I needed to get to Vestal Town Center by 1045 this morning. Using Google Maps, I decided to take the 15 scheduled to leave BC Junction at 9am to the 47 scheduled to leave BU Union at 930 (Didn't want to fall prey to Murphy's Law by banking on the more convenient 57, which would've gotten me to point B in one shot by 1017). I know, I was going to get there about an hour early, but this isn't like MTA in the city where mistakes and delays on public transportation can be resolved by catching something else in 20 minutes or fewer and STILL arrive as early as you've planned. When the 15 arrived I boarded, greeted the driver with a "good morning", and politely asked for a transfer. The driver asked where I was going. I said I needed the 47. She said I needed to board the 5. I was immediately filled with confusion and anger. First of all, where I was going was none of her business. Second of all, both the 15 and the 5 go to BU Union. Why state that I needed the 5, which came across as me having gotten on the wrong bus? Lastly, I had $5 in my hand asking for a transfer instead of a day pass. I was obviously having a absent-minded moment. Why not help me out by reminding me that day passes are $5 and transfers are $2? My only options in responding to this woman were to contradict her by quoting her employer's online bus schedule information and assert my right to take the 15, or make a case for being on her morning route by volunteering my final destination to her. So, argue or argue. Yeah, right. Why was this bus driver - consciously or subconsciously - cornering me into an ego-filled exchange that would could only result in negativity? Lame. I got off the bus to reset so I would hurt this woman's feelings a little bit or, heaven forbid, rip her a new one. Today was my first full day off from work in three months and I wasn't about to spend it snared by the dark side of the force. You heard me. I was about to arrive as early as possible to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in 3-effing-D, and no one was going to stop me or get me the least bit riled up. So, I stood behind two or three people for them to board the 15 before me, and I got on the bus again. I skipped the formalities and simply told the driver that I'd need a bus pass. Would you believe that, after I put my $2 in the machine and waited for my bus transfer, this woman didn't push the button to release my transfer until she asked whether or not I knew where I was going AND waited several seconds to confirm she was listening to nothing but crickets on my end? Anyways... Dear BC Transit Bus Driver of the 15 That Left BC Junction at 9 This Morning, Really tho, sister? Are you feeling so disempowered and lost that you need to meddle and befuddle others who just want to be pleasant while minding their own business (I didn't want to right this.)? Better than Palm Tran in Florida but not by much. Some of the drivers are not exactly stellar drivers or nice people. Some don't enforce the social distancing and chances are they feel under appreciated. Cheer up, it's Broome f'ing county morons. read more

I have had the same mask since the beginning of this current pandemic. It's not the kind you put over your ears though, it's a neck gaiter. I have also used the bus almost every single day since the beginning of this current pandemic as well. Up until yesterday, I had never had an issue boarding the number 8 bus. I always board at the Park and Ride. But for some reason, other than what I concluded to being just another person trying to ruin someone's day, the driver refused me entry onto the bus. He said it had to be a "regular" face mask. I told him about me using my gaiter since the beginning, and that I had to go to work, to which he said "you should just call them"...so I went back over the the bus stop to try and call them, and about 2 minutes later, he had said that he called them and said it was okay for me to board if it was a "double layered" mask. Apparently it was, so he let me on. This driver potentially almost cost me a full shift of work just to ruin my day. Who would've paid for that full shift of work I wonder... I'd also like to point out that the same driver almost refused my boyfriend the other day and he was wearing the same mask that the driver had on. Complete abuse of power, to make someone worry about making it to work or not. I thought this would be just as reliable as having a vehicle. I guess I thought wrong. This is mostly a warning to future passengers. The driver is a man in his early 40s. Indian I believe. All I can say is record it and stand your ground against him. Glamping is an elevated camping experience - think glamorous camping. I was intrigued to say the least and decided to head on out to Firelight Camps in Ithaca, NY to try it out. I actually did sleep in a tent as you can see. Although it was the inside of the tent that elevated my experience. While it was a real tent I had a wooden floor and a real bed! The bed was so comfortable too. I didn't want to get up in the morning. I loved hearing the sounds of nature outside. There was no electricity, but there were lanterns you could use in the tent. The lanterns even had a USB plug in to charge your phone. The campgrounds were beautiful! There was a fire pit and larger tent to eat meals in. They also had bathrooms to shower in. They weren't in the tents, but just a short walk from them. We had a fabulous time chatting and just hanging out in the common area. Of course what camping experience is complete with out s'mores? When the fire pit was lit the s'mores came out. These were an elevated experience as well. They were the most delicious s'mores I've ever tasted - homemade marshmallows and graham crackers!

