A few years ago, Chris did a great job pruning the falling branches of a great big tree on our lawn. This year, his son and team helped us get rid of a few side bushes and two smaller trees as we are planning to clean up our yard this year. They were very friendly, professional, quick and affordable. And Judy was very nice and efficient when working with her to schedule the appointment. Called three times and left two messages with no response. Finally got through and scheduled a time for an estimate. I followed up with him two hours prior to the scheduled time to confirm but again no answer. Texts me an hour after that he can't make it and that he has to reschedule. I took off of work specifically to meet with him and he doesn't have the courtesy to let me know ahead of time that he can't make it. Completely unprofessional and clearly does not care. read more

After Hurricane Sandy, I had to have a partly uprooted tree removed in a hurry. Afterward, I took the time to get estimates for grinding the enormous stump. Chris of BCB gave me the lowest estimate and used a huge stump grinder to quickly take care of the stump and uprooted soil. My only criticism is that he could have communicated a little better about when he would do the job. He said he'd probably come the same week he gave the estimate, but didn't, and then he showed up without calling the following week. This is a minor criticism, though. Chris is a nice guy and I would definitely use his company again. I wish I'd known about him before I used the other company to remove the uprooted tree. read more

We had a tree in our back yard which needed to be removed and two additional trees which were in bad need of grooming. Chris came out and reviewed our needs and gave us very helpful and knowledgeable advice. His quote was VERY reasonable. My husband and I were very impressed with his professionalism and moved forward with the project. The day of our removal Chris and his team showed up on time and did one hell of a job. They were very careful with removing our fence and took great care to not disturb our neighbors yards. The tree was down quickly and without a single problem. The stump ground down so well you would never know that big old tree was there. The other two trees were trimmed and look lovely. The crew cleaned our back and front yards and I swear that it was cleaner when they left than when they started. We were thrilled at the care and ease in which we had and highly recommend them. During Hurricane Sandy a giant tree fell atop our house, crushing the side of our house and damaging much of our roof. The structural integrity of the house was compromised. There were leaks and branches coming into the ceiling and attic. Our insurance carrier refused to come out to see the home until the tree was removed. We called many tree services. Most were unable to return our calls and those that did said they would come but did not. Others who spoke with us told us only a crane could do the job. We received an estimate from one company that was mind boggling and then they said that work would not begin until maybe late next week We were despondent and desperate until we found BCB Tree services. They returned our call . They sent someone from a job site where there was devastating damage to look at ours. They said they could do it without a crane , without further damage and would start the next day. They quoted a fair price. We were relieved of course but felt it was too good to be true. The next day they arrived with a full crew, all the equipment and trucks and to our astonishment and disbelief removed the tree, safeguarded our roof, and removed the considerable mess. We are now safe and the insurance company will have to find another excuse not to come appraise our damage. In short this company run by a husband and wife are nothing short of amazing! read more

I met with 4 different tree companies in the local area. BCB was the 2nd best in price. Chris also seemed very trustworthy and I liked that he said he would be present while his team of 4 guys came to work on our back and front yard. They came on time as scheduled, trimmed many tall trees and cleared and/or trimmed almost all our shrubs. I was expecting it to be a full day project because we had so much we wanted done but they finished up by mid-afternoon and hauled away all of the branches/shrubs/vines, etc. We were very happy with the work and would definitely refer him to friends and family. My husband really liked 1 other guy we got a quote from as well but he was significantly more expensive so I'm really happy we went with Chris! Chris and his crew just finished a job at my house. He said, "you have a lot of trees here!" And I said, "yes I do!" I found Chris to be delightful and competent. His crew was terrific. What hard workers! Chris had nice equipment too. In addition, he was timely, reliable, organized, and efficient performing quality work and cleanup. I even paid them more for the job simply because I thought they deserved it. Would definitely use BCB again! His team exceeded my expectations ! After receiving a number of quotes for some tree maintenance at my house, I was surprised and pleased by the competitive price I got from Chris from BCB. The work included the removal of a 40+ foot tree, pruning of numerous other trees, and stump removals around my yard. Not only was the price right, but the work was done quickly, exactly as specified, and the clean-up left my property looking better than when the crew had arrived! In fact, during the work, I requested that a few other small jobs be completed and Chris and his guys got it done. They even hung a tire swing for me using a tire that they had lying around in their yard. These guys were great.
