I love the Playseum! This was our first time at this location-which I believe is fairly new-in the Mall at Columbia. I visited the locations in Annapolis and Chevy Chase with my 5 year old, but those locations have since closed. NOVA would benefit from having one! Anyways.... It's a pretend play concept. Each little area has a theme and then there are also add ons you can purchase, such as slime making, decorating cookies, and lip balm making. $15 is the price for all-day play for ages 1 and up. You can leave for lunch-chick fil A was our choice at the food court- and return. Every hour they bring out the animals (bunnies and reptiles) for petting. The places we played were: -camp ground (fishing, cookout, birds) -auto shop (also included a Little Tike's slide) -grocery store -dentist office -doctors office -ice cream shop -farm -fire station -Mexican restaurant -Italian restaurant -diner -beauty salon -vet shop -theatre/dress up -police station -Grandma's house (if you visit you will understand) There's a library as well but also books of the theme in each room. We also spent time in the back room with tables that have games and manipulatives. Despite being far from our home, it was a treat to visit and we will return!

This is my first time actually going into Playseum ( my daughter was too young to get the concept ) and let me tell you that I was amazed. Kids love to play pretend and this is the best place for their imagination to go wild!! They have a fun selection of different rooms geared towards different make believe scenarios. ( grocery store, jail, salon, a few kitchens, camping, dentist doctor etc) They have fun add on service ( like nail polish, decorate your own cupcake etc) as well as water and snacks ( which is always great to have readily available) It was $15 per person which at first I thought was a little high since it was my husband myself and my daughter and it's not like my hubs and I were going to really play in there...We definitely played a ton and ended up skipping the last few rooms because we realized we had somehow stayed over two hours!! I had so much fun playing with my little and I can't wait to bring her back when she's a little older!!

I took my kids here during a week day and we had the place to ourselves! They had so much fun exploring the rooms and doing the activities. There are so many things for the kids to explore you really could spend an entire day. They even have snacks for sale if you end up staying a while. I will say the pricing is higher than indoor playgrounds in the area because each individual is charged. The owner was very kind. We did cupcake decorating, pet some bunnies and played with kinetic sand at the hands on station. This would definitely be a great place for birthday parties.

It's fun to play with wigs at the barbershop.

Not worth the price. 1 kid and 2 adults was $45. Ripoff. Adults paying is ridiculous. Kid got bored in 15 minutes

Of course we have only been there during the week so its not crowded like most places. The sitting area is big and you can definitely watch your kid from the sitting area. They have a little soccer field area which my son loves, the slides are fun, and if you put tokens in your players card they can ride in little cars, play the claw machine games plus others, and taking pictures in the photo booth. Absolutely love this place and i've never had an issue with the staff, they are always helpful and friendly.

I loved that there was a separate area for young kids. It was excellent for my 9 month old and it's labeled to be for kids in diapers. The big kids area was great too. I felt like I could support my toddler safely in it. There were multiple slides, carts to ride down a dolly slide, a soccer field, and all sorts of things. I didn't love the angle on the big pink slide. It seemed dangerous and I saw a young girl hurt herself on it. My son loved taking breaks in the black light space dance room. There are tables and picnic tables and the bathrooms were pretty clean. There were extra things you had to pay even more for like foosball, air hockey, claw machines, motorcycles to ride, and maybe other arcade games. It was $22 which I felt was a little pricey. I think the catch is that you can leave and come back, but I'm never going to spend my whole day at one of these places.

Just about everything except D&D figures--no big whoop!…read more So(!), was in the area the other day. Someone told me about this place years ago, never bothered till now. Managed to get there on a good day, easy parking. it's a small shopping center, y'know? Walking in, it literally was wall-to-wall vintage collectibles. Many still in their packages. Walking through it all brought a sense of nostalgia, but at the same time I felt a dull pain--in my wallet. Whatever your focus is, collecting can be expensive and time consuming. Star Wars, Barbie, He-Man, Star Trek (to a lesser extent)...DC/Marvel superheroes. Collectible toy cars (Hot wheels, etc.). There's a lot to look at. Some in their own package, some bagged specifically for the store. 85% of what's there are action figures and such. The rest is a mix of collectible comics, toy cars, and other odd bits. I'd say the prices are reasonable, though a handful of the limited edition collectibles (such as a Sideshow figure of Ghost Rider on his flaming bike) had prices which gave heart palpitations. Era-wise, I'd say the vast majority of toys there are mid-70's on. So there are toys related to "The Six Million Dollar Man", as an example. There were some older 50's era pieces as well. And, like i said, some comics. If I had more time to look I would've stayed longer, but time's the one thing I didn't have. Speaking of which, they were out of the one thing I was looking for. Not a problem, though. If it's not there I won't be tempted to buy it. One more thing: They opened up a 'dollar store' version of the shop a few doors down. It has what you'd expect to find there.
