This park is so much fun for my kids to play at in Houston. They have a splash pad, blocks, a slide, and plenty of fun places to explore. I've looked into hosting events or birthday party's here too as they have a small section where you can have a gathering. There's also usually a few food trucks around for ice cream, coffee too. Parking can be a bit tough so but there's a garage nearby if you don't feel like roaming for street parking.

I came here yesterday with my family, it was a great place to walk around, relax, and the baby had a great time playing. He even made a friend. There was a shaded area, where we set up. We weren't allow to have lawn chairs tho*** we brought lawn chairs, ice chest, sandwiches and a speaker. Budget friendly & security walking around for safety! Would definitely return.

Amazing family and dog friendly park. Especially great park for younger kids with a playground and a clean bathroom. They often have family friendly events and food trucks. There's a very nice large semi enclosed playground that's safe for the little ones and there are features for little older kids (i.e. older siblings). They have a cart with activities. There's ping pong although that's tough when it's windy. There's tiny putt-putt. There's also a dog park with separate spaces for large and small dogs. There's TexMex place on the corner if you get hungry or thirsty. Parking can be challenging. There are decent amount of parallel street parking spots, but if it's nice weather those are going to be taken.

I love to attend events at Levy Park. Because of the location and the features of a suburban park. The dog playpen called Woof is my favorite, especially on weekends. I don't have a dog but I love to watch those interactions. Kids get to play in the Children's Park. So, did the adults. In this hot summer days, come by after dark. It's more relaxing when wind blows.

Always interested in checking out nearby dog parks around town. We went on a Monday evening so it wasn't too crowded. Free parking was a breeze to find. Dog parks are great but are even better when they split the small and big dogs into separate areas. The entire park is very modern and fun to walk through and check out. I wasn't in the mood for any booze but they have tons of options at the big red stand in the middle of the park. Will definitely check it out next time.

This is such a cute and well maintained park! Though it's not as large as some others in Houston, it's amenities make up for it. Parking: I saw a lot of reviews noting the parking situation. I personally opted for the parking garage and had no problem (of course the garage is pay to park depending on amount of time). When I arrived there was no street parking available (Monday at 11am) so I can only assume it's hard to get a street parking spot most days. Dog park: There's a cute little dog park that's divided into large and small dogs. That being said, I can't imagine having a large dog here at all. Each section is pretty small and doesn't have any real/natural grass. That's a big turn off for me and my doggos. It also has splash pads like in the children's section. Overall for how great the park is I am pretty disappointed in the dog park section - there's just too much concrete and not enough entertainment for my pups. *the dog park and parking are why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars* Kids park: I don't have any kids but the kids park looks amazing ! From splash pads to musical steps, jungle gyms to rock walls - this place looks like a blast ! There's also 2 kid stations with coloring supplies and games which is a pretty neat thing to have! Seating: There's tons of seating around the park from chairs and tables to benches to rocking chairs. There's even smaller tables for kids. Food: It does seem like food trucks come here but Monday about nmaround 11:45am (when I'm writing this) there aren't any. There's also a food concession stand that seems to be closed. There's 2 vending machines near the restrooms though. Pokemon go: I always like to note pokemon go stops in parks and this park has a ton! Great way to get all your items and even visit the 1 gym they have. Overall I really love the vibe of this park. There's large trees to provide shade plus cool architectural structures for shade too, grassy spots yo sit, a path to follow all the way around, and little extra things (community garden, rain garden) that are fun to explore. There's even putt putt and ping pong tables available!

Beautiful oak trees, perfect place to have a walk with or without a furry friend. Food trucks and music, upbeat vibe. Kid friendly for sure. Loved it, an oasis.

An Earth Day appropriate park deserves an Earth Day appropriate review right? If the pictures don't tempt you to visit I'm sure others reviews will. As everyone mentions, the amenities, architecture, food options, caffeine, and community activities are incredibly impressive. However, to me Levy park is about immersion. Although you're meters from bustling 59, you wouldn't know it. Although clustered Richmond road is at your back, you wouldn't care. Although mid rise apartment buildings are in the foreground, you barely notice. Although office buildings linger above Slowpokes, somehow they couldn't feel more distance. Levy park captures the feeling of immersion. When immersed in the experience of the park that has been created for you, you nearly forget it's contrast to the world around you. To me, that's somewhere worth revositon. Although the amenities are nice, the immersive experience is why I choose Levy Park.

Ask the Community - Levy Park

Hi, Can anyone tell me if you have to make a reservation for a birthday Party At Levy Park?

Try calling Houston parks and recreation

Can bring in alcohol for a kids/adult party?

I attended a child's birthday party there and am still hazy on their alcohol rules. It looked like folks were drinking but everyone who were drinking were doing so out of a yeti cup or some other not obvious way.

For $9, your pup can have a specialty "puptail" of their choice: The Hawaiian Pawty Punch (antioxidants + almond milk), Doggy on the Beach (savory broth + carrots & peas) or the Mutt Mai Tai (tropical fruits + coconut milk). For a dollar less, you can also order a canned Good Boy Dog Beer. For humans, they serve canned and bottled beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We ordered the Doggy on the Beach for our two pups, but after a few sips, they weren't too content with their order. They typically love savory, but this special blend was bland. Though intentions are well, the dog bar could offer a lot more. For one) parking-- there is none, as their lot is used for their patio. Two) They do not sell food for the pups, but they have the potential to expand their menu 3) Due to the limited space, they do not offer indoor seating, and the outdoor seating they do have are three frugal ables with a few seats.

Nah, this ain't it…read more My deep gratitude to the city for curating experiences with dog owners which includes thoughtfully creating a separation between large and small dogs. This is a fairly accessible dog park, and with plentiful dedicated parking, which is really appreciated. Unfortunately, the park smells quite bad (probably because it is well trafficked), but there are also places (at least on the small side) where owners have not picked up after their pups, which adds to the sense the place is not sanitary. The pond is a nice touch, but as above, I worried about the cleanliness of the water. I am so glad the city curates spaces like this, but there are much nicer spaces in the city to take your pup!
