My small omelet was served warm but was on the tiny side of small and arrived with a very skimpy portion of sausage, which was a $2.86 up charge. It was a meh. The "home fries" were sliced potatoes out of a can which had been fried earlier that morning and served cold. They were not good at all. My dining companion ordered the 1-egg breakfast. Her scrambled egg was cold. Our server was friendly but seemed very busy so she wasn't especially attentive. All in all, Ghent Sandwich Shop offered a very poor value with mediocre food. Restaurants absolutely need to make a reasonable profit, but this seemed like a rip off.

We finally stopped by this corner local business simply named NC Donuts. I am glad we did, the…read moredonuts are soooo delicious!!!! Dunkin is going downhill, but now I have a place to get real donuts. They are an inch thick, fluffy and the glaze is the perfect consistency of sweetness. I love a glazed donut and if a bakery can make that flavor scrumptious, we can't wait to go back and try the other flavors. The strawberry smoothie is also very good. I remembered to take a pic before all gone. Yes all 6 donuts gone in couple hours!!
