not great, I still gave it a 4 star, because I didn't actually have any issues with the food. WOW! Antelope doesn't have an in n out anywhere close by so this is not only the next best thing, but I'd argue it's better. I got a double smash with loaded fries and asked for the fries well done. It was only one dude working but he did his thing!! Best fries I've ever had, way better than in n outs animal style fries. Burger was good too; next time I will ask for the onions to be grilled, but I think that was the only thing keeping the burger from being great.
