First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.

Also a part of the experience of shopping here is learning how to bargain. [Conclusion]: I did end up getting flowers at a shop here (Rob's Flowers - originally $75 but haggled to $65) and there is no question visitors will find arrangements that they won't normally find at grocery stores like Trader Joe's or Vons. It is a good spot to shop for flowers if visitors plan ahead of time and take 1 - 2 hours to shop around.

Upon arrival we met with Gladys at the flower shop and assured us the secured delivery and knew exactly where to deliver. We placed our order and as you know funeral arrangements are not cheap. On the day of the service, we went to the cemetery and when we arrived, we noticed our specific arrangements ordered from this place were thrown on the ground and broken, with roses out of place and in the ground, while the other arrangements from other shops were nicely placed and displayed. as a grieving family, you would want everything to go as plan, smooth and beautiful, as appreciation for your loved one. My husband called Gladys, and spoke to him and said that the arrangements were placed at the gravesite, but yet when she sent the pictures, it was no where near our grandbaby's site. Very disappointed that after talking with her, she was adiment that it was not her delivery workers but instead blamed it on Rose Hills. My husband all he wanted from Gladys and the flower shop to take responsibility for the misdelivered of the flowers arrangements and destruction. Please do not place your orders with this shop, unless you want these arrangements destroyed.

Little Tokyo Florist at first quoted a higher price than I was expecting, but was able to lower the price and include as many orchids as possible within my budget. It turned out that a lot of orchids fit within the budget! The design of the spray was very beautiful, as I expected from photos of her work on Yelp. Delivery was $40 and the spray was $300, not including tax. After tax the total was $373.15. The flowers lasted a long time after the service, so we definitely got some fresh flowers.

What they promised: a small, delicate arrangement with hair comb included, as shown in the first photo (sent to me by Sandy)--I said great, please make it a little smaller, and be sure to use the *same* flowers in the other two items, and they agreed. What I got: a large, heavy arrangement with a hair clip that I managed to put in my hair, but it was not the look I was after at all, and due to its weight, it kept sliding down and falling off; we also got a boutonniere and corsage with pink roses that didn't match at all. For the hair flowers, my friends tried to help me salvage something I could use. Unfortunately, the arrangement was sticky with wet rubber cement, which got all over my hands and in my hair. Luckily, someone had a bobby pin and someone else had a tiny comb, so we managed to remove and use about 25% of the flowers so I could have some flowers in my hair. My mom's corsage did not include any pins; it only had one elastic band and was very unbalanced, so it kept flopping on her wrist, and she soon took it off. The boutonniere worked out OK though it did not match any colors in our clothing. Positives: available when promised; the orchids were dyed exactly as in the photos, and were beautiful! Also, Sandy did offer to refund my money when I said I was dissatisfied. Negatives: hair flowers were much too big; no comb as promised; the giant arrangement was gooey with wet rubber cement, so it was very hard to try to craft something that would work; there were no matching orchids in the boutonniere or corsage; the corsage was unwearable on my mom's wrist and did not include any pins. Another negative: when I called to complain, instead of apologizing, Sandy argued with me that the roses were not pink but "lavender" (and even if they were, that was not one of the colors I requested!), blamed me for ordering too late, and made a rude remark about the fact that I was complaining. Overall: I am aware that florists cannot always deliver exactly as promised. However, no one from the store even tried to communicate with me when they knew they were not going to deliver what I had asked for.
