Do not do business with this company. As I wrote the first draft of this review, I was waiting for a call back from Lawrence (the business owner) to schedule him bringing us a refund check for a deposit on screen doors my father ordered three months ago (April 19, too be exact) that have never been received. When they were ordered, we were told they'd be received and installed in 10 days. When last we spoke, in late May or early June, there were excuses about suppliers going out of business, with assurance that he'd call me with an update as soon as possible. When he called me today at 3:30pm, after calling multiple times over the past few weeks, usually being sent straight to voicemail and getting the recorded message that the mailbox was full, he said he'd been on vacation, and he was at the dump, but that he'd call me back in an hour to schedule bringing us the refund. After waiting 2 hours, I sent a text message to the number I had, informing Lawrence that someone would be home all day tomorrow to take the refund. An hour later, Lawrence said in response that he'd be coming by tonight with our refund. An hour after that, he left an envelope with cash in our mailbox, and it was $17 short. It's now 7:46pm, and after several phone calls where Lawrence yelled at me, hung up on me, called me names, implied that I'm a liar, and was just generally rude and unpleasant (and all with his young child in the car with him, apparently), he'll supposedly be bringing the remaining money back tomorrow. I cannot say this enough. Do not hire this company to do any work for you. This man took $257 of my father's money three months ago, doesn't return it all, then has the audacity to swear at my husband, and treat us like we did something wrong. He also is trying to place all of the blame for this epic fail on his staff, claiming he was out of the country for the last 5 weeks and that they, "dropped the ball." If I could give them zero stars, at this point I would. 7/21/16 Update: I'm attaching screenshots of the messages sent to me by Lawrence today. I will also be submitting all of this to the Better Business Bureau for review. Again, I cannot stress enough, this is the behavior of the *owner* of this company. 7/26/16 Update: I hope everyone is seeing the responses to this review the owner is leaving. They have nothing to do with the review, offer no resolution to the situation, and only contain false and slanderous statements against me personally. I believe he is trying to bully me into changing or deleting my review with these comments, which I will not do. I will be sure to update this review if/when the remaining money owed to my father is received, and I am contacting the appropriate agencies regarding this behavior. I called at 10am and left a message. Received a return call at 11:30. I explained that I needed a replacement for a residential window. He said he had it in stock, had a previous commitment, gave me a ballpark quote and will definitely take care of it same day. Submitted an estimate online per his request, called 3 times, left messages, even submitted another request. Been more than 24 hrs and still haven't heard back from anyone at the company. Was even willing to pay extra to expedite service. Taking my business elsewhere. read more

Excellent service! I had called BDO glass late on a Friday night as my sliding glass door suddenly shattered. The owner of the company actually picked up my call on a Friday night! I told him my situation and he insured me he would be out Saturday morning to replace the glass..and he was! On time, professional and fast! I left a message and had a returned call within the hour. I had two cracked windows that needed to be replaced and another that wouldn't open. This is the business philosophy Lawrence of BDO Glass goes by. We needed to have a glass shower door replaced on rental property ASAP and wanted to get a local business to do the job. Not only do I support local businesses but I also wanted someone who can get to the job quicker. I had called several businesses, both glass companies and local handymen and only BDO Glass was the only one that took the time to call back, discuss what needs to be done and make arrangements to see the job. I had a great experience with BDO Glass and Window. Lawrence scheduled an appointment within 3 hours of my call to replace a large double paned window that was broken by a golf ball. His written bid was very close to the range he estimated based on my description of the window over the phone. During the call he also checked on a broken shower door that I had been struggling to find someone to come out to the house to fix it for the past year. He actually had the parts in his truck and had it fixed in 15 minutes! I definitely recommend BDO and will be calling for any future glass needs I may have. read more

We have gotten two glass showers installed by BDO and they turned out awesome! My husband and I are very pleased with how they turned out. Lawrence did a great job with the glass choice and placement. He reassured us that our idea to keep the shower entry open would not cause excess water out of the shower. He was right! I called BDO Glass Co. and made an appointment to have someone come to our home to give us an estimate on replacing the master bath shower glass. I was told that they were very busy and had no appointments available except for that very day. We agreed upon a 5:00 pm appointment and I was told they would call before coming. No one called, no one showed up. Not very good customer service. If they can't even show up to give us an estimate, how can I expect them to show up to do the actual work? read more

First shower glass job Lawrence did was fine. Second shower glass door job he left unfinished and still is to this day. No bottom shower sweep, no screw on one of the shower hinges, side strip came off 2 days after installing and I still have a nickel handle instead of the chrome one I paid for. Won't return my calls or text and is filled with bs excuses. Extremely unprofessional and so disappointed. read more

What I appreciated the most was his honesty, knowledge and his passion for what he does. On the day of install, the technicians arrived early and ready to work! They were absolutely incredible. Lawrence provided me one of the lowest quotes to replace a broken window in my bathroom. He was willing to work with my schedule and showed up a couple days after I called which was the day & time most convenient for me. Not only did he replace the glass but he left a 2nd piece to replace the other pane in the frame for free and without request which was a very nice benefit. Lawrence also stopped by to make an adjustment to the latch a good 2 months later because I was so busy I couldn't provide feedback in a timely manner. Not only did Lawrence make the requested adjustment but he fixed another part of the latch that had been broken for a while due to wear & tear (the latch is probably 50 years old) without charge. Lawrence also maintained his cool when I jumped the gun about not getting an immediate response from him. He had a family emergency and despite that emergency he did contact me within 24 hours. I can't believe I forgot to write this review. Lawrence is awesome!!! He was able to fix all the windows in my house that we were having problems with instead of replacement which was all anyone would give me estimates for. He saved me thousands of dollars!! Great Customer Service! I am a business owner myself so I know a thing or 2 about customer service. My office store front which has lots of glass was broken into. I called BDO Glass and Lawrence (the owner) came in the SAME day to evaluate the damage...can't beat that kind of service. W/in 30 mins, he patched up the damage just so that our storefront was "functional". He ordered the damaged part which came in 1 business day and fixed it AFTER we closed so that it would not disrupt my business...yes, he actually cares about his customers and their businesses! I could not ask for anything more. I would refer him to anyone I know for any glass or storefront problems in an instant. read more

BDO and Lawrence were AWESOME!! Started calling around around 8:45 and while all the other companies had recording and call boards, Lawrence was the only that picked up the phone. He knew what the problem was based on my description and since I did not have the exact measurement in hand, he brought several parts to get the job done the same day!
