Our family had a positive experience with Beach Babies on Hudson Way, in Rehoboth Beach. My granddaughter went there for 5yrs. There was a wonderful group of people who worked there that treated us like family and adored my granddaughter and she loved them all right back. I only have good things to say about this center, and all of their staff that have worked there through-out those five years. Our family and granddaughter have wonderful memories from daycare there from trunk r treating at Halloween time, to Christmas parties, and themed weeks, etc. We are also thankful they had a pre-school graduation with cap and gown for her, because her kindergarten class in elementary school did not offer that, so at least she got to have that experience with Beach Babies. read more

After all that time, I was told today when calling to follow up, they had supposedly called me on 5/12 to offer us a spot. I checked my phone records, and there was no incoming call from Kids Cottage on that date. They also claimed they attempted to leave a voicemail but couldn't because my mailbox was full, which is untrue considering my voicemail has never been full. I spoke directly with Megan, who said she made the call and documented it. Based on my phone records, either the wrong number was called or the documentation was inaccurate. I even offered to bring my Verizon records to verify that no call was received, but I was told it would be "pointless." Instead of acknowledging the possibility of an error or working toward a reasonable solution, the only option they offered was to place us back at the very end of the waiting list, meaning another one to two years of waiting. After contesting that Megan rudely stated that we are banned from Kids Cottage and hung up on me. Very professional. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and customer service from the administrative staff was extremely disappointing. If this is how they handle something as important as enrollment, it raises serious concerns about their organization. While I'm frustrated that we lost over a year waiting due to an administrative mistake on their end, I'm ultimately relieved my son won't be attending a daycare that handles families this way or doesn't train their staff appropriately.

They are super flexible with my rotating work schedule and accommodate me for last minute changes to the schedule as well. Most places make you stick to the same schedule every week or make you commit to a certain amount of days each week but Kidz Campus is willing to work with their customers schedules. The days there are very scheduled and education-based. Very little time is spent lolly-gagging or watching movies (except for special occasions, which are always a blast for the little ones!). I work in education, and I've heard dozens of horror stories about child care centers, and each time, I say to myself, "Thank God my child attends Friends Forever!"

As a mom of three under six who travels regularly with our kids, I'm used to working with agencies…read morein different places. This was the first time that the owner of the agency refused to provide a last name/resume/address/credentials/phone number/ANY VERIFIABLE INFORMATION for the sitter up front. She seemed to take it personally that I didn't take her word for it that her referral was flawless. But again, as a mom of three kids who travels regularly - I've learned the value in validating and doing a basic google search of the person I'm hoping to leave three small children with. On Monday, the owner wrote to me, "XX will reach out with a blocked call to introduce herself, if you miss her call, no worries, she will be there for you all on Saturday." I politely asked for a last name and a phone number, such that I could speak to her in advance of her standing in front of me and my kids before I leave to go to a wedding for six hours. The owner replied telling me no, I could not have any of that information because, "XX is very well established in our organization." Then she tried to push me by saying that there's only one other agency in the area and its not insured in NJ and is so large. This was consistent with the level of professionalism we experienced. By Wednesday morning, I still hadn't heard from the sitter or been given anything that I could independently verify. I emailed the owner to tell her this wouldn't work out. Magically, the sitter calls me within minutes of me hitting send and is now willing to make an exception and share her phone number. By this point (four days before the event), we have made other arrangements with someone willing to let me Google them in advance. This agency's sitters may all be amazing. But I've never once been told by an agency (or a competent babysitter, for that matter) that I can't see a copy of a sitter's CPR certificate, identification, or dated background check. In this day and age, we just can't take the chance and go with a "trust me, I run an agency" approach. Particularly when other reviews of this agency here and elsewhere indicate there have been issues of sitters not showing up or not being professional. The owner texted me to tell me that she would still charge us the sitter referral fee because she DID make a placement and it was my choice to cancel her. She and I have a different opinion on what a placement is - mine isn't "here is the first name of a person." She can keep the $20 though - seems like they need it more than we do. UPDATE: 10/25/2019 1) To re-iterate, we did NOT hire a babysitter and this is a review of the agency's policies, not the babysitter herself, since we found a different babysitter before this agency's sitter called us. 2) To be clear, the owner did not literally say "trust me, I run an agency." Instead, she argued that I did not need to see any supporting documents about the sitter (including her last name, a dated background check, or her phone number) because, as she literally texted to me, "I vet the sitter so clients don't have to." In three states and in five sitter agencies, I have always been sent more information and/or supporting documents or we have chosen not to use that baby-sitting agency. 3) The owner asserts that the babysitter called me several times and just did not leave a message. I do not believe this is true. 4) After texting me "as soon as you remove your yelp statement i will be happy to refund our 20.00 fee for scheduling n canceling a sitter," she did go ahead and refund the fee. To be clear, I did not request this refund. 5) The owner has told me multiple times by text message that she is contacting an attorney "in reference to slander and disrupting business on false pretenses."

Also on the first floor lav sink replaced the hot and cold shut off valves and both supply lines. 3. Removed a leaking 1/2" x 3/8" supply valve in the kitchen cabinet which was supplying cold water to the R.O. filters. Also installed a new valve. 4. Did an overall visual inspection of the valves, toilets, tub/showers and crawl space and at this time found no active leaks or fixture failures.

The dryer was not repaired, but I was given an estimate of over $500 to replace the part. I waited several days for follow-up about a new part. In the meantime, I researched alternatives and was referred to another repair company, which completed the repair for a total of $239, including parts and labor. I attempted to explain this to the original company, disclosed the actual cost I paid, and asked why their estimate was more than double. Instead of addressing the pricing discrepancy, the company demanded a $170 "service fee" for showing up without a part and leaving the dryer unrepaired. The company is now threatening legal action to collect this $170. In my opinion, this company's conduct has been unethical, unprofessional, and not in the best interest of the community. If I were a repair person, I would have checked my vehicle inventory for the appropriate part. If I did not have the part in stock, I would have called the customer to explain and reschedule. I am really struggling to understand why you are being so stubborn about my complaint and are completely failing to understand my perspective.

The sitters can take the kids to the pool or beach if you want, which is great. We have mostly had the sitter stay at our house with the kids or just go for a walk on the nearby trail.
