This studio has plenty of parking and the staff and instructors have all been very friendly. I took a month of unlimited classes. I was looking for fun workouts. I love to dance and do yoga, but I was also looking for a cardio/strengthening workout. I def. got a blend of both in the classes here which is what makes this places unique. I tried almost all the different types of classes offered, but didn't get to take classes with all the teachers. Core Flow Yoga AND Yoga Sculpt- Lindsay W (Tess was good. I liked the flow of LIndsay's class even more) Boogie Box- Stacey (This is a fast paced non-stop cardio workout. Though it has lots of choreography, just keep moving and you'll sweat like crazy!) Zumba- Heather (Jennifer was easy to follow. I liked Heather's crazy fun energy. Her class seemed more like a dance party than a class.) Barre fusion- Carlene (I really got a leg/butt and ab workout from this class. I also took Piyo, but didn't like it as much because of some of the repetitive moves.). My four year old daughter attended jazz classes at this dance facility. She was a little hesitant her first couple classes because it was her first time dancing jazz. Her teacher was not helpful at all, instead of making her feel comfortable, she frightened my daughter. They have circle time before each class begins, my daughter was shy to speak and so the teacher tells my daughter " if you don't speak, then you are not here." My daughter came out crying and very scared. She then told me, "my teacher is mean, she told me in front of the other girls, I wasn't here mommy". I was shocked to see my daughter so frightened, she was shaking in fear. I was also shocked at what she told me her teacher had told her because according to her teacher, her daughters also attend this dance facility, so she should know how to communicate with children, if she has children of her own. I spoke to the teacher that same day after the incident and she admitted to saying those words to my daughter. I told her that it made my daughter embarrassed and frightened. She did not apologize, but said she would not ask her to speak during circle time if she didn't want to. I kept on convincing my daughter to attend a couple more classes after that incident, because I had enrolled her monthly. But after a few more tries, she still had the memory of "the mean teacher", so I decided to stop insisting she attend and looked somewhere else. Staff should be educated on how to communicate with children more appropriately during times of stress, thus making beginners feel confident and comfortable. read more

Why anyone would pick a studio founded by dance moms with no dance experience is beyond me. I was really put off by this place when I was in a dance store and watched their owners personally trying to recruit shoppers by saying negative things about local studios. Clearly, girls shopping in a dance store in Huntington Beach dressed in dance clothes already have a studio! Sure, every business has a right to advertise and solicit business, but not by taking the low road and trashing their competition, studios that I'm sure those young girls attended. The girls clearly felt very uncomfortable being approached by these ladies. Bad taste. Prior to that, I'd observed a few classes to check it out and was not impressed anyway. The youth classes have no consistency in instruction and do not focus on the foundational basics. I saw girls doing things they clearly did not have the technique for. I will say their facility is nice and they have lots of flashy amenities, but that doesn't make for quality instruction. I respect their adult fitness classes, but would never bring my child there for pre-professional, serious dance training. I really did try to go in there with an open mind, considering that I had been a student at a close-by studio and had loved it, but I wanted to see what else was out there when it came time to pick a studio for a child. We went there slickly because we had a coupon. The first instructor we had was awesome. Structured and kept the little kids in check for the ballet, tap, and jazz class. Then one day they let her go because of differences of opinions about moms taking pictures of their kids during the session. They did not say anything to the moms. Just threw a teacher in there. I attended multiple sessions to see my little one. The teacher would spend most the better part of 15 minutes changing all the kids shoes eating up most of the class time. the teacher also would constantly look at the clock as if it would move faster. (not kidding here either). Now kids do things unintentional from time to time and my little one had her eye poked by another little child. That same teacher who seems board in the class had the audacity to say "Well she has another eye..." Turns out our little one had a scratched cornea. It of course healed and she is back at 100%. As we are all hit with a greater need to be more conscious of how and where we spend our money, I choose to put it were the teachers might be slightly better trained and the staff is more in tune with actually wanting to teach. I will say that I have not at all seen the other classes this place has to offer and I am sure they offer more things. I wish them luck and I hope they make sure to teach the staff to be more polite when incidents like this happen. read more

