It's amazing but somehow this guy keep getting reviews erased. I have a local business and reached out for help. After screwing up multiple tax returns and questioning his lack of communication via his assistant, I was fired for rudeness. This was there weeks before taxes were due. He hadn't done them! Expecting serviced to be done and after 8 months of waiting, ya I may get rude. Refused to meet with me. Does all work through an assistant, not a CPA. She is not who I hired. As a small business owner, I would have liked some sort of guidance on acceptable business expenses/write offs and tax corp classification recommendations, instead of sending multiple emails with questions. My husband and I ended up doing everything through his online portal & communicating via email. Which is nice & convenient when you don't have a lot of time to meet in person. Cons: I'm only giving two stars because his communication was terrible. He didn't explain anything to us unless we asked for every detail we wanted to know. He didn't provide any advice on how we could save money the following year or find tax write offs. He asked no questions except the basic to file our taxes. My brother has a accountant who gives them all kinds of tips and such. So that was the expectation we had gone in with. For the past four or five years I've gone to H&R block to file my taxes. Some times feeling relieved I took them to someone, other times wishing I just did them myself instead of paying someone who didn't seem to have a clue on how to file an out of state tax return ask ME for help. We have used TurboTax for several years, but after buying a house in 2015, we had some questions and wanted to take our taxes to a professional we could talk to. Bryce had excellent reviews on Yelp, so we decided to give him a try and were very pleased with the results. He runs his business out of his home, which can be a little disconcerting if you aren't expecting that, so just keep that in mind.