Apparently, you can be a business owner, have a PUBLIC website and give guests the option to review their stays BUT if it's not to their liking, they are allowed to use your power and authority, to do what they want. In this case, it was in the middle of me cooking my family dinner. He didn't even have the common courtesy to let us have dinner before telling us to pack it up. This all stemmed from my 13 year old son and his friend riding bikes too fast, throwing rocks at each others FEET, walking around with a flashlight and ALLEGEDLY jumping over the counter in the ice cream shop. First of all, they were riding BICYCLES!!! Peddle bikes, NOT ELECTRIC! So how fast can you actually go on a BIKE!! The rock "throwing".... They were waiting patiently OUTSIDE the gate to the pool for my husband to finish his conversation with the owner, who told him we were NOT ALLOWED to bring the boys back to his campground together again!!! Why would you tell someone that!!! They are BOYS... ages 12 and 13! They were NOT throwing rocks at people, there was no one in the vicinity of them... they threw a couple SMALL pebbles at each others feet!! As far as the flashlight episode goes, they were WALKING around the campground, in the dark, at night, with a flashlight that may have ACCIDENTALLY shined in a campsite or two while WALKING!!! They were not PURPOSELY doing it! Lastly, the jumping on the counter in the ice cream shop!!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!! You can CLEARLY and very EASILY walk around the counter if you want to! Jesus, the friend that came with my son had to be helped climbing in the back of my husbands truck!! There is NO WAY that him or my son climbed on a glass counter!! This campground is definitely geared more toward the elderly and the retired! Most sites there are permanent so the "weekenders" or the "vacationers" get the short end of the stick. They do not get the same treatment or respect as the "regulars" especially if they have kids! Boys are boys!!! I understand they need to be respectful and responsible, however, it's a campground, they are on peddle bikes, messing around with each other, minding their own business and hurting not ANYONE! My opinion would be do not go here if you have children, especially preteen to teenager boys. There is not much geared towards kids at this place. Almost all campgrounds have pools, ice cream and a playground. There are other options. If you have children, maybe pick a better place that is more for your children. Unfortunately, camping at a place that doesn't put children first, will no longer be my first choice. I also want to add that my husband and I don't smoke marijuana but it was definitely present at the campground... so my boys can't be "boys" but I have to smell that crap everyday I'm camping, because it's "legal" For years, I would have proudly and happily given Belden Hill a 10 star review but after this weekend and feeling like this place had it out for my boys from the second we showed up, it's a one because I can't give a zero. One of the BEST(and the worse) parts of this whole experience was, as he (the owner) was talking to my husband, he said REPEATEDLY, "boys will be boys" Pick a side Brian!!! Either the elderly or the vacationeers! I bet you didn't tell the people that complained about us "boys will be boys" I can only hope they see this review and realize you are playing both sides!! But then again, since you favor the elderly and the retired, they probably don't have much to do with google reviews! The whole experience is sickening!

Conversation over. But, really, who can blame them for being a little insular? They have built a friendship circle and maintained it for decades. They are happy. However, they are definitely not motivated to engage outsiders. Although these are generally pleasant, exceptionally kind, people...anybody interested in art, politics, drama, literature, or in anything other than banal pleasantries might be bored here. Even sexual banter is hard to come by in these parts. Recollections from the Saturday night bonfire: A Puerto-Rican No-Longer-Boy danced on a picnic table like an aggrieved postal worker who, as a punchline in some long-forgotten 70s sitcom, had been requisitioned the short pants of his Postal Service Summer Uniform two non-trivial sizes too small. Then there is the crowd who take the proposition 'display of the nude human form is by definition beautiful' with absurd earnestness, apparently deeming themselves so beautiful that the occasional "and then I sh@t right in my pants!" might be swept under the rug. In truth, any faint mists of dignity had been swept away early in the season with the Poison Ivy. "No, YOU are a c#nt b#tch!" slices the air, absent any proper foreshadowing. "It was the organ player! The ORGAN player!!!..." rang out from some quarter, with that particular, highly stylized urgency of tone and timbre that one used to hear in dive bars with names like "The Flame" or "The Candle." You get the picture.

It's a very welcoming campground. Fun theme weeks, a giant pool and very friendly campers abound…read more I've been to others but, the community here makes this place a stand out. Love the place.

Got to the airport, was going through security, and had my bag pulled aside. The TSA agents were incredibly pleasant, but they were pulling every. single. bag. aside... my bag got pulled aside for a square compact. Really???? Bag got put through security again... everything was fine... and I went on my merry way... ... then I got a notice that my flight was delayed. Fine. I went and sat in the hallway leading to Gate 6 for the extent of my delay, working away on emails for my office while I waited for my plane. Fortunately, I had enough of a buffer in Detroit to account for the layover, but getting out of Binghamton was my first flight of the day and getting quickly delayed wasn't helpful. Ugh. Parked at the airport from Friday morning until late Sunday. I can't remember what the cost was... around $20, maybe? I have no idea. By the time my flight coming home landed in Binghamton around 11:30pm on Sunday night? I was dazed, tired of Delta delays, and just wanted to be home. TL;DR The people here are pleasant, but the airport is tiny and I was delayed getting out of Binghamton for my connection in Detroit. With minimal options to get back home, I was just praying nothing would happen to my late night flight back to Binghamton from Detroit a couple days later. Ugh.

My daughter and I shared a large tent with 2 fantastic queen beds and had plenty of room for the kids beds and our luggage. My son had his own separate suite with 1 queen bed and was very comfortable also. The property gave the little ones plenty to do, playing in the clear creek and running around the open area with provided lawn games and toys. We day tripped to the beautiful town of Owego and a local winery, we will be back!

The owner came out immediately to attend to our needs. It was a quick and painless process to sign in. We were shown our campsite that was quiet and beautiful. We walked around the campgrounds to the lake and fished a little. They had game night but only after we finished with a swim in the very large pool.