! Just tried a free class here an hour ago for the hip hop cardio class with teacher Cat. Walking in, front desk lady was nice and very welcoming and even walked us to where our class would be held. Our teacher, Cat, was very, very enthusiastic and hilarious during the whole hour. My friends and I couldn't help but laugh at her method of remembering dances. She created a story at the bar for us to remember each move. "You're a hot guy, you see a girl, and you say hey! Hey! hey!' And with each subject in the story, the move correlates with it. The dance class also had good stretches and common fitness exercises such as pushups and sit-ups. First month unlimited is only $69 and after is $109 but as a college student, it's still a bit pricey for me :( Maybe when I make more money I can try it out. I first started taking Zumba classes here, my first Zumba classes EVER with Jenniferr Saar. She made me fall in love with her and Zumba so much, and I wanted to be JUST like her, so I went and got certified and now I teach my own classes! I have taken classes at other gyms, and NO ONE compares to Jen. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly at this studio, it feels like going home. I have also taken Annie Heller's classes and she is SOOO FUNNNN!!!! Jen and Annie have great energy and choose fun updated music to get me excited to workout. Studio Fusion is a lovely little studio. They teach fitness classes as well as actual dance classes. In the early evening, you will see lots of kids taking dance classes - it reminds me of my days as a dancer. The front desk staff are very friendly here, which is much appreciated when you're new. I did a free week here in August, and have been wanting to sign up for a student membership, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. They have a nice variety of classes here, including zumba, pilates, yoga, and their own creation, called barre fusion. All of these classes seriously kicked my butt! I really love zumba, but I especially like the barre fusion for a good ole' ass kicking. The upstairs room is a bit on the small side, but it's not really a problem. A great studio. read more

I love Studio Fusion. They're a combined dance studio for children and a fitness studio. I don't have kids so clearly I'm here for the fitness. I met my favorite instructor, Molly, here. She combines TurboKick, boot camp, and light weights in her cardio sculpt fusion class. I always drip in sweat. I also enjoy barre here. It's not too expensive considering barre is such a specialty and the instructors are great. Unlike the usual gym instructors, they are really enthusiastic and caring. I've been to a ton of Liza's classes and the simple movements that don't look like they hurt? Yeah, they hurt a lot. They also offer a few other classes like Zumba (take Jenn!) and specialty classes like Boogie Box, Piloxing, and heated yoga. I love the atmosphere: light, airy, and energetic. The upstairs room is filled with natural light, which you wouldn't expect on this strip of office buildings. The downside is that it's expensive. Get on their mailing list though because they'll have good deals. Molly does a great deal, 30 Day Shakedown, where you get a month's worth of Shakeology (Google it) and a month at the studio. read more

This is a review for the fitness classes at Studio Fusion. I highly recommend the fitness classes here: Barre, Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, Ballet, etc. The instructors are great. The studio is clean and cute. The prices are good compared to other studios that are more expensive and with less variety. The mix of am and pm classes makes it convenient. I'm not sure about the kid's dance classes here though. =/ The reviews don't seem so great. I don't have kids, but I don't think I would send my hypothetical kids here. read more

When Studio Fusion opened across the street from my studio I couldn't wait to try it! I received a coupon for a free week and tried a bunch of fitness classes -- Barre Fusion became my favorite! As someone who graduated the full 3 months of P90X I have to admit THIS CLASS IS HARD it really kicks your butt! I met Charles Fenroy at his Zumba class, he immediately recognized me as a trained dancer, and urged me to try his Level 3/4 ballet class. I was nervous, seeing that I'm probably 10 years older than most of the girls (I look young for my age, but not that young!), but he made me feel extremely comfortable. Unfortunately Charles left with no warning and they replaced him with someone who just wasn't my style -- she did not have his guiding, mentor personality, and made me feel like an old far has-been. I would have appreciated if the studio SAID something about him leaving... suddenly we just had someone new. She did not introduce herself as the new teacher so at first I thought he was just on vacation or something. It was only after a few weeks when I asked that I found out he was never coming back. So now he's gone, I'm gone too. I may pop in ocassionally for the fitness classes, but probably not for ballet anymore... read more

Came in to take a Zumba class, but found out they had a contemporary class I could take instead. The desk staff was friendly, but the class was less than I expected. The teacher led us through a dull stretch that didn't go with the music and didn't seem to care much about the class. His combination was nice, but that and the stretch was all we did. He ended the class 5 minutes early. I'm pretty sure if I hadn't said thank you he wouldn't have even known I was there. The facility is nice, small, but nice. read more

I had just ended a series of classes at the SweatHouse in HB (which i LOVE) and thought i should broaden my workouts. So I had been hearing a lot about BARRE method, and thought i'd check into that. After researching on Yelp, I came across this studio. I really like it! It gives you a great workout, and keeps it interesting, so the hour doesn't DRAG on and on. i left feeling exhausted, any my abs and calves were aching for several days afterwards! they offer your first class free if you get the coupon from their website. i believe they also do daily deals every now and again. so you have no reason NOT to try them! go for it! your body will love/hate you for it! ;) read more

