The problem with finding a great dentist is finding one that is super-skilled at what they do, really care about you as a patient and are affordable. It's easy to find one with one of these things, not super hard find one with two, but really, really hard to find one with all three. Dr. Ramirez has all three. With other dentists I found in Tijuana (some of which are highly rated on this site), so many are just running tourist mills. I always felt rushed, I felt pressured to get treatments I didn't need or the price I was quoted changed sometimes mid-procedure. On the other hand, Dr. Ramirez is always willing to sit and explain every problem, procedure and options at length in English which is great for Americans like me that know no Spanish. He is very honest about expected outcomes and follow-ups. It is very clear that he takes his work very seriously and really cares about you as a patient and a person. He goes out of his way to make sure the process is painless and comfortable. His finished product is the best I've had in my life. He also quotes a price and sticks with it which will be at least half and maybe more than what you would pay in the states for the exact same work. I could not be happier in finding Dr Ramirez. On the way out you pay for parking with for the allotted time you were there. The grocery store and other little stores are on the first floor and a lot of clinics/dentist offices are on the second floor. Once you get to the second floor, there'll be someone at the main door asking you to check in and that really just states your name and how many people are with you and what office you're going to. There is a staircase, and there is an elevator to get to the second floor. The office is small but very clean but unfortunately in Mexico, what happens sometimes is that the running water stops working and you cannot use the restroom since there is no water to flush the toilet. The two girls at the front are really nice and are really inviting. Feel free to ask them any questions you have. Dr Yasmin introduced herself and she was very lovely and she is the person who did my cleaning and my teeth whitening. She was very lovely as well and she kept asking me if I was OK and was very attentive. So what happens first is that the doctor will check you out and make sure that the items you requested can actually happen that day and then someone comes and gives you a quote and if you would like to continue, you sign the quote and then the work is started. It was my very first time doing a teeth whitening, and while she was doing it, it did not hurt at all, but I did experience some teeth sensitivity around an hour later. The teeth whitening is four sessions of 15 minutes under some sort of lamp on your teeth. It is a small quaint clean office. I would definitely go back.

When I finally went in for an evaluation, they gave me a clear treatment plan and timeline to get my dental health back on track. I ended up having root canals, crowns/caps, and fillings on multiple teeth. The entire experience was much easier than I expected. They offer driver service to and from California and can even help arrange a hotel nearby, which made the process very convenient. Most of the work can be completed right there in their office, and the cost was very affordable compared with what I expected to pay. One of the unexpected bonuses was that our dental trips also gave us an opportunity to turn the visits into little mini-vacations. We enjoyed exploring Tijuana, checking out local sights, and trying some of the restaurants along the way. I'm very happy with the quality of the work, the care I received, and the overall service. They send in a dentist to do the diagnosis and before you know it, some assistant is going the work lol You'll want to call ahead and make sure they won't do that bait and switch tactic on you. I was ripped off, and my health was in huge risk by Dr. Ruth Janet Figueroa. Owner of Wellness…read moreDental Clinic and Proveedor de Servicios Odontologicos. I was referred to Dr Ruth J Figueroa by my formal Dr. since I needed more specialized dental treatment. Which needed surgery, bone graph , dental implants, and to extract two old implants. However, during the process she unilaterally changed the plan. She did not extract the two old dental implants. Plus, she promised me during my consultation on April 2024, that treatment will last 10 months. However, it lasted from April 2024, to April 2026. These more than two years have being a nightmare, 7 dental surgeries, pain, anesthesia, infections, antibiotics, traveling almost 4 times a month from LA to TJ, for emergency appointments, over and over. I trusted her expertise, because she convinced me with her speeches, talking about all her credenciales. Plus, she is a really good sales person. She gaslighted me with her technical terms to convince me that it was my fault. She blamed me that the reason that my wounds kept opening, infections, that the bone graphs did not sticked was my fault because of my "thin gums", or because "I did something wrong". On March 2026, she saw a little recovery in my gums, and Dr Ruth J. Figueroa took that opportunity to install the prosthesis. And checked me out. But, after not even two weeks, my gums were swollen again, bleeding, and with pus. I went back to my formal doctor. Who immediately extracted the old implants, and two more good teeth that were infected too, because of the two years of constant gums infections. The implants extracted were the old ones that Dr Ruth J Figueroa, should had extracted from the beginning. When my formal Dr, removed them, he discovered that they were fractured. from May 2024, that was my first surgery. Because Dr. Ruth fractured those old implants. She put me through a horrible experience, and put my health in a huge risk. Her negligent decision on leaving in those implants, it was the reason of my constant infections, loosing the bone graphs, extra surgeries over, and over. Plus, I lost huge amount of time, and money. After my formal Dr. perform another surgery, to clean the infection, remove the implants, and the infected gums, he went to talk to Dr Ruth about my situation. And as of today, Dr. Ruth J Figueroa, has not reached out to me, she has not cared about the huge risk she put my health, by performing 6 extra painful unnecessary surgeries, she has not called me to find out how I'm doing, and much less she has not tried to solve the situation. Whoever has given her 5 stars, was lucky. Dr, Ruth J. Figueroa has a big ego, she never during the two years treatment tried to find out the cause of my infections, she never even thought that she could have made a mistake leaving those two old implantas, instead she blamed me. Dr. Ruth J Figueroa put me through the most horrible experience of my life, because of her negligent decision on changing the original agreement of my treatment, and malpractice.
