We only attended one Mini K-pop trial class and did not enroll, but I'm sharing our experience to help families decide whether this studio may be a good fit. TLDR version: Based on our trial, the studio told us it did not have the capacity or specialized experience to support my child's ASD-related needs. It may be a better fit for children who can participate independently, follow a structured class format, and are interested in more serious dance training rather than a casual recreational class. Long version: Not leaving a star rating because we only attended one trial Mini K-pop class and were not enrolled clients. I'm sharing our experience to help families assess whether the studio may be a good fit for their child. Before the trial, I emailed the owner to ask whether the class might work for my child, who is on the autism spectrum. He responded promptly and was transparent that the instructors did not have specialized experience or the capacity to provide the level of support my child may need. He still invited us to try a class so both sides could determine whether it was a fit. I accidentally arrived on the wrong week, but the owner was understanding and allowed us to participate. The instructor's teaching style was structured, direct, constructive, and firm while remaining respectful. My child attended with an ABA therapist, who provided reminders, redirection, and support throughout the class. After observing, the owner told me that the studio would not be able to accommodate my child's needs in its regular class environment. He also shared that the level of support required during class could be distracting for the other students. I understand his perspective and appreciate that he was direct rather than allowing us to enroll in a program that was not set up for my child's needs. Still, it stung as a parent. When you see your child making progress at school and in social settings, it is hard to be reminded that some environments may still not be accessible or appropriate for them. During the class, the other children appeared to notice that my child needed more support and was not keeping pace. Our therapist later told me that some children had asked questions among themselves about why my child was different. They are young children, and I do not blame them, the instructor, or the studio. But it was still a difficult moment for me as a parent. There were also a couple of practical reasons the program was probably not the best fit for us: (1) I was looking for a one-day-per-week recreational class, while the front desk staff explained that the program generally expects a two-day weekly commitment so students can practice and retain what they learn. That expectation was not completely clear to me from the website. (2) The class appeared best suited to children who can follow directions independently and who are ready for a more structured, skill-focused dance environment. I was looking for a lower-pressure recreational activity focused more on enjoyment and socialization. Overall, it was not the right fit for our family or the studio's current program structure. Families seeking a structured dance program may have a different experience. Parents of children who need individualized behavioral, communication, or therapeutic support may want to ask in advance about the studio's ability to provide accommodations. The communication style also felt fairly direct and "tough love," which may be worth considering for children who respond better to a gentler approach. read more

I'm a student here and I'm learning Kpop and I love it! It's so much fun and I learn new dance techniques every Monday and Wednesdays as much as fun as it is we have to be serious because we want our parents get their moneys worth and see that we try and put effort into coming every day and learning things with our dance teacher. And the warm-ups and stretches we do every Mondays and Wednesdays always makes me ready to learn a new dance or record or dance that me and my group have been practicing for a few weeks. It's always fun to see new people come in and go, but the most important thing is that confident is key and if you don't have that confidence you won't have confidence in your dance. I've been going to this dance classes for three or four months and I've been loving it. I've been excited to go every day to learn something new or add more onto our dance. I can't wait to learn something new after we're done with this dance, but I just love the fact that they put effort to teaching us and making us smile and laugh every time we're there I love this educational center and I would recommend this if you're wanting to learn dance because they would make you feel welcome and comfortable even if you are new they will treat you the same that they treat the other students that's been going there I can't wait till next week to go back and see my dance teacher and my friends that make me laugh and smile and make me confident and make my dancing confident. read more

With less than a month's time, my husband and I needed to find a dance instructor for our wedding's first dance. Unfamiliar with rhythm, style, and grace, we called Believe & Dance Studio on a random weekday to ask if they would be willing to take on the arduous task of choreographing our chosen song. Although the hours of operation says they're open until 6 pm, they were open that day for practice much longer and we were able to come by after hours to get a feel for the dance studio. The beginning: We met with Thanh and explained our unique situation, hoping he would take on this task and help us configure a dance with so little time. To this day, I don't know what he saw in us but he took a leap of faith and agreed knowing full-well that we had limited schedules and dance classes would have to be late at night a couple times a week. Did I mention that he was expecting his second child in two weeks' time yet he took us on??! Fast