I absolutely LOVE the Zumba instrctors at Studio Fusion. All three work you very hard in a fun, silly environment. There are no negative people. Everyone is ready for a fun workout so the classes reflect this tone. I've been attending classes regularly since opening weekend and i can't imagine not going. The best thing that I really appreciate about Studio Fusion is the variety of dance/fitness class they offer. Kudos to you ladies! 4 stars to the Barre instructors. I love this studio. It's so spacious, quaint, and everyone is so nice. I've never tried barre method at other studios, so I can't really compare the classes, but I know for a fact that I was super sore after one class, and that's coming from someone who exercises regularly and lift weights. I love the adult open ballet class too. The instructor is just so encouraging, patient, and passionate. and people in class are also very friendly and encouraging, and i think that's most important. Definitely check this place out if you live around the area, and take advantage of their 1 week free trial. Studio Fusion is a lovely studio - it's bright, clean and it's pretty big once you're inside. I took advantage of their free class offer and tried their Barre Fusion class. Let me just say that after working out 3x/wk for the past two years, I thought I was in decent shape. This class told me otherwise. I was dripping sweat and working hard the whole hour. It was a wonderful break in the middle of my regular jogging/weights workouts, and I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow. I purchased the Groupon and thoroughly enjoy Ruben's WERQ class. It is exactly the type of hip hop dancing slash fitness class I've been looking for. Not impressed. I'm looking for another dance school for my 6 yr old daughter. It's been 5 sessions already. Every single class has been late. I asked another mom if class is always late like this and she said yes. No one apologize for being late or anything. I also feel that the staff here is super snobby. I am really digging these fusion workouts, you get the best of everything! The studio is clean, the staff is nice, and there are plenty of parking spaces. I have been a previous fitness student in 2012 and decided to come back in December of 2012 and purchase a 3 month membership. The studio is really cute and enjoyed all of the instructors. I decided to come back as I missed my favorite yoga instructor,Robin Gallo. The studio only offers a handful of yoga classes and hope that they add more. Since my recent come back I have noticed several classes being cancelled, lack of options and the older women that run the front are not the very personable. The young lady that works the front is more customer service oriented and I truly appreciate her effort to know our names when we walk in the front door. I had sent an email on their website to inquire about adding more yoga classes and heard nothing...a thank you reponse would have been nice. For the amount of money for the fitness membership I would expect the rooms to be more tidy, more classes and better treatment. I am definitely considering checking on other studios in HB. Side Note: I received an email AND phone call from the owner apologizing and taking responsibility for lack of response within an hour of this post...goes a long ways in my book! She also was very considerate and understands the importance of customer service, I look foward to the next few weeks. I am sure I have been marked in the computer...hahaha!! read more

They offer a variety of fun classes (Barre, Zumba, and Werq are my favorite!), which are held at convenient times and are not unduly crowded, so the instructors have the opportunity to help you individually improve your technique. This is my favorite barre studio! I initially purchased a Groupon for unlimited fitness classes mainly to attend barre. I was blown away by the staff right off the bat. They are knowledgeable about technique and have a friendly, motivating way of delivering instructions. Susie is amazing! She seems to find new muscles to target every time I attend her class. The beauty of this place is that class sizes are small and each instructor has a unique style of teaching which yields completely different workouts weekly. I was so pleased, I now have an unlimited monthly membership and have recruited three friend to join as well. But the greatness doesn't stop at barre! Studio fusion offers a hip hop type class called Werq. I've never sweat so much in my life and had a blast along the way. There's so much to say about this class, but I recommend you experience "the Ruben" for yourself (he's the spunky instructor with more energy than a tiny tots class at MyGym). I wish they offered it more in the evenings, but for now I will "werq" it in my schedule once a week. I have attended about 5 different barre studios and I have enjoyed my experience at Studio Fusion the most. read more

This is the first review I have ever written. About anything. But Studio Fusion is too good to not take the time to review. This place is AMAZING!!! I originally went with a deal I picked up from Living Social, and I plan to stick around for a long, long while. The studios are huge and well equiped. The place is gorgeous. The classes are so diverse and challanging that I am never bored and feel more toned everytime I leave! But best of all, are the teachers. Melissa Leonard and Monica Carroll are wonderful! They are friendly, caring and really make sure you understand the poses. I'm learning techniques that I apply to my individual workouts. My posture has improved 300% in the past month. I notice a difference in my body and I am always mental energized and more positive when I leave the studio. I love love love this place!!! You MUST check it out! read more
