Trinity was so sweet. The class is fun and adult-friendly for those wanting to try a beginner hip-hop class. (8/100)

This review is long overdue but ha left a lasting impression…read more Enrolled our son through hb sands for dance at Murdy park (age group 3-5) it was our child's first time. He wasn't never left alone (especially with new people : strangers before but we left him there as we were told to wait outside) minutes later, we were told to come in and received a big hug. When he recognized a song, he went back to the dance floor and danced around the kids. The instructor didn't like that and at one point even said he was distracting the other kids (as he wasn't on his colored marked circle space) For a child in the spectrum, this is hard to do. They proceeded with the program NOT including him. I felt so bad for our son that i had tears in my eyes even now as Im typing this. Every child deserves to be seen heard and they WANT to be included. They just beed more TIME AND PATIENCE than neurotypical kids.

As a mom, I appreciate this studio because the studio follows the Cechetti method and focuses on performances instead of competitions. The end of the year performances, as well as the performing group shows, are very high quality. As with all things though, the studio, the kids and the parents are not perfect. Each situation is so different. However, as you can see by Miss Kimberly's responses to the reviews, she is very professional and cares deeply about the studio and especially the kids. I feel very very fortunate to have found HAD.

A few of her friends have joined too, and they all enjoy not only dancing together at the studio but also creating their own routines outside of class with the moves they've learned. One of the most exciting parts has been the performances. My daughter got to dance at the fair, and the studio is already preparing for a special Christmas event! These opportunities have boosted her confidence and made her love of dance grow even more. Miss Becca and Miss Bailey are so fun and encouraging, and Miss Marilyn, the owner, is truly special. she's compassionate, genuine, and patient with both the students and the parents. You can tell she pours her heart into this studio, and it really shows. We're even planning a private birthday event here for my daughter and about 20 of her friends, and she is absolutely thrilled. We're so grateful to have found this studio. It's more than just dance, it's a community. If you're looking for a studio where your child will grow, build friendships, perform at fun local events, and truly love learning, I can't recommend this one enough!

So whenever they practice for the recital my daughter was made to feel very left out. The instructor told my daughter that she can do stretches or do whatever she wanted or join the dance. Fact that the instructor pointed that out made my daughter felt like she didn't belong. Paying for the recital or not, every tuition paying dancer should be part of the routine. They have my credit card in their system and charge automatically every month which in the beginning we appreciated because we didn't have to remember to pay or wait for a bill and all that hassle. However, this academy not once sent out updates or announcements of any kind. I checked my spam/junk mail as well as regular mail. They say they do send email but we never got it. Suddenly tuition increased by $30 this month. Also we just found out there is an annual registration fee although there was no additional need for any type of "re-registration." They just simply charge it every July. The reason it's not a 1 star is because after the issue arises they refunded this month tuition smoothly as we decided to pull my daughter from this academy. And while there my daughter didn't mention other issues aside from feeling excluded from the Moana dance. We got quoted with another academy close by for our daughter where tuition is a lot more reasonable and she will be starting there soon.

I signed up for the beginner class with Tamra, who is an excellent instructor!!! Her lessons are well organized, easy to follow with very helpful tips peppered throughout class. I have been waiting YEARS to post this. My daughter finally…read morequit after deliberating for a very long time. The last few years at this studio have been slowly eating away at her. 1) communication is minimal unless you're one of the parents who is constantly volunteering. If there is communication we still have to ask for a lot of clarification. 2) "I just didn't think you were ready" was a very common phrase used when they decided not to move girls to different levels. I worked as a gymnastics instructor for 7 years and we had a list of all of the skills needed to move from level to level. The kids always knew what they needed to work on. 3) Since the new studio opened the selection of classes/time slots seems to have dwindled. 4) It seems as if the new owner/s are trying to turn this studio into a professional dance studio... pushing out or keeping the kids who are just there for recreational dance down. The MONEY that keeps your studio afloat is coming from the MAJORITY of your students, Not from the 5-10 kids that you want to try and make a name from. A lot of the staff and parents are frustrated with the way the studio is currently being run and I don't blame them. My daughter only stayed as long as she did because she had been dancing there since she was 5. She brought up her concerns to the owner and was ignored and brushed off.
