After a very stressful & busy event season, I finally treated myself to some self-care. I asked Dori to focus on my neck and shoulders, and especially my lower occipital area where I carry a lot of tension. Wow, it was amazing. The firm pressure was perfect and she really got in there and worked out those knots. I felt so much better afterwards. The salt air circulates through the massage therapy rooms, which is great for your respiratory and nervous systems. The facility itself is super clean and welcoming. They serve coffee & tea in the lobby area. They also have a salt room specifically for kids where they can play with toys or read books. As I sat down to fill out her intake forms I wasn't able to turn my neck to the right. By the end of the session I was able to move my neck in both directions and my shoulder had less pain. Monica is exceptional at what she does. She constantly studies new techniques, staying up to date with any new methods that could help her patients. She understands the science behind what she's doing and can recommend actions to help her patient between or after appointments. She's not your standard massage therapist, she's better. Parking was easy at the apartment complex garage behind it. You're allowed to park on the first floor there and pay $1 per hour. The decor is very modern bohemian and zen. The ocean sounds were perfect for me, since the sea is my happy place. My massage therapist Bronson was very knowledgeable and considerate. He listened to my explanation of problem areas very well and gave me some good advice for how to take care of it at home.
