He…read moreresponded to our inquiry quickly, got back to me right away when I had questions, and was able to complete the job more quickly than we expected. We had them replace the ripped porch screens, power wash railings, roof, and the entire exterior of the house, as well as clean the gutters. They also replaced our old lousy gutter guards. Rudy did several walk arounds with me during the project to show me the progress and point out areas of concern, such as places where there were gaps in the existing deck trim that had caused water damage under the fascia. They were able to replace all of the rotting boards and added new trim to cover the gaps, which we hadn't planned on, but it made the deck much more sound and looks great, even better than before! He also pointed out that a number of our other old window screens around the house were frayed or torn, and offered to replace them while they were there, at a very fair price. The entire deck/porch looks new again. His team took care to carefully clean up the work site before they left. This is a family business, and they were consistently kind and very responsive. We will definitely use them again for future projects.

Based on recommendations from family members we contacted this business to help with some home…read morerenovations. Bill was very personable when we met to discuss our project. After giving him a tour of the rooms we wanted renovated, we gave Bill a copy of our home plans to help him create his new plans, and he told us he'd get in touch with us in a week or so. We never heard from Bill again. After about a month, I contacted Atkinson Assoc. and requested or plans be returned. The receptionist said she'd give him the message. We neither received our plans nor any contact from the business. Again, I contacted them to request our plans be returned. The receptionist said she was surprised we'd never heard from Bill and that she would, again, give him the message, and have him call us. She even took our number to make sure they had the correct one. Again, we never received our plans, nor heard from Bill. When telling our family member about the situation, they said they'd call Bill. They later let us know that Bill was currently out of town for a short time but would contact us upon his return. Surprise! Nothing. If Mr. Atkinson was not interested in giving us an estimate for our project, we would not have been offended, but all he had to do was be honest. We paid to make a few copies of our home's plans to assist builders with their estimates and plans. Why take the plans if Mr. Atkinson was just going to toss them aside? Despite his work for family, I have no confidence in Mr. Atkinson's ability or intent to work with those with smaller renovations and/or budgets in mind.
