If I could give them 6 stars, I would. I had technicians come out on Friday and Monday (2 visits) when my HVAC wasn't performing correctly. They came on Friday to give a second opinion when a competitor quoted me a $14k complete replacement because my compressor was "dead" and would no longer function because of its age. The tech on Friday correctly diagnosed high superheat, and noted that the compressor was operating within expectations at off-design conditions. A root cause was not identified, but we had good guidance to work from and survive the weekend. On Monday, they came back out to follow up on the poor performance that persisted through the weekend. Despite leading them with the wrong suggested diagnosis, the tech evaluated the problem thoroughly and quickly found the root cause. The A/C was back to normal by Tuesday and will last several more years. Both times, the techs were inquisitive, knowledgeable, and honest. We got home from a trip on a Sunday and the AC was not blowing cool air. I called and spoke with Samantha who was very courteous and explained when someone could come out on Monday. The technician, Erick came out at the noted time and quickly found the problem. He explained what he did and patiently answered many questions from me. He was very professional. The tenants in my rental property were complaining mid-summer about their bedrooms being hot, so I read a bunch of reviews and chose BCS Air Solutions to come save the day. They sent a guy out, and he called me with his diagnosis. He proposed to install a fancy thermostat with sensors in each upstairs room. I let him completely finish. Then I said that the last time I was there, I noticed cold air flowing downstairs when only the upstairs thermostat was on. And then the guy said they could fix that by installing new dampers. I said okay and we forgot about the fancy thermostat plan. It must have been all that was needed, because my tenants never complained again. SO - I'm happy that they competently fixed the problem, but I can't give 5 stars when they missed the real problem when diagnosing. read more

They were awesome. They reviewed all the info on my heating and Air systems. Went over options and answered all my questions. Even addressed that not everyone has that much cash on hand for an A/C and heat replacement and explained the options they had for financing. They went over warranty and the space and size info for our unit (we know when we called them we needed a new system). Other quotes were not nearly as thorough or competitive. We already weren't happy with you. Whoever did the inspection left the attic hatch off and the lights were on up there. If you didn't sabotage the duct work it had to have recently happened. I'm in menopause so if the AC isn't working properly, I call someone. The timing is definitely suspicious. When it became noticeable the AC wasn't cooling down as quickly as normal, we went upstairs and the attic room was freezing. We called our AC guy the next day and he came and fixed it. Everyone we showed your report to (builders, other agents, lawyers for said agents) agreed that it was unlikely. We have bought/sold houses in several states, maybe it's a small town thing but I have never seen an inspection that had an estimate attached to it to fix the things on it. At the very least, it should be a conflict of interest. That's when we should have gotten the 2nd opinion. Instead, we gave concessions to the buyer because I was tired of people being in the house and I just wanted to move on. That's on us. (Yes, my other review I used a pseudonym. EVERYTHING I said was true, I just didn't want to get harassed by you again. This time, real name still 100% true). It is my opinion that you exaggerated the inspection to make $$ and I would not recommend anyone using you. read more

This is a great company with great service. Karl is the best. He helped me with my inspection when I was going to buy my place and he warned me that the unit was old but I could get a little more life out of it. When it did start to go out, BCS helped keep it running a little while longer until it clearly needed to be replaced. Best thing was that while we waited for the unit to come in and for me to get on the schedule (which was only a couple of days) they came by and checked on the cooling while I was out of town and did a Freon re-fill for me so that place stayed reasonably cool. Karl and the team also helped me deal with my home warranty company to get some money out of them and also helped me get my rebate from the City of College Station. Attention Realtors and home buyers and sellers. If you want an honest, fair HVAC inspection, DO NOT use BCS Air Solutions. Their top priority is selling brand new HVAC systems and trying to find every possible problem with an existing system. They used misleading pictures to manipulate a nervous, elderly buyer into believing that the HVAC system in the home they wanted to buy was iinstalled improperly, was not operating efficiently and needed to be totallly replaced. Two subsequent HVAC companies were hired to inspect the system and both companies put in writing that the system did not need to be replaced, was in good working order, and just needed a few minor tweaks. One of the most egregious pictures they provided was a close up of rust that made the drain pan look like it was ready to fall apart from rust. Another inspection company took a picture of that same drain pan that showed the WHOLE drain pain and that rust was a tiny spot in one corner. The tactics Air Solutions used caused the homeowner to either lose a cash sale or give the buyer an unwarranted credit for an unnecessary, over priced top of the line whole new HVAC system. Amazing! Fast, friendly, professional. I needed service today, and got it. Wow! I requested service through Air Solutions' website. I then sat back expecting to wait for a phone call from a scheduler to get me on the books for some time; not today. Well, I did get a phone call. Low and behold, it was less than an hour from placing my online service request. The tech was letting me know he was on his way with an ETA of 10 minutes. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He fixed my furnace lickety split and it didn't cost me an arm and leg. Absolute scammers! They tried to charge me $250 a pound to refill the coolant in my ac. I was like $750 for three pounds of coolant. It is insane! They told me lies about how they don't make the type of coolant my ac requires. They tried to get me to purchase some kind of special converter so my ac would take a cheaper form of coolant. I ended up just paying for their services and didn't let them fix anything. I called another honest AC repair service and I only paid $50 a pound to replace my leaking coolant. The repairman said that it was Ludacrus the amount they were trying to charge me. He said the point of business is to be honest, to keep the faithful customers, not to scam them or alienate them. Beginning with the initial renovations in my home built in 1968, Colter and Carl found an innovative way to install duct work for both the baths, which had no prior duct work to them. This was no easy task. Two years later the relic interior and exterior H/AC units bit the dust. If I could give a 100 star rating I would. Can not say enough great things about this company. They did our HVAC inspection for the house my husband and I purchased. Karl was amazing. Three months into owning the house the AC stopped blowing out cold air. The house came with a home warranty so I called them up and they sent out a company located out of Houston that had to make multiple trips, each time fixing another this or that (because apparently they didn't really know what the issue was). Finally I got approval to go through a company of my own choosing so I came back to BCS Air Solutions and within a matter of minutes Travis knew my issue (clogged drains) and now I have my AC back!! I recently received a quote from this company because they told me I had a leak in my coil. The quote was for $2,100 and I was told I should have this job done asap. Naturally I wanted to get a second opinion and I'm glad I did because I found out that the part they were charging me for was marked up 3x the cost it should be. I also found out that they put too much freon into my unit ( I needed more because I had a "leak") when in reality there was no leak in my unit and my unit was working twice of hard because they over filled it with freon. So this $2,100 job that I just had to have on my ac unit was never needed. Although I was not pleased with the original service received I will say that I was impressed with how the situation was handled. The owner took the time to personally contact me to discuss the situation at hand. He made it a point to make things right and had nothing but good intentions . I personally was shocked that a company took the time to do this and although we started off on the wrong foot the management addressed this concern and I was exceptionally pleased with the customer service that was provided from that point forward. read more
