Exercise caution regarding undisclosed charges. Despite signing a contract with a specific price, we were subjected to an additional $700 in charges upon the delivery of our furniture. This situation constitutes a deceptive practice. A company lacking in trustworthiness should not be awarded any positive ratings. Additionally, be cautious that they may damage your property and subsequently hold you responsible for the incident. Their moving truck left an oil stain on our driveway, and they are claiming that due to the delay in paying our bill (as we were disputing the charges, but we promptly informed them of the stain the very next day), the stain set in. Despite their efforts, the stain remains, and it is not our fault. You sent a damaged vehicle to our property, causing the damage. This is a lesson learned, never again. read more

We are filing a claim against BC Brothers, local moving company. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND. EXPLANATION: Why? They have being unwilling to reimburse us for damages. It should have been a simple move to get everything out of our first floor and into the garage and a pod on our driveway. (We needed to pull out all flooring for a mold remediation.) The men who were sent to pack clearly had no training and they did not come equipped with appropriate supplies. In most cases our framed art were wrapped in a single sheet of packing paper and placed in a box. Lampshades were crushed in boxes. Pottery broken. Bookcase busted. Antique dry sink latches broken off and lost. They came with no framed art supplies, and ran out of supplies and used ours. They used our throw pillows as packing material at the top of boxes where the box cutter opens the seam, without any label of warning. DAMAGES: We submitted the damages on time and were offered less than $200 for $3,000 in damages. They site the fact that we signed a contract and didn't choose major insurance coverage. We signed a contract expecting professionals with packing training. We were sent a regional manager, Saul, who admitted he does not regularly do packing (because someone called off.) The second guy l, Nod, sent was on his first day and his wife was passing kidney stones in the hospital. The third guy l, Sam, was the greenest; BC Brothers fired him a few weeks later. He set so many boxes on my antique marble desk that it cracked from one end to the other. We hired a professional appraiser at a cost of $500+ and it will cost more than $2,000 to replace the marble. Other major damages include my grandmothers inlaid wooden triangular table which wasn't wrapped correctly and now needs to be professionally refinished, valued at $750. WE LOST ALL OUR FILES: Sam packed up our giant two piece computer armoire. The one thing he did not pack were our personal important current files in the file drawer. We did not think to look on that drawer since the rest was visibly empty. On the day when BC Brothers returned to carry boxes back into our house, their lead man offered to take it to your warehouse for practice moving. Since we no longer wanted/needed the armoire, we were delighted and they took it away when they left. It took us weeks to unpack every item in every single box. When we finished opening the computer boxes we discovered NO FILES and only then did we realize that Sam did not pack them, and we donated the Armoire to BC Brothers with the files inside the drawer. We contacted BC Brothers, but they already got rid of the armoire to make space. So, all our current files, filled with tax documents, credit card files, etc. are in a dump somewhere in Savannah due to the absolute negligence of their former employee, Sam. Honestly, it felt like one would feel if there were a home robbery; we felt vulnerable and unmoored. Company owner, JP Farrell, has only sent us formal cut/paste emails showing zero empathy and making no apologies, not even for even the lost files. I repeatedly asked their Claims Dept.to escalate my request for the owner; only when I threatened a lawsuit did he reply. Again, he offered me nothing more than their original offer of less than $200. It's shameful. KINDNESS GIVEN, NONE RETURNED: On packing day, I was busy being my usual generous self, trying to make sure then men working were treated with respect; I gave them waters, and sodas and I even baked them brownies. BC Brothers is a local company owned and run by a young man, JP Farrell. I have given him plenty of opportunities to settle this for $3,000 out of court; $3,000 (a lowball estimate) will not cover the repairs that need to be made, and cannot replace sentimental things that broke that are of no real value, nor can we get our files back. He has a lot to learn about doing the right thing, offering empathy, DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, and a GOOD OLD FASHIONED APOLOGY. BAD PR: I warned JP Farrell that he should do the honest thing and settle, that it would not be worth the bad publicity; he clearly didn't bank on me following through. I will retell our unfortunate story every time someone is looking for a moving company in Savannah. IN SUMMARY: Tomorrow morning, I will be headed to the Chatham County Courthouse to file against BC Brothers. I've never had to do this in my 56 years. DO NOT HIRE THEM. Learn from our horrendous experience. This should have been easy peasy compared to the mold remediation. I will also be reporting BC Brothers the Better Business Bureau, and everywhere else I can report their poorly trained staff and unwillingness to reimburse their customers