forward to a few of our first lessons: it was incredible that he was able to read our body language and decipher our personalities and our relationship dynamic based on a few lessons. With much enthusiasm and attention to detail, he was able to put together a choreographed dance that spoke to our marriage and style. Towards the end: sadly, and at no fault of Thanh, my husband and I were not able to finish our last couple of classes so we personally had to ad hoc the introduction and ending but the result when performed in front of our audience and guests on our wedding day was...magical. All eyes were on us and they gasped and applauded with every step. Thanh, of course, checked in to make sure everything went well. Take-away: Just like the name of the Studio, Thanh believed in us and what we could achieve from day-one, even with our limitations in scheduling. He has an innate ability to read and tailor dances to the style of the individual or couple. At the end, we didn't just learn how to dance but Thanh instilled invaluable lessons, not just in our dance steps, but also in life. Our dance lessons also became therapeutic as he weaved life lessons into each class. I truly believed he did not come into our lives just to teach us how to side-step, shuffle or dip, but also as a instructor who listened, cared and guided. Alright, I previously wrote a 5-star review for Thanh as my Beauty Pageant dancing Instructor, but now I am back to give another 5-star and well-received review for Thanh as my wedding dance producer and instructor. I didnt hesitate to reach out to Thanh when it came time to learn my wedding dance. Except this time, I thought things might be different because we are adding my husband to the mix. My husband had absolute no dancing experience, and even when we go clubbing he's that white guy who cant dance. So naturally my expectation for the wedding dance was lower. Yet Thanh delivers again. But instead of telling you how amazing he is, I am going to say exactly what he will do for you: 1. Production Value - Thanh is a master in producing, executing, and creating events like weddings or concerts. He knows exactly what the audience wants and how to captivate their attention. So from the very beginning, he wanted to create a dance that is memorable and mesmerizing. Don't come to Thanh if you just want to learn steps for a dance that you can learn on Youtube, come to Thanh to create a Dancing With the Stars worthy first dance that you will show your grandchildren and the cat next door. For Example: The dance he created for me had a story that matched my venue (castle-like). My first dance song was a unconventional "I put a Spell On You" - it had that dark romantic vibe I wanted. Thanh knew exactly what to do and create a dance where I was under spell and woken by my prince (husband lol). And we fell in love through the magic spell in the dance under the stars with castle-like background. Multiple friends and family said this was the coolest first dance they've seen. My dad send my dance video to our relatives oversea and they watched it so many times and even analyze the story lol. 2. The Expert - Thanh has so much experience in this industry that he will go beyond what you paid him for. He considers how you will look during your wedding, making sure as you dance, you practice your posture and stance for the photos. He considers the timing of entertainment, making sure your timeline make senses for you and your guests. He considered what hair your husband should wear and what dress you will be wearing, making sure you will both look and FEEL your best on your wedding day. For Example: Both my husband and I both slouch with bad posture. He recognized that and corrected us consistently. He told us multiple times that we need to have good posture to look good in our wedding photo. And he was right, compared to out engagement photo, we look bombed in our wedding photos. My sister said we were such good models for out wedding photographer because we knew how to elongate our body, neck and twist out waist (me) a certain way that looks soft, romantic, but also strong. We wouldnt have paid attention to all these if it wasnt for Thanh and his advices. 3. Dancing Technique - Thanh is such an expert in all kinds of dances that he knows your limit the first time he meets you. He can watch you do few things and know what you need to practice, and how to practice, and how long it will take to get to a certain level. I've found this to be one of the most amazing skill Thanh offers. Thanh will adjust the level of steps and turns depending on the overall production value, your level of expertise, and how much time you have. This allows him and you to create the most fitting and WOWing first dance in the time and budget you have in an efficient manner. For example - My husband and I have very different dancing level, I've dance Salsa with Thanh for my beauty pageant a few years back, but my husband has no experience at all. Not even getting low at the clubs. But Thanh knew how to work with our different skill sets and blend them together for one perfect dance. However, from an audience's perspective they won't see the different skill sets, they just see a wonderfully choreographed dance where the two partners blend in as one. We both equally contributed to the dance in different way, and this was the genius of Thanh. We actually did not one but TWO dances for our wedding, Viennese Waltz and Scottish Highland Dance. He knew exactly how to choreographed and taught us both in 6 weeks. My Mother-In-Law later asked me what have I done with her son, because that man doing the Viennese Waltz was unrecognizable :D Overall, I would say working with Thanh is best if you really want an unforgettable wedding, if you really want friends and family keep coming to you with compliments, and last but not least, if you want to have fun and create something amazing together with your partner! read more

