This event gave access to a former home (residence of Ms. I. Hogg) turned museum, a stroll of the grounds including luscious views of Caladiums, and water features. Our entry fee also paid for a refreshing sherbet dessert, and a drink. These gardens are located on Westcott - to park you would need to continue down the driveway where there is additional parking and signage leading to the bridge to the home and grounds. This place is picturesque, and serene. You'd never guess something like this is nestled in Houston. If looking for a place to just breathe and reset while walking the paths and enjoying the plants, trees, flowers, and decor, or to enjoy a lovely evening with cocktails, this is the place to be. We bought tickets in advance as it is timed entry to control traffic flow within the exhibit and conservatory, which I think really improves the experience. I recommend going earlier in the day to avoid crowds. Tickets include admission to the Hall of Entomology / a kid friendly exhibit. My kids really enjoyed the interactive elements of this area and learned a lot about insects. They were even able to touch and feel a millipede. But the main attraction is the Rainforest Conservatory, a 3 story glass enclosure which feels like a tropical rainforest. There are several species and thousands of butterflies in this stunning space. My kids enjoyed spotting and identifying them. They also enjoyed seeing a green python, which was a cool bonus. We had an amazing time here and highly recommend it as a family friendly activity for all ages.

If you have to wait, the park right outside is a nice spot to walk around. The ticket price was reasonable too. They also have a tour guide with you from start to finish who is available to answer any questions about the installation, which was really helpful. It was a very unique experience and one of the coolest parts was that you can record messages and they become part of the actual art installation.

I most appreciated the logistics of the space -- ample parking, well-maintained bathrooms, working A/C, clear indicators of where all the booths were located, and even clear annoucements letting us know when the mechanical bull was ready to be challenged! The subtle interior design was a mix of an industrial concrete playgrounds meets adult Nickelodeon with fun, frenzy galore and highlighting community artists generously. I am so happy I finally got around to visiting and look forward to returning to attend one of their community workshop classes!

I want to say it was some sort of doll show or art show I can't remember. It was years ago. Probably 35 years ago if I had to be exact. We're here we are again. On a cold winter day me and my girlfriend decided to to come check out the orange show. I'm glad we did. It's a very unique place. Lots of cool looking art. One of a kind. You gotta love Houston for stuff like this. Kind of gives you just that nostalgia feeling. I can't remember how long ago this was made but it's pretty old. I believe this is some sort of historical home now. Or a free exhibit for the community I can't remember actually but if you never been here before I highly recommend you come by and stop by and see it. Houston history.

My youngest daughter and I brought our coffee from MFAH to the garden to enjoy the beautiful 360 view of Montrose, Midtown, Medical Center, and Downtown. Tne coffee, warm sunshine and clear blue sky really relaxed us. The were tables and lounge sofas for relaxation. Since it was winter, there were no plants or flowers on display. It was a perfect way to end our trip to MFAH.

There is a good amount of street parking and parking lots. Since this visit can be concluded fairly quickly, I would recommend looking at other potential experiences nearby such as Discovery Green, which the kids would also enjoy.