for damage done by their company. BUYER BEWARE OF BC BROTHERS: BC Brothers are completely unprofessional. If others have had good experiences with them, I am happy for you. I would not wish this experience on anyone. I was away at school and my wife was asking these "movers" to help put stuff a certain way and they just completely ignored her and for the price is actually insane..We paid all that money just so yall can move a couple boxes in random places ? I would be careful with these movers. They spend hours upon hours wrapping your items and putting down mats but still will damage all of your furniture and floors. They damaged every piece of my expensive bedroom set but only want to reimburse me $120 for it. They damaged a light fixture in my new house and won't even reimburse me for it. They damaged the brand new wood floors I put into my house as well. You only have 24 hours to complain about the damage so keep that in mind and watch the movers like a hawk. I have moved 8 times in the past 40 years, and this experience, bar none, was the absolute worst moving experience ever. If you value not being overcharged and like your furniture, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I made the fatal mistake of having them pack me, so it was a two-day affair. On the first day, they arrived late, and the moving company did not supply them with enough boxes, despite the video I showed them of everything that needed packing. Two men came and packed half of my belongings in 6 hours. On the next day, which was slated for moving, they arrived one and half hours late and it took them nearly 12 hours to pack and move my boxes and furniture less than 2 miles away. The way they packed was a disgrace. Things were jammed into boxes and boxes were mislabeled. I had several broken plates, serving dishes, one picture frame and one glass table top all destroyed. Because they did not wrap the furniture nor the dolly they used, almost every piece of wood furniture is scratched and/or nicked. Luckily, I went back to the apartment from which I moved the next day, and I discovered that three kitchen cabinets (not containing liquids) had not been packed. I also found a shoe on the living room floor. A few things were left on the truck: a $35 leaf blower and several kitchen magnets. Not only were these things not returned to me, but I was never reimbursed for them despite having sent the owner a text message informing him that they still had a few of my belongings. The coup de grace was the fact that they charged my credit card the next day (after I had argued with the owner about their gross inefficiency and the overcharges) without my authorization. I urge you not to use this company!! They are irresponsible and completely non-professional. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. They provided a fair estimate of our move with the estimate at the beginning, but they failed to deliver on all aspects of moving your home furnishings - they milked the clock on the move with their guys taking so many smoke breaks and just in general looking at each other, broke furniture, didn't properly setup furniture that they took apart and then lost the hardware to properly put back together, over charged for items that they didn't even provide, and then charged us when we were disputing the invoice and performance. Do not recommend using this moving company, Just to add we are still waiting on the claim to resolve our broken furniture and missed items. Highly recommend to use a different moving company. They fail to communicate with you on any disputes and just charge your credit card. We have filed credit card dispute and hope to have this all resolved, but it has been so painful. John you weren't there. I did 80% of the job before your crew even showed up. I had everything lined up At the front door in the order they would need to load it. Literally all they had to do was load the truck. There were not more items than quoted. And I was quoted 6 hours. It took over 10 hrs. I've moved my house hold goods all over this country numerous times over a 20yr mil career. Case in point it took your 4 guys to load and unload the truck in 9 hours. Quoted 6. And then the second truck took two guys an hour to laid and an hour to unload. So you tell me where the fuckin problem was???? Their job was done for them before they even showed up. All while your big guy was on his phone or sitting on his ass half the time and whining about how heavy things were. The damage to my furniture wasn't found prior to your crew leaving was because it was deliberately hidden from us. I see now where they get their integrity. When I say I could have done this move completely solo in less time is an under statement. I'm a retired 100% disabled veteran and for that reason I had to hire a company to move. If you need a trainer or someone to run a proper crew I can definitely give you some pointers for a consulting fee of course. This entire experience was a complete disaster and would advise any other disabled veteran or anyone for that to look else where. If I was the owner I'd want to know exactly what my crew was doing. It's okay though. The world has a funny way of correcting wrongs. The only reasonable resolution I am interested in is the refund as I originally agreed too of $937. $150 is ridiculous. till such time I will continue to hammer my review. Other than that this yelp review will remain until such time as this is resolved. I don't need a phone call to talk about anything. We both know what's going on in here.