We thought it would be fun to do a choreographed first dance for ourselves and our guests, but we got so much more than that. Thanh is one of a kind, a creative through and through. Thanh is our first dance instructor and he really nailed it! We came to him about a month before our wedding with no dance experience. We showed him a YouTube video of dance that we'd like to do in our wedding but the dance turned out to be Viennese waltz, one of the most difficult waltz. I didn't think we can do something nearly that difficult at first, but Thanh taught us from the basic steps, really customized the choreography to our levels, and added on challenges gradually. We let them know that we were doing a Pokémon themed wedding but that they didn't have to stick to it and can do whatever hip hop dance they wanted. Thanh and Believe & Dance Studio are amazing! My fiancé and I came in looking for a dance routine for our wedding, having absolutely zero experience, and with two left feet! Thanh, When my fiancé and I first found you on Yelp and met with you, we asked you for basic dance lessons so we - both having never danced before - can learn to sway back and forth without tripping over our four left feet. From our first meeting with you we immediately felt we made a great decision to go with you. You made us feel comfortable, asked a lot of questions, and your passion for dancing and your excitement to teach us made us excited and giddy as well. You believed that we can be more than "two step swayers" and by the end of our lessons we felt like pros! You slowly felt us out and tapped into our potential. We signed up for the wedding dance 5 weeks course and the result came out so much better than we expected. Both me and my wife had very few to non experiences of ball room dancing before the class; yet after our dance, everyone hardly noticed that. Mr Trung Thanh is a great teacher, simple as that. Not only he was able to teach a "perfect" dance to 2 beginners, but he also successfully choreograph a combination of two songs into a full wedding dance routine in such a very short time (which is a pretty hard thing to do in my opinion). Our dance was so also well crafted by the way Mr Trung Thanh infuse the meaning of the lyrics into each routine. That really means a lot to us as a couple because we choose our songs for a reason. With all the preparations leading to the wedding day plus our daily work schedules, it was sometimes a bit stressful to try to learn our dance the right way. Mr Trung Thanh was really sensitive and understandable when it comes to that. He always try his best to put us in a comfortable mode before each practice and reminds us what the dance is really about. There are so many good experiences about our dance lesson that I can spend days to talk about. Thanh's dance studio is the perfect location for anyone looking for a small private space to practice a routine. It is affordable, spacious and very accommodating. I had the entire space to myself and my groomsmen for 5 full hours. And trust me, we needed every second of those 5 hours The entire space is approximately 20ft wide and 50ft deep with full mirrors on one side and plenty of chairs and resting areas for 50+ people. It comes with a nice sound system to play all your music from your devices and plenty of outlets for charging cables. It also has fans, a restroom and a fridge where you can buy water for $1. I had the opportunity to practice my groomsmen dance here and we had a great time. Thanh was very accommodating and gave us the keys to his place. He has photos of his dance competitions all over the walls and even took time out of his day to take a photo with me. Very nice, humble and good person! One of our family members recommended Thanh to be our dance instructor and we are so glad we decided to go with him. Mr. Thanh Tran, or Tang as we so affectionately now know him, is a wonderful and highly talented instructor! He knows how to teach on a step by step basis. He is versed in teaching all of the dance steps efficiently, as well as concentrating on posture. Learning a dance such as a waltz is difficult, but he is patient, kind, and makes it fun! I wanted to do a special mother/son dance for my sons wedding and Tang choreographed a wonderful dance. Tang went above and beyond what was necessary. This dance studio is the best! Great teachers, all of them, they really do care about every student. I put my daughter in this class about 2 years ago when she was 4yrs old, at that time she was so shy and quiet. Now she can't stop dancing and talking about how much fun she has there everyday. It was my first time at the studio and I had an amazing experience. The studio was very clean, spacious, and aesthetically pleasing. They were following COVID-19 safety protocols and there was hand sanitizers & other sanitizing materials available around the studio. I had a private session with Anthony and he taught me more than choreography and technique. The taught me thoroughly about having meaning and purpose with my movement. I love his approach to teaching for it involved implementing mindfulness within movement and being comfortable with my own body. With only one month away from our wedding, we decided to look for a place to learn for our first dance. At first anh Thành was skeptical about us since we're young and his schedule was packed. But he was still decided to squeeze us into his busy scheduled and teach us. He warned us about how it won't be easy and we have to be willing to learn and practice a lot at home. So then it start with the basic steps for the first lesson, we were serious about learning yet anh Thanh was still make us feel relax and make the lesson extremely fun. It was like learning from a friend point of view, the lesson goes by really fast. So each lesson he can see our efforts and ego, he started to teach us more complicated steps and moves, refine our dance routines.
