I'm a new home owner and was completely new to landscaping work required for front and backyard. I…read morehired Blue Ox for grinding a small stump in my front yard, and the work they did was quick and clean. This included the prompt visit by Kim to inspect the stump to quickly asses the work and quote in my mail. I wish more business owners had the same attitude and passion in the work they did. This is not something I gauged based on the work they did on the stump, but the additional discussion I had on a quote for tree removal. I have three tree's in my back yard, and where most business owners would've tried to convince me to get rid of as many trees to further their business cause, Kim took the time to educate me about the tree which would most sense to remove. Only when Kim pointed at the visible pruning marks on the tree did I realize that the other two trees were taken care off and that I would only need to prune them in another two or three years. We ended up deciding to remove one tree that is too small to prune as it would end up looking like a tree with no branches and smaller than the other two trees hence does not provide any shade. Apart from this, she told me about my front yard grass that should spring up once temperatures steadily get into the 50's. This was eye opening, because other landscapers told me the grass was dead and I need to thatch it completely. The type of grass I have just looks dead during winter but blooms in spring. Even if I give the benefit of doubt to other landscapers who told me my front yard grass was dead because they might not be knowledgeable, I would count this in favor of Kim because she saved me from undertaking a work that I didn't need to.
